Just because some people twisted the words to commit atrocities doesn't mean that you can discount the Book. ANYONE who has actually read it can look at it and see that what the Roman Catholics did in the Dark Ages isn't in line with what's written.

Period.

No you can dismiss the book just because it make outrageous claims about reality that cannot be substantiated...(triple period)

Would you consider suspending your unbelief for just a moment to consider the POSSIBILITY that the God of the Bible is real, and that the Bible is God's inspired Word?

What defense could you possibly have for yourself at judgement when the judge is the all seeing, and all knowing creator of the entire universe and sees that you've repeatedly denied and blasphemed His name and Word, when all he wanted was for you to believe in/on Him?

Honestly, if you've read the Book, I don't see how on earth you came to that conclusion..

In that hypothetical, the god would see that ive looked into the claims made for its existence and found there was insufficient evidence.

Well it has controlled millions, The Bible tells you to give money to priests or else (2nd book) has kept women in bondage for years, tells you If you don't accept Christianity you burn in hell even If you are Ghandi or a good person.
Tells us it is ok to have slaves.
Why do you think congregations are called flocks?
Why do you have to call God Lord?
So you blindly accept those who call themselves Lord, the ruling class.
Sure the Bible has some good moral stories in but they are not original most of the Bible are tales from older times before it...copies of other religions that are now dead.
Religion has made the biggest divisions in humanity and until religion is gone we will never reach for the stars or be at peace with each other.
People take the Bible and other dusty books as gospel truth when they are not.
No noahs ark.
No global flood.
No Abraham.

And to be honest I do think Jesus is a lie also, the Vatican is just the Roman empire refurnished.

Like I said I think it is spiritually lazy to just fall/be brainwashed into any religion when it is not from God but man.
The most scary thing is in the biggest strongest country in the world If you don't believe you can not get into government even when the founding fathers said keep religion out of government.
The most scary thing is the end of days BS we see in it, people with nuclear weapons who believe in the end of days may just push the button to justify their own religion.

We're talking about the book that features a god that's also its own son who sacrificed itself to itself to create a loophole for a law it made? the book with talking serpents, worldwide floods, people walking on water and zombies rising from the dead?...right?

I think she will be very pleased I have used my own mind and heart to get closer to her.
