Why not consider the reflection on the wall and metal to be coming from the light source the spirit is giving off?
Could work both ways.

For those who are saying the object is "emitting its own light" I ask, why are there shadows cast in the lower frame constant with the angle of the light source, and consistent with the angle of reflection off the wall, yet there are no such bright spots on the ceiling, if the object in question was emitting its own light then we would expect to see even shadows throughout the room, light on the ceiling, and the flares coming off the objects in the bottom of the frame (stacks of records?) would appear towards the camera, not perpendicular as they are in the image also those records are likely covered in a high gloss finish, making them reflective at every angle even if only slightly.

I did consider it, I just found multiple and consistent reasons that would say, it is not the case. I have no vested interest in convincing you of anything I'm simply pointing out that the all the physical evidence we see in the photo lends its self to being a combination of external light source and over exposed CCD.

I didn't look at the photo with the idea that is was impossible to be anything unknown or to try and make all the "ghostie lovers" feel dumb, it caught my attention because it did indeed look other worldly, and it was a clear photo with a pretty oddly shaped exposure that caught my attention as abnormal. The issue is when you stop seeing what you want to see, and look at what is actually there, the details in the photo are consistent with a less than super natural explanation.

I accept logical explanations when they are presented. I'm not a "ghostie lover", as you said.
I admit, It seems you could be correct, in this case.

But, it still looks like a ghost to me.

All righty, when living in a house I later found out had a suicide in it there were many paranormal events. Objects being moved and broken, dogs freaking out and growling at nothing, a feeling of weirdness, knocks and thumps, vivid, recurring dreams were I spoke to some man but couldn't remember the details, little blurry things that ran around the rooms but you could only spot with peripheral vision and an odd many-week-long instance of acting in a strange manner almost as if some other intelligence was influencing me.

Then one evening my friends and I (5 of us) were in the living room watching a movie and saw moving, flickering blue, yellow and orange light erupt from the adjoining kitchen.

We rushed in ( I thought there was a fire) ... but we all saw a scintillating, multi colored blob of light moving around the center of the kitchen (like the photo in the OP) and then "settle" into a pillar, or pedestal shape with an oval top that slowly sank/melted into the floor... leaving only darkness and stunned witnesses.

I tried everything to explain it... weather, wiring... but barring some ball lightening showing up in my kitchen on a clear day, coupled with the fact it was oblong while floating in the air and then settled into that pedestal shape, I was, and am, at a loss explaining it in any other way but what's thought of as "paranormal," though I'm open to it being somehow 'mundane."

I'm not sure at all, I just uploaded the crazy picture the camera sent us when the motion detector went off.

Can you not make the photo larger?

Cause this is the EXACT photo that was sent to us by the camera. I'm sure I could make it bigger with photoshop, but then it wouldn't be tampering with it. If you want to do this yourself however, feel free!

That does not look like any ghost or spirit I've ever see in photos, on film or even a rendition, kind of like the torch guy in fantastic 4 the movie, a flamey super hero shape, & solid?
For now? I'm calling hoax...........

It might not be a ghost, but I can 1000% assure you that this photo has not been tampered with or edited in any way shape or form. Whatever it is, it isn't something we've cooked up for attention, it is, whatever it is, be that a trick of the light, a glitch or that guy from fantastic 4.

Good evasive answers. Is it possible someone couldn't have thought they were playing a prank for the Video Camera? Was there only 1 video camera?
Could there have been a Helicopter shining in?
Are you able to post the film from just before, during & after?
I say not a ghost from it's solidity, but it could be something supernatural, though I'd be reluctant to call, " It's an Alien!" lol!

I only wanted more facts & and more evidence, not accuse you of anything Hon, I study & work on this type of thing with a few others & only thought we may come up with something, or at least find out if ppl we know of with similar description but no pics or anything may find it to be like what they saw. I S&F ed your post, I just don't feel right in calling the Entity a, " Ghost. " Cool with that? Please be cool with that....

i think the important word here is "motion", it's a "motion sensor". and like the OP said if he's on a busy road he would have been getting these every 5 seconds. car lights this is not.

great pic. whatever this thing was it had enough presence to trip the sensor for being in motion. a physical enough presence at least. very interesting.

i don't think this is going to be the last picture you get from that motion sensor in that place....

looking forward to any developments...

the only problem with it being a car (my first thought too) is that it's on a VERY busy high street and through road in the city.

We should be getting these every 3 seconds if its cars!

It's also on the third floor of the building...

I was going to say it looked like a head light from a car too, so I was going to ask what level this was on because I know you said it was on a busy street so I was thinking somebody pulled into the parking lot to turn around or something. But yeah if it's on the third floor, I am at a loss.
