The Tara People

I am not bashing the OP with the following thoughts, I am simply attempting to think outside of the box entirely, because for now I don't think we are going to get any more information from Athenatree (don't quote me on that) and the way everybody is thinking, existing information is going to be exhausted pretty soon in trying to find some reason for these visits.

I simply love reading way too much in to things and can keep myself entertained for days pondering the probabilities and complexities of others, so with that in mind:

What if, either the story is completely fabricated to produce a coded message or warning, or the events actually have happened the way she has recorded them to the point that she was forced subconsciously to produce this coded story?

The thread is continued by the OP either consciously or subconsciously as a distraction from the real purpose.

1: There is a set of numbers in the second paragraph 7,6,14,8,9,4 which are map coordinates for a point on the Otukpo to Ikache road in Nigeria, almost exactly halfway between a Methodist School and a Catholic Church, Interesting that the next two numbers are 50 and 50 religion can be quite barbaric in Africa, I wonder if there is any dispute over religious territory or similar.

As far as I can tell from some simple research, there is no Church Of Latter Day Saints presence in this area.

2: in the fourth paragraph the numbers 1-3 are used followed further down the passage of text by the word THREE, it could just be a simple mistake but it is also a method in coding to discount numbers from use in deciphering.

I am still trying to think of something clever relating to 1-3 although the cleverest thing I could find was the actual sentence (1-3 times a week) 13x7? I don't know, the sum could equal 91 or even 28 Acording to Abbott and Costello if it was realy clever. www.themagiccafe.com...

Surprisingly 1,3,7,28 are african networks on the (evolved UMTS Terrestrial access radio network) Global LTE bands for transition and recieving along with packet data now it has been updated. en.wikipedia.org...

Followed by 20 in the Fifth paragraph, which happens to be the LTE band operated by 'smile Nigeria'

3: And how about the fact that Tara is missing or nonexistent? If you take TARA (missing or nonexistence) from OP's screen name ATHENATREE you are left with only one possible word, which is ETHENE, the Official IUPAC name for the organic chemical compound ETHYLENE C2H4.

By the way Ethylene is the/a main ingredient in GMO food growth, Monsanto are very keen on it, it is a growth propellant of its own rite.

4: I felt drawn to the two connecting lines which read; "we have nothing of great value anyway. Apart from the beautician," and the line; "I Highly doubt that a prank/hoax would last this long" I have read about similar word structuring in NLP but can't put my finger on a connection.

5: lastly and this is way out of the box. The second to last paragraph denotes dropping something and it/everything disappears never to be seen again. Read in to it what you will, I don't want to speculate too much on this one, it is a bit too doomy for me.

I guess it's all just a rant, I want to find connections and I do, it can be done with most things, coincidence? Maybe, although if the numbers wer slightly different would I have come up with the Africa connection? who knows.

I am tired now and need to sleep, but I will probably keep pondering on the different aspects to see if I can find a link.

Actually, my first thought to this story was that the OP has multiple personalities (one being Tara)

However, I don't wantonly throw around accusations of such immediately like many posters here. I like threads to play out, especially when they are interesting like this.

In any case, the poster is suggesting that she (Tara-the old lady) is conning people. Not that they are coming to the door trying to con the homeowner. People of any religion are able to get conned. In fact they usually make easy targets.

But I digress, another poster encapsulated this story perfectly, simply by the sheer number of supposed visitors I feel like a down syndrome autistic suffering from laryngitis would have more information on the people who keep coming randomly to the door.

I don’t think these people are connected in any other way than they have at one point talked to Tara, or at least they are claiming to. As far as I know they have not been victims of a scam, if I were scammed out of money I would be irate. The beautician wanted photos for a portfolio, LDS wanted to follow up on their talks, there have been a few salesmen, some that just ask for her and do not give a reason. So far not one person that is close to her – no friends, or relatives.

If the story is legitimate… (No offence OP if it is because these forums are trolled daily)… With the lack of information you have on the people it seems highly suspect.

Although, you do mention a few people coming by want something, mainly to speak with the lady. Mormons, beautician, etc. If, and I stress if, (I still find it odd at the lack of information you have on them "Why are you looking for her?" odd)

It could be someone who does have casual conversations with a lot of people who are pushing sales, products, free trials, etc. And the lady sends them your address. Maybe her ex husband lived there and she wants to annoy him.

I have thought about a journal, or better one of those peephole camera/microphone gadgets to record my interactions with these people. I am not very techie, and think such a gadget would require drilling into the door so until I can figure out another solution the journal may be the better way to go.

