Working at a hardware store with a loop soundtrack that includes this, the Beatles, the Monkees, the Stones, Motown, The Cars, etc. This song is in
the playlist. And attacking my eardrums multiple times a week. Add to that I have to wear a radio earpiece, answer the phone, and talk to customers
standing in front of me while I am dispatching troops or gathering intel.
Ysterday at the track the personnel were 'testing' the PA system. Evidently this is the only song that can be used to test the system properly. I kept
giving thumbs up and okay signs to no avail. I was ignored, as usual. Testing went on for a long time!
2 On the plus side, I do like the song (just tired of the playback in my brain at this point!) and testing the equipment means it's almost football
time in Tennessee!
today I'm doing okay. Got a part-time/seasonal hourly position and told them I don't work past 4. At 4 I become someone else....I can't do math, or
talk straight. Being "on" and "focused" for seven hours is all I can manage.
So I get to come home and have a happy hour.......while others are still at the office or otherwise on the clock.
This video is packed with background loops to accommodate the musical offerings.
I love movies. It makes me sad that the actors don't get to work "on location" and in actual costumes anymore. Or even "sets"! It's all now syfy
tech and green screen.....and all out of sequence......
that convinces me that live role-playing and improv is the key.
Anyway, this is absolutely my earworm right now
