Pop culture is used in social engineering. Just look at all the red white and blue patriotism expressed in the media when wars start. The beginning of Iraq comes to mind with it's blatant propaganda.

But above all else the entertainment industry is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side....... HST

Iv'e always believed that humans are nothing more than articulated game pieces.... controlled, manipulated by bored and lonely Gods. Illuminati ? perhaps...

I don't read as much into the music industry as a lot of people do. My opinion is that they know what sells and that's what they roll with.

I can't stand Rihanna. I used to like her, but lately, she's turned skanky and all of her songs are about sex. Sex sells though. But, I personally think she sounds like she's bored out of her mind in every single song she has. It's enough to put me to sleep. I don't listen to the radio much these days, but if I do happen to be listening and one of her songs comes on, I turn it off. She annoys the hell out of me. So, if there is anything subliminal in her music, it isn't affecting me, because her songs are an instant off switch! Rihanna song comes on, radio goes off. I think she felt she needed to step things up because her popularity was dropping, so she started coming out with the crap she "sings" now.

As for Gaga... who knows what's going on in that head of hers. I think she's all about shock factor, because she knows people love it and that's about all there is to it, but I've been wrong before.

I have read vigilantcitizen and while I do see how some of it could be accurate, a lot of it is highly speculative. What these people don't seem to realize is that by analyzing all these songs, they're drawing attention to said songs in major ways, and I think that is exactly what the artists want. Especially Gaga. Trying to figure out what is going on in her music (and especially videos) requires someone to often watch her videos many many times and I think that is exactly what she is trying to accomplish.

I remember 35 years ago, as a teen, parents, and other groups were playing our music backwards, and saying it had all sorts of demonic messages, and suggestive things.

I'm getting a deja vu with all this.

The music industry has always pushed their limits. That's what sells. It's just old fashioned rebellion, and it's always been around.

He could be!, But is just a lead in "doorman" if you like that gets people to accept the message in the name of love.

But MAYBE, it is just different ways for different people. Lets face it people who listed in R&B and hip hop are a little more cynical than those happy clappy types that listen to David Guetta.

Honestly I was a very well presented show. Lots of lights and lasers.

Nightmare for Epileptics though!!

After hearing that song on my teens Ipod last summer when "Teenage Dream" first came out I was thinking to myself no way would this become a single. It was weird and gave me a very nasty feeling in the pit of stomach. Ohhh imagine my suprise when I read this thread. Didn't know it was the new single. I was pretty sure when they wrote it they were watching some B porn. It isn't exactly a subliminal message to sing about being probed by a hot alien lover. Its just creepy and skinamax after dark had something on the other night that would have gone perfectly with this song, too. For catering to a younger audience many of KP's songs are not younger audience appropriate by a long shot. It's all about sexual and eyebrow raising things.

I have read a lot of lyrics lately that could be questionable in whether or not somethig subliminal is present. I try to censor my children's music however we would all have to be Amish to do a good enough job of that.

Agreed.

I have even seen preachers who are constantly knocking any kind of music except souther gospel play these songs in church just so people can hear the lyrics. WTF??? I don't go to church anymore, but music was always one thing that drove the religious insane like nothing else.

No publicity is bad publicity.

I'm really starting to wonder about the big picture. Aliens in Music, Movies, The UN?

That's why I think more and more recently that aliens are becoming mainstream. These days there are so many alien movies, and tv shows, and now songs. I really do feel like it is to get the population to accept them as a reality without coming right out and saying it. I could just be reading too much into signs, but that's just how I feel.

Other than that, those songs are trash. I miss the days when every song you heard wasn't about sex.

when Britney spears was at the height of her popularity, shortly after 9/11, she was on t.v. saying that she "trusts the president"

The star children of the music and entertainment industry are always used to influence the younger generation.

a la Justin Bieber.

about Katy Perry from wikipedia:
"Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), better known by her stage name Katy Perry, is an American pop musician. Born in Santa Barbara, California, and raised by Christian pastor parents, Perry grew up listening to only gospel music and sang in her local church as a child"
en.wikipedia.org...

they must have LOVED turning her over to "the dark side"... she was even a christian singer until she sold out.

