to catch a bullet it'd need to be upwards of 3000 frames per second*, not sure what these would need to catch in the odd frame.. wonder how far in terms of distance a missile/bomb can travel between the normal frames in good light.

I looked up what speed I'd need to capture a non blurred bullet with my mirrorless and it looks to be 1/16,000th of a second, a lucky single frame capture at normal shutter speeds would be very blurred, so to give a little blur and denote direction and motion a speed of 1,8,000th is recommended

Im not Pychic (That I know of) but I do tend to just get feelings and most of the time they come to fruition. That being said when this war started and recalling other odd things like what happened in Maui, a lot of odd fires in America, train derailments and the fact a # ton of fighter age males are walking across the US border I have a feeling something huge is coming. This EBS alert recently. Been hearing a CT about UN soldiers with debit/cards being sent all throughout the US.

I feel within the next 2 months #s about to get real.

I would not want to live is a big city especially one run by a Democrat.

All it would take is one dirty bomb or bio chemical attack and America goes into lock down and it will be one worse then Covid.

If bomb drop wouldn't it show up in a frame? If a missile, then wouldn’t we see something of the rocket - flame/exhaust - on approach?

Actually I'm surprised that Gaza city didn't disappear under a mushroom cloud. Still might.

taking photos at air shows yes its possible to catch something, but as frame rate of video is slower than photos i opt for photos over video. a too fast shutter speed for video and you lose the motion blur the eye needs, so looking at my books the rule of thumb is 1:48th for std video which won't catch much if anything as it'll be lost in the blur.

For birds in flight I shoot 4k or 8k photo videos, to allow sharp individual frame extraction, I use 1:500th+ and 60 frames a second, but as video, sharp frames can look odd.

given the prevalence of such cameras outside of the pro circles today, I expect we'll start seeing more high quality video/photos especially in the 4k and 8k range.

I give up. I'm not going to kill or save anybody over there with my opinion.

I find myself caring for kinda fake reasons. Like having 1/32 American Indian ancestry to validate working at a casino. Or at least it feels that way.

The reason for that came via my long lost ancestry. 23 and me revealed below Broadly Southern European, English/Irish, Sardinian, and Iberian, I am 4.6% Ashkenazi Jewish. (Which I understand is a lot of people with Iberian, Southern, or Eastern European ancestry). Which is funny, because my Mom called them 'gypsy ancestors', and I never really thought about what she meant by that.

No, not necessarily most use propulsion to get within glide range and hit targets gliding and adjusting IIRC, hopefully Zaphod will appear and teach us all...

This was not a random terror bombing. This was not a one off encounter. They strategically hit soft targets, have killed close to 1000 people and have hostages.

And now there are Jews being born in the illegal settlements in the West Bank. Facts on the ground. One State Solution is the only option left. Will it include full citizenship rights for Palestinians, or will Palestinians slowly die out to attrition?

Palestinians are the "inconveniently existing people" in the equation when it comes to Jewish Israeli Nationalism, and U.S. Evangelical Dispensationalists.

Israel would have to submit Hamas (and their popular sentiment) to the one state solution. Arabs in that area and mostly truly hate Jews. So, I'm not seeing that. They'd need an ideologically cleansing final solution to pull that off. Submit or expel, that wouldn't sit right.

But Hamas controls Gaza. They can call themselves Palastinian like every Chinatown can call themselves not Triad.

It's effectively like Isis (terrorist) controlled territory and it shields itself with the people it's liberating. They use the status of the West Bank as a refuge. They don't really care about their own, just their victim cards.

Gaza is better off fully under Israeli control. Of any Palastinian territory. Like we justified administering Iraq of Afghanistan. Strip them of their autonomy entirely and blame it on Hamas. "We are doing this because you allowed terror to speak for you".

And maybe that leads to a greater war.

The Friends of Israel vs. Friends of Iran. They are on record (Especially Iran) with the position Israel shouldn't exist and should be taken off the map. It needs to be confronted and settled eventually.

I find it hard to hate on Iran. Had an Iranian roommate in college, saluted Iranian officers while in Basic. Pretty plum deal to get military training in my specialty for four years then go to Iran and get four times the pay as a trainer. I didn't get to avail myself of that deal due to that revolution in 1979.

Iran originally (1947) was for a one state Palestine. Voted down though. They predicted partition would lead to generations of conflict.

I guess I'll have to get used to the idea that Iran now isn't the Iran of the 70s.

Oh well, my taxes paid for weapons that will now be killing Palestinians whether I like it or not. And possibly killing Iranians. Life in this World!

Im always suspicious of news when it involves violence and war. That said, too soon. We need to let more information come out first.
