I'm not convinced this was a truck bomb.
Looks more like it came from under the bridge...
Is there another road below?

Or a bomb attached to the underside of the train?

It's being reported as a suicide bombing carried out by the SSU. We can now add terrorism to the list of things Ukraine doesn't do...

I hope they enjoy their front row tickets to nuclear armageddon...

One has to wonder if it was a suicide bombing. Then things must not be going so well for Ukraine. Considering all we have heard for 10 months now is how well Ukraine is doing yet they have lost 20% of their territory to the Russians. That doesn't sound like winning...

Russia started calling it a suicide attack before the fires were extinguished, they just made it up again.

The train and the bridge it sat on would be in space given the force of the explosion was enough to shift thousands of tons of concrete and steel below it into the sea.

Something hit that car bridge from below.

Missiles frequently cause the same kind of damage, or it could have been a drone boat or bomb under the train.

But russia just automatically blamed it on a massive truck bomb that somehow made it past the russian xray and explosives sensors, before anyone had even reached the scene.

In other words, russia just made it up again.

Cutting more supply lines just adds to the list of reasons for Putin to use tactical nukes and if that happens, all bets are off.

Somebody is playing a very dangerous game.

No good can come of provoking Russia with its 6,200 nukes................. Many of them 1,000 times the power of Hiroshima

'Provoking'?

That's a bridge built on Ukrainian territory by russian invaders, so who exactly is doing the 'provoking' again?

If you watch the other video it seems the explosion was on the rail section , the only trucks on the bridge at the time were ahead and before the explosion which seems to be at the side of the highway.

They saying a the train was rigged with explosives on a fuel car. This means it was rigged deep in Russia, so just who rigged it no one knows just now.

I'm no Ruskie fanboy............. From Moscow's perspective that bridge was built on USSR / Russian Empire territory taken back from invaders from the 'West.'

Assuming they still work, those things take constant upkeep to be in working order.

We all assumed putin was cracking the whip to keep his military in fighting shape if his conventional forces are any indication odds are high the corruption hit his ICBM branch as well.

It definitely wasn't a truck bomb.

When you look at the video, from the left there is a two-lane road going toward Russia, another two-lane road going to Crimea, and several dozen metres above, a two-lane rail line. It is the left two-lane road section that has collapsed. The trucks were on the two-lane section to Crimea, which remains in use right now. The flames of the explosion spread over both road sections from the right (the train tracks) to the left and envelops the roads below. The occupants of the truck and car beside it died.

If the explosion originated from below the bridge, the roadways would have shielded the vehicles on the centre section - or it would have lifted the road sections off their supports (they are relatively loosely fitted to allow for expansion, which is why the left roadways fell off). If the explosion originated from the truck the centre road section would be destroyed. It is relatively undamaged.

The source is definitely from the right and above, not in the centre at road level or below. The explosion originates from the train above. This was either an accident or sabotage of the train.

For sure OC and that's the way we are heading. For all the criticism of Russia's military it only takes 1 of those 6,200 nukes to do their job and we are all in the muck. It's crazy, totally crazy!

So why are putin and so many russia supporters threatening to do use those nukes?

Cuz "crazy, totally crazy" = insane.

So, explain why the train is still intact. Still sitting on the tracks and zero damage is done to the train bridge other than fire damage.

You do know the force involved to down that road bridge?.

How heavy are 50 fully loaded fuel cars?

(since they would be the opposing force for a bomb under the train)

Final option maybe? If you are struggling and by the look of things Russia's army is struggling then why not (from their perspective) move to plan B

Cuz it could wreck human life for centuries or more?

Cuz that's clearly insane.

This is apparently the truck that is claimed was used to blow the bridge. It passed the Inspection on the bridge by the security troops posted there. I found it on Telegram but it's easier to link YT vids.

So there was nothing that triggered them to stop the truck from crossing. I don't know the level of inspection but it doesn't appear to be very thorough, judging by the vid. The guy just pokes his head in and lets him go.

ETA: TBH, I have no idea if this is the same night, the same truck or even the same month. But the claim being made on Russian Telegram channels is this is the truck.
