Here's some good explanations of Due Process. . . .

due process

Introduction

The Constitution states only one command twice. The Fifth Amendment says to the federal government that no one shall be "deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law." The Fourteenth Amendment, ratified in 1868, uses the same eleven words, called the Due Process Clause, to describe a legal obligation of all states. These words have as their central promise an assurance that all levels of American government must operate within the law ("legality") and provide fair procedures. Most of this article concerns that promise. We should briefly note, however, three other uses that these words have had in American constitutional law.

. . . . . . . . . .

Outside possibility: The CO Supreme Court itself violated The 14th by using The 14th against a single person. 😃

Does anyone know what insurrection "definition" was used or cited in the CO case and CO Supreme Court Ruling?

Note: The 14th Amendment does not define what "insurrection" is (or was "at the time" the 14th was written). 😃

It is mentioned.....

its the simplest out for them, barely touches states rights, makes the right choice and corrects this idiotic route forward by the democrats that hate letting the voter decide.

The CO Supreme Court may have violated equal protection too.🤫

Are you saying Trump was the only insurrectionist that day? Just because you think he said some words?

I don't think this is about the words that Trump uttered to the crowd that day, or on social media, but those words do prove Trump's involvement and culpability in a seditious conspiracy, in my opinion.

There was a conspiracy that included more people than just Trump. Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, Gen Mike Flynn, John Eastman, just to name a few.

But you guys already know that, and my guess is that you are hoping the rest of us have selective amnesia, too.

I can't say how SCOTUS is going to rule on this case. My gut tells me they'll wimp out and punt to the best of their ability. We just have to wait and see.

Lets say you're right.

Then how was the vote wrapped up on the 6th and Biden in office on the 20th?

The entire assertion is laughable not only on its face but legally as well.

Actually The CO case did cite many hearsay points from Trump SM posts. That (court error) may also be scrutinized by SCOTUS. 😁

They needed Mike Pence. He was key to their plan. Pence wouldn't cooperate, so, their plan failed.

Then why have Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, Gen Mike Flynn, John Eastman all not been charged with the Insurrection Act?

It is like the NY AG case with Trump. They want to ban him for life but his sons for 5 years each? Why? Why the difference?

Because these cases are ALL about trying keep Donald J Trump from winning the 2024 election. They are afraid. They know what is coming.

If we have an election it will be a miracle.

What did they want pence to do?

(to send the votes back to the states)

Sounds like they were exploring every legal option.......

Now lets compare that to say...The Civil War......

Yall are too funny.

Trump pardoned all of them except Eastman, who is under indictment for his role in Jan 6th, Goergia.

Eastman was charged on nine counts:
Violation of Georgia’s RICO Act
Solicitation of violation of oath by public officer
Conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer
2 counts of conspiracy to commit forgery in the first degree
2 counts of conspiracy to commit false statements and writings
Conspiracy to commit filing false documents

If the Supreme Court rules for Colorado, then red states will take Biden off the ballots and blue states will take Trump off the ballots.

Chaos.

If the Supreme Court rules in favor of Trump, then Biden will use that as an excuse to pack the court, making sure that chaos ensues.

What they are deciding is whether or not a President has immunity while President.

Nope... nothing to do with the Colorado case.

taking away any possibility Trump would succeed in stalling the count,

You are confused as usual.

Trump didn't and wasn't stalling anything, it was challenges being filed by Members of Congress per their Constitutionally delegated authority and duty.

As has been done many many times, usually by demorats.

He may try, but thankfully that takes a super majority of the Senate and I don't see that happening.