You should have a watch into the series i presented in this thread. Explains very well all the symbolic and ritual meaning behind the videos (you just mentioned!), what explains why this crappy stuff is played...

I am sure many here on ATS, have already seen these. I saw a thread about it before.
Anyways, for those of you who haven't watched these, they are definitely interesting.
I am one who is skeptical of the whole Illuminati thing, but I couldn't stop watching these once I got started.

Well, I'm not a believer in the NWO hypothesis...

I don't listen to Guetta, but I do listen to other sub genres of dance music that aren't 'happy clappy'. The displays they have are insane, the picture in my avatar is of a club near mine, where coincidentally I saw David Guetta play (although this was 5 years ago, before fame got to his head)

For those who provided the Vigilant Citizen links, thanks. That's some pretty crazy stuff.... and it's pretty much exactly what I was seeing as far as content goes.

I normally would just conclude that it is a marketing gimmick but censorship is censorship and 90s bands caught holy hell for saying far less from the same people giving this airtime.

It just makes a person wonder....

I can't name one Lady Gaga song but I think yall are giving her way too much credit. She's not artistic, she's not smart. She has marketers telling her what sells. She's a created image. Say what you want about the people who made her image, personally I think they are just going off what sells right now.

Same with Kanye. The Conspiracy crowd must be growing when you have Jay-Z, Kanye, and Lady Gaga talking about it.

Maybe I'm wrong but I really think they're just doing what sells right now. But please don't be scared of Lady Gaga, don't let that crap get to you. It's embarrassingly bad and "trying-too-hard"ish in my opinion.

If we want to say the entertainment industry is involved in the conspiracy, the ONLY thing I see is that this is a long-term conditioning program. That is scary. I see it as a generational thing. Ease your way into each generation. When the current teeny-boppers are parents, then you turn it up a notch on their kids. It'll always be "Oh it's not that bad, remember when we did X?"

People saying "I remember when Elvis was new and everyone was freaking out about that" could be on the right track and don't even know it. Look where we've progressed. Now where is next? I just don't see how some worthless entertainer singing about a "new race" can have such an impact where we're gonna line up to welcome our alien overlords when the NWO reveals Project Bluebeam. I just can't tie that connection.

And just a quick aside, from reading that website I saw people saying they hated so-and-so. That's what they want. Let's not fall into that crap. If you pray, pray for these people. Be positive. I think I read it here, but I really liked it - "Who prays for the devil? Doesn't he need it the most?"

You say this ^^^

But then say this ^^^^

It can't be both. If this was the Mars Volta, 30 Seconds to Mars, or Hed P.E. I wouldn't have made a thread since they use alien motif, if you will.

This isn't a fear of Lady GaGa....

This being unable to shake the feeling that there is a concerted effort to crank this stuff out. The average person doesn't see all the symbolism in the videos/performances and the average person sure doesn't spend time reading about MKUltra experiments.

Like people have said, they are hacks. These hacks however, are taking direction from someone.

Maybe you are right, but even if 'that is all it is', how does that not prove a conspiracy? Why turn it up at all?

I can't either and I am not making that claim. All I am saying is that I can't help but come to the conclusion that someone has an agenda and they can pull some big strings to push it through.

Welcome to the loony bin, cafeteria is on the left. Seriously, the way into someones subconscious is to keep driving the idea in over and over, in subtle ways. Music would be a great delivery system. These songs are played on thousands of radio stations all over the world, millions of kids hear them. And, like we all know, the kids ARE the future. Influence their thinking and you get them going in the direction you want them to go. Maybe, if we're lucky, these are being used to get a part of the population used to the idea of aliens being real. The movie industry has been pumpin' out alien movies lately, usually about invasions. Looks like the music industry is gettin' on the bandwagon.
