There are many in the ufo community who do believe that that did already actually happen, in Wash. D.C. around 1952, when there was a big uptick in sightings of ufo's both across the country and in Washington D.C.

My take is that the universe is teeming with life....
Everywhere life can exist .....it does.....
The strange and wonderful encounters that do happen with other inhabitants ...be 1,2,3,or the 4th kind...
Are only so because we have not the expanded paradigm to comprehend fully....
Their ships come in many different configurations because they are many and various beings...
Air breathers, water breathers, non breathers for all I can say....

The variation in technologies represents the variations in the species and technology of the beings.
Certainly a race of aquatic dolphins wouldn't build a ship that was designed for monkeys....
Available resources, and technology dictate some of these things tyrannically......
Other options exist for creating the means to traverse space than ours surely...
Dimensional travel, parallel universes,even a negative universe (created of antimatter) may mirror our own existence perhaps...

The big black deltas are something that is not new...but certainly an increasingly seen phenomena...(My brother saw one)
Perhaps the ships of the others are a cross section of time.....
Some may be millennia old, and others, sent out later have passed them and arrived before their slower predecessors?
Surely well experience something similar when we attain FTL travel.....catching up to older launches and passing by them to move out into the universe...
Time becomes a factor when technologies reach that break point perhaps....

Older ships arrive to find colonies of their people already where they were sent to explore...
The idea of micro and macro cosms is also fascinating....ships from nano worlds may be thousands of nanomiles long but manifest as 6 inch long models here....
A tiny ship with beings landed in Provence france years ago...with traces....

At this point I begin to get dizzy thinking about the possibilities for so many different sightings of strange UFOs...
Maybe even ships exist that are grown from vats and are alive....steered by thoughts of the aliens who pilot them....as they pair up with their ships like a marriage to travel the distances....maybe they are born with a particular grown "ship" and are paired for life...

To get everyone on board to believe in the possibility of Alien visitation, a saucer would have to land on the White House lawn. Even than, some hard skeptics would say it wasn't real and the UFO was a prop made for an upcoming movie. So maybe they would have to land two space ships too get the die-hard skeptics to accept it.

I see this expressed a lot.

I think an "alien" ship landing on the White House lawn, and presenting bona fide proof of their extra-terrestrial origins (because you know that a lot of aliens are big liars) verified by independent labs would probably get most people to believe that they're the real deal.

But that hasn't happened yet. The real question in my mind is, what makes people so desperate that they gladly settle for substandard proof?

That's a very great point and question. I thank you for it. I've mentioned before, about people being emotionally and other ways,
-invested- in a certain 'answer', instead of being patient and more openminded.

Good thread, these are very interesting and important questions.

If they are all visiting us then why?

Perhaps to study us? Would we not do the same if the alleged conditions were opposite?

Physicists, Scientist and Mathematicians tell us that the idea of Alien civilizations are a very real possibility and that they may even be much older or more advanced in science and technology than we are...So, why is it so hard for some to believe that they may be in fact visiting/studying us?

There isn't any proof. Evidence, in my opinion yes, but no proof. I think it's hard for some to imagine why we would not have proof of their presence after all these years of alleged observation/visitation. If they've really been visiting us for so long, how come we have only a handful of good pictures, how come physical evidence is so rare? Why wouldn't there be proof?

My analytical minds says different alien species visiting due to curiosity and because they can. When I try to think of other explanations I keep coming back to them being us - far in the future - evolved of course. "We" visit us because we can. We have evidence that our appearance has changed over time - and varies between cultures. We have evidence that we can speed knowledge up exponentially (last 100 years compared to last 2 million). Whose to say they aren't the future you and me?

If so - what causes the mutations? The sun dying out? What causes the returning to visit our former selves? Perhaps to change history? It's truly mind boggling whether they are separate from self or somehow our future selves with the ability to pop into our world.

Yeah, I buy into aliens, but do I believe they would be more advanced than us?

Well actually no, I believe they are either on par technologicallly, or perhaps less advanced than we are.

If you think about it, despite our ego's this is one area we always tend to assume that we are inferior galactically speaking, I guess we do this in the hope we could discover more, or be discovered by more advanced means, so that in turn we may accellerate our own growth.

Would be lovely if there were more advanced civillisations out there, but for the moment my instinct says it's unlikely.

Really hope to be proved wrong though

I don't post much in the alien threads.

