Dianne Feinstein: "All vets are mentally ill in some way and government should prevent them from owning firearms."
Yep, - she really said it on Thursday in a meeting in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee...

I'm pretty certain that it doesn't matter, but not only is this news over a year old, Feinstein didn't say what is quoted.

Feinstein:
The problem with expanding this is that, you know, with the advent of PTSD, which I think is a new phenomenon as a product of the Iraq War, it’s not clear how the seller or transferrer of a firearm covered by this bill would verify that an individual was a member, or a veteran, and that there was no impairment of that individual with respect to having a weapon like this. So, you know, I would be happy to sit down with you again and see if we could work something out but I think we have to — if you’re going to do this, find a way that veterans who are incapacitated for one reason or another mentally don’t have access to this kind of weapon.
Another rendition since the above quote is from Snopes and would probably be automatically suspect thereby:
the problem with expanding this is that you know with the advent of PTSD, uhh, which i think is a new phenomenon as a product of the iraq war, umm, it's not clear how the seller or transferer of a firearm covered by this bill would verify that an individual was a member, or a vetran, and um that there was no impairment of that individual with respect to having a weapon like this. so you know i would be happy to sit down with you again and see if we could work something out but um, i think we have to -- if you're going to do this, find a way that veterans who are incapacitated for one reason or another mentally, uh, dont have access to this kind of weapon.
The second quote is from the Georgia Outdoor News Forum - March 7, 2013. This is from my home state and I can tell you, none of these ol' boys support anything but gun rights.
This was picked up and reverberated through the right-wing echo chamber at the time (3/7/2013) and again recently (1/29/2014).
I mention "right-wing echo chamber" because of these search results: Google - Last 30 days - Faux Feinstein quote
Anyone interested in denying ignorance would find this level of misrepresentation and misquoting more than a bit disturbing I would think.

I believe your title is a bit misleading.
That's ONE democrat.
It doesn't suggest that ALL democrats are waiting to take guns way from people.
That would be like saying that ALL republicans believe in 'legitimate rape' just because Todd Akin said it.

Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:
a. Creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
b. Satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
c. Augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
d. Rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.
"The roots of liberalism - and its associated madness - can be clearly identified by understanding how children develop from infancy to adulthood and how distorted development produces the irrational beliefs of the liberal mind," he says. "When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious."

As a veteran. A combat veteran. With over 150 firefights under my belt. this. this infuriates me to the extent that i have to type very slowly. and think of what im attempting to convey. i cant. if i keep typing i will destroy T&C and surely earn a ban. Diane Feinstein is an evil, lying, manipulative, Fascist sow. it should be law, that in order to have any say in anything against anyone who went to war for their country, That this person should have undeniable proof of having been to war AND been in combat for at the very least 9 months. something. anything. let them experience firsthand day in and out what so many of my brothers and sisters have. Then and only then should their voice be considered

Seriously...
Who gave him the credential, let alone advertising space, for the esteemed dr. to become established authority of an unqualified opinion on an unstudied topic that can't even be qualified?
Liberalism
An ideology based on beliefs of economic and personal freedom, and the fact that social inequalities are a part of nature. (Also libertarianism to the American readers.)
A definition later to be distorted by Americans, who mainly associate "liberalism" with being left-wing on the political scale, disregarding the original and correct sense of the word.
Each man is the architect of his own fortune.
Liberals
May be a weak reference... But easily solid enough to counteract to Dr. Rossiter. A person may be smart. People can be stupid. This guy + people?
