Informal poll: Do you use ATS dark or white backgrounds?

the dark is much better. the white background is too blinding, especially if in a dim or dark environment. i find the white also causes much more eyestrain, under all conditions, but then i have issues with any light source that is too bright, (i even have to wear a hat indoors to shade my eyes from lights, tho not as bad as a friend who had to wear a hat and sunglasses inside in school).

Dark for me.

Dark always. I like to lay in bed at night with my laptop and surf ats. With the lights off the white background is too intense and hurts my eyes.

So dark background all the way. Plus it works better for the conspiracy theme of the site.

I think there should be an option to set your own colour background. Shouldn't be to hard to code.

I use the dark background. On the occasion that I accidentally click to switch to white, I feel blinded!

this thread is turning out to be more informative than i expected. from the results ats could save lots of bandwidth by just ditching the white option. black is still the new black.

I've been here before the change, and I've always kept to the dark background; reminds me of the old times and it's more soft on the eyes, too.

I use dark for the same reasons as most others, much easier on the eyes. That and for some reason I lose that ATS feel when I try the white background.

I use the dark background, as well. I've always preferred it that way. I guess cause it just looks cool to me; maybe it is a little easier on the eyes, as well...

Dark.... the white is far too bright.

I use dark... because it matches my heart.

Well I'm certainly in the minority here but I use the white! I like the way the dark looks and it suits the site but I was so pleased when I realised I could change it to white as I find it much easier to read!

I just tried the white for the first time since it became an option right now and ummm yuk

Dark is cooler too

On my laptop, I've always used dark. I used to use white on my cell but not anymore.