But a dirty little secret? I read them all the time.

I've never seen a UFO. I've never met an alien. (I don't count my in-laws) But I am a true believer. I think the cosmos is teeming with life.

I think our government (all governments) know about it. I think there is a huge cover-up.

I think aliens are here. I think there are a multitude of alien species here. They have always been here.

We just call them gods, demi-gods, The Fae, werewolves, vampires, demons, imps, devils, etc.

My 2 cents.

Perhaps Earth is "plan b or c" for some other civilization, should something go wrong on the home planet and as such, we're being watched and/or shielded - if we are isolated in our little part of the galaxy then letting the word out that we're here might not be beneficial should they/it/them need to fall back to Earth...

I know from- experience-, that this is very much a fact. And Ufos are real, I have utterly zero doubts. But beyond those two things, I have no satisfactory answers, I sit here with an open (but careful cautious,) mindset toward it all.

Excellent post........Here is an angle, Is the greys in our image based off our fear, or they projecting an image so we won't panic in fear and possibly pass out, but they appear to erase memories according to Abductee's.

I firmly believe there is multiple dimensions that they can slip in and out of with ease........

Another consideration is our government IS advanced under our radar by 30 years or more! Why is it these aliens biology similar.....do they replicate our DNA and live among us, an advanced race integrated into our society to accelerate our species, I observe and entertain my thoughts witnessing child prodigies in moments displaying their talents....

Our current technology is considered an antique distraction in the eyes of big brother, we have our eyes locked in a piece of plastic projecting entertainment all the while interference is happening all around us, we just need to "SWITCH OFF" once in awhile and breathe in silence....... then you will begin to see more clear.

If it's us....
IS it them.......
who knows, whomever or whatever it is, they are elusive and manipulative; therefore possibly transmitting frequency's shutting off our own receptors that open dimensions and sometimes maybe under earths interference we open that door and see UFO's, entity's among other multiverses.

Great thread!

In regards to the varied types of craft, I think that the ideas expressed by the other posters are very intriguing- in particular the idea that some crafts are older tech that took longer than some newer models to arrive. Very neat idea.

In my opinion, and somewhat along the lines of the mentioned post, the craft may well be intelligent, evolving machines. That is, they reproduce and upgrade (evolve) themselves over time as they deduce newer, more efficient designs. The vastness between stars is far from empty, and a craft with the capability to produce copies of itself wouldn't be so hard pressed for raw materials; much like a blue whale, the earth largest organism, feeds on some of the earth's tiniest organisms, plankton. They cruise through space, collecting raw materials, all the while designing the next generation

This idea also allows for the crafts to be rather inhospitable to life in general- they don't require organic materials that would be sensitive to radiation, for example.

As to the why questions in the OP, I haven't a clue, and can only base an answer on our own want for knowledge and the obvious fact that these machines were designed by organic life. As to whether or not this organic life still exists, or was destroyed by its own creation, I , again, haven't a clue.

To the organic ET question- perhaps what we do call Greys and the like aren't intergalactic space travelers in the same sense as our astronauts. Maybe they are produced "on demand" by the craft. After all, we are just the same as our machines: raw materials constructed via rules coded in DNA rather than blueprints. I don't think its too far of a stretch of the imagination to see an ETs physical body as a construction that has a specific set of memories implanted when needed.

Then again, maybe I am nuts. Thanks for this discussion! Great grease for the wheels!

I would recommend you do your own research like I have for years, reading different books concerning the subject and draw out of it the ideas in the book that actually resonate with you and have proven to back them up. The more you read you tend to find correlating information that keeps popping up. This information generally ends up being proved down the line as the factual information concerning the subject.

Besides all that based on all the research and books I have read into the subject as well as a number of similar subjects. I have come to the conclusion that there are not only one race with one goal there are many races with different goals and reasons for coming to earth which you can decipher in part from the different ship designs.

And as for what’s special here I believe it to be the fact that earth is teeming with live (be it animal or otherwise) and a lot of liquid water from which would draw much interest for many goals from any species or sentient being.

And another conclusion I have come to is the goal for at least one of the species being the small greys(after reading a paper submitted by a member of the united states armed forces there seem to be fifty known races some operating out of bases on earth) is to study are sexual organs I have heard word that it was because they can no longer reproduce and are seeking to interlink are ability to reproduce with their own form and thus saving there race I would imagine however that has not been proven.
