Thanks, I realize theres a lot of disinfo or misinfo on that site. I will research the articles claims more. It seems that these articles are reliable though, as they are mostly excerpts from other sources.

We also have to remember that World War II was officially kicked off when "Polish Jewish Partisans" attacked a German radio station, later shown to be German soldiers performing a false flag event to kick this off.

Over 50,000 US troops in the area itching for a fight.

Just saying.

Holy DOOM & GLOOM, Batman!

Will you people calm down? This isn't WWIII.

Sure, it's bad news but let's not push it towards our little fantasies.

I doubt that.
most are just there putting their time in.
It's the leadership who wants the fight.

Japan wants America to do it's job and protect S. Korea and Japanese interests.
There has been a non-response by the Obama administration.
I'm sure this will embolden the whacks who run N. Korea.

When i was in the Army and stationed in Japan, it was a common understanding that our troops in Korea were there just to slow down an invasion by N. Korea (China, really) and that they were pretty much written off. We - those stationed in japan - would be the next bunch in after the troops in Korea were quickly wiped out.

China appear to "reign in" NK in certain circumstances,at least according to our Dear MSM.
If they actually do that,or clandestinley support their nuke program is a different matter IMO.

Exactly. The point is, wars are not linear events. How they start is not always linear either. At the moment, it may be 'fantasy' , but humans are a tad unpredictable. Truth is, nobody knows where this is going to go.

N Korea is certainly pushing the limits lately. Remember the S.Korean warship that sank back in March. N.Korea naturally denied any involvement in that attack and forty plus sailors died because of it. It would seem that today's action reveals far more about the true size of N Korea's stones.

What is it going to take for S Korea and its allies to open up a world of hurt on NK? China has strong ties to both nations and is currently pushing for a calm reaction from both sides. But, who would back NK if they decide to step this up another notch?

Tricky games right now and I don't like it one bit.

Their technology and skill is still considered pretty low. The expected practice range went overshot by accident that's all.

200+ times?

it's NOT LOW tech.. trust me.. everything is on a GPS now.. and what S.Korea military has is ALL US made .. and being a gun chief on a 105mm Howitzer.. the US Army went digital communications WAY back in 86' ~!!! so .. yea..NK might be using old style but their maps, i'm sure are very correct but as for their equipment, they 'might' still be using the pole style aiming..but even that is still pretty accurate since I toasted a tanker truck half filled filled with fuel with one single shot !!
)

yes.. so .. they just don't accidentally 'go off course' 200 times.. LOL ..

Why do you believe there is a non-response? are you privvy to what is going on in the white house at the moment? are you listening in on the direct talks the white house is having with SK? Do you think the administration is actually a reality TV show and if it is not public knowledge immediately on everything that is going on, then nothing is going on?

or are you simply complaining that the nukes aren't in the air already?

yep...I knew it...somehow this is all obama's fault

-sighs-

If the SK president seemed anything other than super pissed he would not be in his job long-I still say hes wise to let the dust settle before thinking about taking the world to the brink.

Hope he stays that way,I like seeing one sunset, not many then none.

I don't think the leadership wants the fight either.

There's very little if anything to gain from a war on the Korean peninsula.

Don't you know.....?

Lil Kim and North Korea are all part of the NWO.

They are on the CIA payroll.

Apparently a little more than 40 sailors and a couple of marines . . . It will be interesting to see if they acquiesce to the Northerner's 'request' to stop the exercises.

My guess is taht SK will go a wandering back to the barraks with their tails betwixt their legs because there doesn't seem to be any big rush to back them on this one.

Why should we do a damn thing? We have no money and most of our troops are tied up overseas.

Let China take care of the spoiled brats.

Did something happen in Korea? I just woke up and saw this thread, can someone post a synopsis of the 40+pages on this. ATS threading choice for forums is the worst.

www.npr.org...

Dear lord he looks like his father, as they say pass it on down

he kinda does look like the old man
somewhat

but what I find strange about that pic
is those men behind him. NK is so
anti-west but yet they have on what looks like
JC Penny suits and ties.
lmao

Where do you think JC Penny's suits are made?

thank you for that post.
i was waiting for somebody to say that

that statement goes back to my other thread
about the supposed missile video in LA and how
it was played up in the press by Bildebergers
to make Obama look incompetent. Wouldn't an
attack on SK by NK and no help from the US do
the exact same thing? Make Obama look incompetent?
So you have 2 international events in the news
and both trying to make Obama look incompetent.
Is this NOT an agenda ????

NKorea doing their dirty business once again. This time they've actually bombed SKorean territory... but nothing was destroyed/no one was killed... and for once SKorea responded...

But probably nothing will come out of it, like always.

I'm sure this is linked to those comments by Japan and SKorea saying that North Korea nuclear program is unacceptable and that they've breached every pledge they made concerning their nuclear program.

They are doing this as a provocation... childish... as always.

UPDATE 2:50 AM Eastern :

A few of the latest news...

- NKorea fires about 200 shells at island
- SKorea fires back with artillery
- About 70 houses on fire
- SKorea deploys F-16s
- China calls for calm
- According to CNN international, SKorea is trying to calm down tensions
- 14 South Korean soldiers hurt, 4 seriously + 4+ civilians injured
- Witness says residents fleeing S.Korean island by fishing boats - YTN
- 1 soldier confirmed dead so far
- SKorea at DEFCON 2
- SKorean presidential aides in bunker

Whole thing could be related to SKorean military exercise

How do we know FOR SURE, that these shells came from North Korea and not from elsewhere? Again, we have to take the media's word for it and the corrupt governments word. I believe they were from another source, just trying to get a conflict going to distract us once again. I for one, will not buy into this BS. For all we know, South Korean militants could have done it from the northern border along North Korea? We don't know fro sure and we may never know. Another Gulf of Tonkin affair.