You can buy a nanny cam. Or any relatively cheap security system which stream to computers nowadays.

It looked to me like it was going to drop off and I quite liked the story, it gave me chills down my spine.

It does read like a rough overview of a book or film with no ending yet, almost like somebody was trying to coax an ending from the members here.

And you have all posted just about every option available to the OP.

But I like to put a spin on things, so yeah, why not The Tara People, better that than derail a war or politics thread with my ramblings.

Oh, and only new as a member, I have been reading ATS for the past eight years or more, but I don't specialise in anything in particular so have never felt the urge to join.

Eventually signed up for the sake of it, I get my imagination from ATS itself, I was quite the sheeple before I found this place all those years ago.

Ive read almost the whole thread and dont really have much else too add like everyone else im just as baffled as to what it could be , i like the poster idea but then you have to give out personal details to get info i think the gang thing is unlikely given the duration aswell. Who knows ! OP id love to hear what your plan is now though after getting all them suggestions!

If this is a true account of what you have experienced, it feels like a logical explanation exists as to why these people are knocking on your door every other day. The obvious method to get this explanation, as you and other members have discussed, is to ask a load of questions to anyone who comes asking for Tara. If the other more formal and official routes have provided no explanation then you have to gather what info you can through other means without putting you or your son at risk. I'd be tempted to make an official report with police in the first instance (if you haven't already) just so the authorities have it logged in the system.

Failing that, the main theories that come to my mind have already been covered by other posts so I don't want to keep repeating what has already been said. Regardless of whether the cause is supernatural/extra-dimensional, something strange is happening to you/your apartment on a regular basis and the reason behind that needs to be understood (however mundane it may be).

It's good that you are thinking outside the box especially when people seem to have exhausted all other possibilities. I have to admit though, it is a little strange that you've jumped onto this thread with this theory. You seem to have put a lot of thought into this OP to say you're a new member on ATS! But that may just be down to the combination of a coincidence and me being over sceptical...

To add to your 'outside the box' theory though, the 1st paragraph uses numeric digits as well as actually spelling out numbers. It may be nothing but the inconsistency did stick out to me now that you mention the numbers thing...

I do think your theory is a little far fetched as you have provided no real reason as to why you think the OP is providing a secret/cryptic message? I'd expect to see some form of indication that the message is not to be taken literally in the first instance. Also, why wouldn't the OP just post a thread about Africa (or whatever) instead of fabricating a whole cryptic message to get their point across?

Do you always use commas or sometimes hyphens?

If this is true there is a very simple explanation.
If she works that long a day i suggest during the time she is out of the apartment Tara uses her door for visits. As long as each person shows up to the door when she is out Tara can use the address as if it were her own. That does not touch on the why of using her door/apartment for visits.
Check your neighbors and see if any of them match Tara's description. Also check that all of the door numbers are correct. Could it be that your number has been changed from 1A to 1B and these intended visitors go to the wrong apartment?
Just a thought or two...

The simplest answer is probably correct.

I agree. Tara is a con artist. There are alot of con artist out there who will go to extreme measures. They are of all agers. This tara ladie sounds like a imposter. Think do you know anyone of this age. Say with out the blue eyes of grey hair? Wigs, contacts, face masks. I once dated an imposter who lied about her name, age, and played on my spiritual belief system. Further more knew exactly how to trigger me into mental rage. Be careful. Tara may know you and you dont even know it.

Read through a few pages, and my buddy comes in the room. I tell him your story and hes shocked, and tells me that he once heard about a family that bought a house, and they kept having things go missing, weird misplaced things, ect. What had ended up being the problem is that the old home owner had built a secret room in the walls and was living in the house with the family. coming out when they were gone, and sleeping..really really creepy.....He said it was for 3-5 years but im not to sure if thats accurate or not. So you should make sure no ones living in your walls ma'am

Well I read all the full story and every post, all I gotta say is regardless of it being real or fake, I am going to have a messed up dream tonight haha. Also I never knew there was a thing called gaslighting. That is crazy!!! Is that a real thing? If so, that literally has to drive a person insane!

I do kind of like the idea, that she may be a writer, with writers block and we finished the story for her with our ideas? Also if this is real, MOVE NOW RUN!!! Haha I would move asap, pack clean undies and a tooth brush adios!

Since the OP says that the tara people didn't start coming to her apartment til she'd been there a few years, I'm curious as to what was going on in her life at that time. Divorce? Lost job? Death in the family? Lawsuit? Anything that might serve as a trigger for her personal harassment?

Now that you've got our attention, OP, don't leave us hanging here.
