Never heard of the Wests response, like MAD?

For sure OC and that's the way we are heading. For all the criticism of Russia's military it only takes 1 of those 6,200 nukes to do their job and we are all in the muck. It's crazy, totally crazy!

So why are putin and so many russia supporters threatening to do use those nukes?

Cuz "crazy, totally crazy" = insane.

Final option maybe? If you are struggling and by the look of things Russia's army is struggling then why not (from their perspective) move to plan B

Cuz it could wreck human life for centuries or more?

Cuz that's clearly insane.

For sure it is insane and by entering the Bear's domain one might expect a little wreckage......... RIGHT ?

Was it empty?

Where are the xray and sensor tunnels they've shown being used in the past?

Great find though!

Why not? Throwing LOADS of cookie bars at western Slavs wasn't enough? It's the same state MW and you can't keep divide and rule going on forever

The level of inspection looks pretty cursory and not much more. Trucks here are subjected to greater scrutiny and we aren't at war with our neighbour only a couple 100 km away. Looks like the guy went to the driver, checked whatever he checked, we can't see driver side but I assume its log, manifest sorta thing, checked the back, was happy about what he saw and sent him on his way.

The other thing that caught my eye is it appears these inspections are happening right on the roadway. You can see the cars moving to the right to get around the trucks apparently blocking the lanes. The truck in question is in the lane I assume is used to turn into the rest area/inspection area at the start of the bridge.

How heavy are 50 fully loaded fuel cars?

(since they would be the opposing force for a bomb under the train)

Nonsense. The train and the bridge it sat on would be obliterated.

The explosion originates from the train above. This was either an accident or sabotage of the train.

So, explain why the train is still intact. Still sitting on the tracks and zero damage is done to the train bridge other than fire damage.

You do know the force involved to down that road bridge?.

Have a look at the aftermath pictures, particularly of the train next to the damaged road. You will see that the first flaming tank wagon is adjacent to the first section of lifted road, then there are two or so wagons intact with undamaged road, and then two or three flaming tank wagons adjacent to significant road damage.

The road damaged and lifted is nearest the flaming train tank cars.

If you look at the damaged road bridge it has been removed from its supports by pressure, not from explosives.

Agreed.

Something looks off, either they have zero modern security measures, or this was just the first step.

Both of our land borders are FAR more secure than that, and we aren't at war with either country.

I'm not sure we'll know what really happened until after the war on this one.

Also, look at where the fallout comes from - all the sparks and flaming debris. It's coming from above from the right and flowing with wind to the left. If the debris was caused by an explosion on the centre road section it would start falling way off to the left because of the prevailing wind, which looks quite strong from the sea conditions.

So would a truck bomb blast large enough to put a half dozen road spans in the water.

Or at least would have shredded the sheet metal covering on the side of the rail bridge.

Ukrainians hitting civilian infrastructure, what a surprise.

Why give up the habit of the past 8 years.

Terrorist scum.

Bridges are like textbook military targets, don’t you know what a pontoon brigade is?

Ever head of a bridge to far?

Russia used that bridge to feed its invasion

It’s legit snoopy, deal with it Because it’s gonna get hit again lolz

Within two weeks for sure because Ukraine bringing the noise again, melitipol ? Metilpol ? Spelling unsure

SOON

It wasn't a truck bomb. Something hit it from underneath. Possibly a planted device or an aquatic drone bomb.

I am beginning to think that there was a bomb planted on the train. Best I can tell from the videos that is where the blast seems to come from.

Yeah, I've seen the pics and videos. Are you suggesting a bomb so big that it can lift thousands of tons of reinforced concrete and toss it into the sea but can't even lift one train wagon weighing what, 20 tons? from its tracks.

I really would like to hear the physics involved in that scenario.

100 tons per car x 50 cars (estimate) = 5000 tons

+ extremely heavy railroad bridge

vs

~50 tons per span of precast roadway

The weight of pre-stressed concrete beams in precast monolithic spans of bridges and overpasses varies from 17.75 m to 33.2 m, for example, at a length of 21 m weight of the beam will be 17.75 m, at length of 24 m weight of the beam is 20,2 tons, at a length of 33 m beam weight is 33.2 tons

Tare Weight - 80,000 lbs. Load Limit - 206,000 lbs

Ryan McBeth is working on the physics and calculations based on bent steel in videos, and he's actually qualified to do so, so we should get a rough answer from that angle tomorrow.

let's see if this will work. Twitter users only.

Pause the video then move the slider back and forth. Looks like a possible bow wave or shock wave. Something fishy.

Also, Do the same with this one. The Lorry is still intact when the flash of the explosion happens.
Flash, Lorry intact.

The UK's " Special Boat Service ", the naval equivalent of The SAS have been training Ukrainian military personal.

That part in particular show conclusivly that it was not the truck that blew up, it just happened to be right by the spot. # luck for the driver.
