(Snip )well the people to blame would be the ones with guns in thier homes. What else is a criminal supposed to do. End Quote

That is the single most ...irrational thing I have ever heard. I choose to protect my home so it is a criminals right..no..forced responsibility to bring a gun too? Do you listen to yourself? It's law abiding peoples fault if a criminal brings a gun to rob him because he might have a gun in the house. Every time I say it it sounds more stupid (I really did try not to use the word stupid)

Man, it's your right to not own a gun. but to call people names then say something like that you really need to take the bag off your head and get some air.

I have always found gun owners to be the biggest cowards there are, take away thier guns and they got nothing. Guess people who can't be man or woman enough on thier own, you would need guns. Like i said just a thought. I don't own a gun and I feel perfectly safe. Keep your guns I say what ever empowers you.

Sorry Riggs... but this is not my concept of being a man...or a woman.

Men and women means to me facing difficulties daily in earning their money's...to purchase and manage/purchase their "private properties.
By this I mean going out daily..to work which involves risks...and when they have no choice...no one to rescue them from drudgery and danger in their occupations. When they have people back at home counting on them to do the right thing....when they make themselves disposable and expendable in difficult occupations to take care of their families and earn their properties.

Convenience store cashiers and managers, Farmers, Taxi cab drivers, electricians, Machinists, welders, bank tellers, machine operators, nurses and doctors, truck drivers, etc etc. Ordinary people taking risks in their lives for their money's and hence their families. This is my definition of manhood and womanhood.

Having a gun does not make one more of a man or woman. I cannot understand your reasoning here.

Thinking people who know what is RISK in their daily lives instinctively know the difference. They are not bamboozled by logic and reason like you are wont to promote. Their gun ownership has nothing to do with their manhood or womanhood.

As I stated...your position ,once thought through with this knowledge, does not even make good nonsense.

Thanks,
Orangetom

I sure would like to know were you live. At my last home (white middle class) the woman next door was beaten and raped and a neighbor down the street was convicted as a serial killer. All this in a state where guns are banned. Here in the boonies we have three drug dealers on a six mile dirt road. A neighbor was killed, another had his house shot up, most of us have had many thefts, and I woke up with a gun shoved in my face. No I do not like guns but un-arming the innocent just gives the criminals (govt include) an easier time. An old woman is no match for young thugs, I am not a coward I like many women am a realist.

Gladstone, Virginia: “I am sitting here at 1:00 am, and trying to figure out what has happened... Last Tuesday morning at 5:30am a Game Warden arrested my husband on a Class 2 Misdemeanor. That was followed by agents from the USDA swooping in (9 different vehicles) and beginning the slaughter of our hogs. It is almost one week later, and it is still going on. We have 24 hour armed surveillance...WE are being treated like drug dealers by the agents. The Game Wardens are stunned at the way this all happened and have said they have never seen anything like this. Even one of the USDA’s agents from Ohio said he has never witnessed anything like what is going on here..... This goes beyond “pigs on the Henshaw’s ranch”… this is what can and will happen....The USDA is STILL here on our property. After 3+ months -- Cindi Henshaw

Norman [Danny's lawyer] found, after a great deal of study, there was no law at all that pertained to this case, especially how it was carried out with no notice or warning to correct the problem, if in fact one existed. Basically the bottom line is Danny was convicted on laws that do not even exist.

I'm starting to believe that this guy lives in an area where crime is just something you see on TV. People like this don';t see a need to take measures to protect themselves their environment does not require it. Sadly it is people like this that become the targets of those that wish to separate the elitist from their personal belongings and in the process they will start telling the bad people that they are not a real man because sticking a gun in the home owners nose is just not the manly thing to do. This in turn gets the bad guy wanting o see just how much they can get away with. Maybe make a pass at the wife. Start smacking people around. I mean. What is this person going to do? he is one of those people that believe only a Socialist government should have all the means to go after the bad guy. Sadly it these people you see in the news paper hurt or worse and those like him will go after the gun the bad guy used rather than the bad guy themselves. And start making it harder for law abiding people to protect themselves.

In the real world many of us know that it is not going to be the cops that are going to keep you safe. It's going to be left to you. That is the way the founding fathers understood it and gave us the rights we need to be able to protect your families. It's not about empowering ones ego. It's about taking some personal responsibility. There will always be some that just don't get that and as Americans they are entitled to their opinion and should be able to voice it. Just as it is others to say that they are living on some fantasy world.

I agree with the "take away their guns and they have nothing" part of it.

When Malitia's and areas seeking incorporation are squashed by Big Brother, If the time comes, I wouldn't want to bring a knife to a gun fight.

However, I believe that if anyone draws a weapon not intending to use it They are the worst of the worst.

No need for over-reacting in disputes, even when violent...to a point.
Once in Frezno China Town at midnight when it was 6 on 1, I wished I was packing, but just then a cruiser happened by. I do have a Guardian Angel after all.

I agree to a point. There are people that will carry a gun around and make sure everyone knows it just because it is some sort of ego booster. Being a CCW holder in my state I do believe that one might be able to diffuse a situation by maybe pulling a shirt back to let a would be bad guy know that you have a weapon and if the situation escalates can and will be able to defend themselves. This point come up in a handgun forum I visit. Is it OK to pull out a weapon before your life is in eminent danger. I for one don't think it's a good idea in most situations because you might be escalating the situation yourself. That's not a good thing. But the idea of allowing a would be mugger etc know you are in possession of a weapon might just as easily diffuse the situation if dealt with properly. It's a slippery slope to say the least.

There are people that will just whip out a gun to say "Hey! I'm a bad a$$ so don't mess with me" These people are the type that can get people killed just because they need to feel important. Gun ownership is a big responsibility and should be dealt with knowing the importance of being as safe as you can be always.

With Palosi and the Democrats in Congress pushing hard for extreme licensing of weapons and ammo, this subject should be on the top of the ATS list for a long time. I just hope and pray that more folks read the initial post and realize just what is at stake here.

If they take our weapons or limit our ammo, they in effect, control our ability to take our country back, protect ourselves, our families and our property.

IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT ? TYRANNY ? DICTATORSHIP ?

Celente has been right more than he has been wrong on future predictions. He is predicting rioting and possibly civil war breaking out.

Just remember this ..... The POLICE are not here to Serve and Protect .... because they can't. They are there to ARREST and the let the courts and attorney's sort it out later.

Bravo!!!! The government will never be able to ban guns in this country. They can try but I don't believe it will ever happen. I own plenty of guns and the government will have to pry them from my cold dead hands before I ever give them up. If they do end up trying to ban all weapons, this country will be a big bullseye for all other countries to attack. And when this happens how will we defend ourselves. Our military is already stretched thin with fighting two wars! A good movie to watch in reference to why we as Americans have the right to own weapons is "Red Dawn". So if America wants to take my weapons away from me, then all I have to say is see you on the battlefield!!!

I have it on good authority that 80,000 AMERICAN troops returning from Iraq are being currently trained in Georgia, to suppress an AMERICAN uprising predicted.
Note; a .45 ignores flac jackets, and 'terminates' any engine block. I can't afford one, yet, but want to obtain. Also might be useful to obtain the British NEMP device that 'fries' an internal combustion engines' electrical system. Anyone know where I can get one?
