Did read it was a DNS f-up which wouldn't be a shock to anyone who has any experience in IT as you attach a name to a phone number basically for those who don't know as it's just a way to say connect to something in a more human way.

There probably is multiple layers of DNS and routing tables and all sorts of good stuff hiding under the hood along with enough bodge to last a lifetime.

Doesn't take much effort or stupidity to make a change that suddenly causes enough damage to amaze people, once did recommend people with thinner fingers as there's less chance of them making mistakes when typing.

Ahhh! So that's why some of my programs don't function correctly. My fingers are too thick! I've never had any complaints about that before, so it's good to finally know the reason.

It's generally not in programs as you have more time to reflect compared to some nub with console level access to a core router .
