Yes mate life's looking up. Takes some getting used to having freedom. I know it silly but i have always kept busy. I helped raise my niece of no blood relation since she was born. She is now at college, Then i had my son and did most of the work with him. So now its like....Wth do i do lol...

Strange...we were just talking about the step right before this.

Once my youngest go on to make his life out in the world, I hope to have a few good years of just the wife and I. I married her to be with her....ill finally get my chance.

To add ... My 17 yr old is now trying to assert his big ... surfy dude ... self. lol !

Army would work for him - fit; loves to push himself - camaraderie ( think surfing culture ).

Youngun' does have a handbrake GF though ...

He is making his own roads now.

The advice is in the past ...
How much of it stuck, as opposed to - what he does with it , and whether or not he comes back for advice ...

An Adult life is taking shape ...

He has loved to kick out - ever since !!

It would be a shame to see that passion and effortless physicallity go to seed .

Saving grace is that his "now" passion is surfing ( body-boarding ) and that is his waking pre-occupation - for now.
