not empty. they claimed from the beginning 137 to 7 bars so something normalized but they didn't disclose in kgh cfh or ppi I don't know how they are gauging pressure because they didn't disclose the non used lines pressure material nor did anyone disclose the operator on duty or how they knew the random drop. Not enough information

Agreed, we know next to nothing at this point.

By 'empty', I just meant not spewing gas so someone can get photos.

Rapid drop like that the pipe and not the shroud would be twisted metal. Strange the information we get is so poopy and we end up with the MSM ministry trying to explain the troof with no facts or pictures. I am still calling incompetence, # it because deliberately done doing would be apparent from minute one minus 10 seconds. Welcome to the mole hill. I am the beer guy around here so
double or nothing

I'm assuming the concrete part of the shroud was obliterated for miles, but 1.6" of X70 steel should leave a lot of simple evidence as to what happened.

Even the twisting should indicate whether an external explosion occured, and grain patterns should indicate the force of the event.

Hoping anyway.

So good news, 1 of the pipelines out of the 4 is still operational

That means the Ukrainian war might end this winter, in exchange for gas which is a lot for Europe as it's not just heating.

They will most likely end weapon deliveries to Ukraine, so we can finally hope for the end of this Special Operation...

I wonder if they will ever actually find out who dunnit? There will be accusations out the wazoo for decades but I don’t think we will ever know for sure

There may never be a way to prove who did it but you have to take one thing into consideration.

Why country stands to financially benefit from selling gas to europe?

This is not about selling gas anymore; it's about forcing countries to make tough decisions.

Who is it that's forcing countries to make tough decisions and what right do they have to do that?

Destroying pipelines isn't really allowing anyone to make decisions. It seems more like someone is forcing actions.

Decision precedes actions. The incident involving the pipelines have ensured that critical decisions, and ultimately actions, will be made sooner than later.

Russia is the most likely the perpetrator. Threatens the EU nations on their Ukrainian stance, while attempting to create a semi-legitimate reason why the entire gas supply has been cut off. Unfortunately, looks like old Vlad used a bit too much explosive.

Someone pumping gas down the line to the break ?

Or maybe a block in the line changed position and allowed trapped gas to escape. That page about hydrate plugs and such comes to mind.

This quote seems apt:

Trust me, if there’s a hydrate plug, there’s more than one. With both pipes having no movement for months, if not a year, there were a metric butt-ton of hydrate plugs, slurry, and rime in both pipelines.

Cheers

If one pipe from 4 did not break, is it possible that there was explosives in the pipe , but it did not detonate ? That would be jackpot for investigators to find out whodunnit .

Does that 'one country' have the infrastructure to 'sell more gas to Europe'?

Then why keep making stuff up?

This is my first post, but I've lurked here for years.

I thought this article was very interesting. I haven't seen this info elsewhere.

I don't know how reliable monkeywerx is but his blog post has some nice graphics.
The post says there's data showing a US P8 aircraft doing some suspicious maneuvers around Nord Stream 2.

I don't want to plagerize his site, especially since it's a really great blog post. He has some graphics that show the aircraft flight path and other details about refueling and avoiding UK air space.

Here's a relevant summary snip:

What that means: the flight path and altitude of the P8 in question are indeed capable of conducting a “bomb run” on the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline. Now let’s look at the flight specifics. Note the last flight path just before exiting the area runs right along the pipeline in which they could have released the ordinance and continued their climb out, thus exiting the area and returning to the United States. Also, note the little hump just before the climb out (red arrow). That is consistent with a weapons release. Pitch down, increased AoA, weapon release, little bubble up, then a climb out (the blue line is the inbound leg of the same flight). You may also not the flight path. It circles over the area first, then flies downrange and starts the initial bomb run, then it does a quick readjustment on a final bomb run, releases, and exits immediately.
