I have no problem with you not believing the story, I have a problem with you returning to a discussion you have no belief in just to continue to harass and call persons liars and trolls...in Caps.=yelling.

So....


I was wondering if either a psychic or a remote viewer could perhaps do a reading for the OP to see if she has a portal near her home.
I know it's a stretch, but I'm running out of ideas.

And also not everyone knows a psychic, but you never know.
I wish she would come back, and help us , help her.

I would also like to ask her what her son thinks of all this. He might be able to shed some more light on the situation. Younger children/ teens tend to still have more paranormal experiences than grownups. I wonder what his vibes/gut feelings/ instinct tells him about their dilema.

Interesting mystery and, I might add, you sound sincere.
Putting aside the con artist theory, which seems to be the popular explanation...

Three other possibilities come to mind:
1.) Least likely: You or someone in your home in suffering from multiple personality disorder and unknowingly IS Tara.

2.) Perhaps 'Tara' is really a password for a secret meeting, anonymous group or organization: 'Friends Of Tara'...perhaps along the same line as 'Friends Of Bill (Wilson)'.

3.) Tara is a very powerful witch.
Certainly, the name is an unusual one for a 50+ year old woman....and one indicative of Irish witches (among the most powerful).
The itinerant beautician, eager to do your hair in place of Tara...may have been trying to get a lock of your hair in order to initiate a control or questioning spell over you...perhaps regarding Tara's whereabouts.

Because of the things I have experienced and because only Family knows and believes it all to be true, I have no choice myself but to keep an open mind to just about everything.
Interesting idea that the beautician who made her feel uncomfortable may have been trying for a lock of hair.

If the OP is reading this still, I would have to suggest you not let anymore of them inside, who knows what seemingly unimportant thing they may have taken for their purposes.

To the O.P....in addition to the above three possibilities...one other thought comes to mind:

Unbeknownst to you, you have a 'creeper' secretly living in your apartment.

If Mormons are involved, I would put money on 'gaslighting' of some sort.

To what end or purpose, no one really knows.

What if we are in the past and Tara is in the future, no information can be found on her because she hasn't lived there yet.

the people that come looking for her are in the same time frame as us now, they sound like door to door salesmen in a way. it would be an idea to ask other tenants if they have had similar "Tara people" knocking on their door.

My personal guess is either dimensional bleed-through, or possibly past events protruding onto present space-time. Either way, I know all about # disappearing out of nowhere.

I would wonder if its because she's homeschooling and if its actually the black ops trying to make her seem unbalanced or a little crazy. I don't believe its anything dimensional, not because it couldn't be, but because people tend to have rules while here and this isn't astral or dream work, or ufology related, and that isn't happening to places, that aren't pyramids or on major votex's, and even so, not likely to have that scenario. Instead, its more like harrassment, and some kind of targetting that she needs to video and garner evidence for.

6 buildings that are alike, and they're targetting her? Maybe they want to keep it for their "in group" like in the movie, Devil's Avocate, with all those minions.....And so this is bizarre and unusual to make her seem touched in the head.

Hey OP....just a thought...but have YOU gone and knocked on all the doors in all the buildings in your complex and asked for Tara? ....see what the neighbors know, or you may find her !!!

Hey Op s+f for the story, sorry about some of the less than cordial responses from members however if you have been on ATS for a long as some of us then you would Learn to take new members and their tall tales with a pinch of salt. As for your story and member opinions, I think I'd this has really happened then it could easily be explained by the woman living in a similar block of appartments close by. Modern buildings all look the same and would explain their shocked responses. I don't think its a gas light scam as has went on too long, only scientology is crazy enough to drag things out that long and be that dedicated to hate. Hope this helps

Have you ever had the experience of suddenly looking up for a split second and finding your apartment looked different? Knowing you were in same place but different wallpaper, furniture layout and items. Then blinking eyes and everything is as it should be?

Some don't believe your story, some do. It's okay, everyone has the right to take their own stance. There have been plenty in your thread who believe you are / have experienced what you describe. I have never even heard of "gaslighting" before so I learned something new!

If the apartment buildings are small and similar, is it feasible for you to visit the five or six other apartments that are in the same location as your apartment and ask for Tara? Or, at least have a brief conversation with those occupants about what is occurring.

The office looked for the name Tara? Wouldn't you need a last name to do a search. I work retail and would never be able to find a customer in our system by a first name. I wouldn't even make the effort that's ridiculous. How dumb do you really think we are here?

Just because the computer system at your retail job couldn't look up by just name doesn't mean the apartment complex couldn't. Provided the first and last names were stored in separate fields in the database, it would be a very simple query to search directly against the database for it.
