All I know is there is no forensic evidence. None.

- No 'bloody shoe prints' from Knox. That's tabloid bunk.
- The knife they say Knox used doesn't fit the knife wounds on the victim.
- There were a couple of 'knox' cells on the handle of the knife ... but this has been attributed to extremely poor forensic handling by the cops. (see previous information). And the knife doesn't fit the murder wounds anyways ...
- Prosecution blocked the defense from discussing in the trial that the knife wound didn't fit and that the knife was contaminated in the crime lab. They didn't want justice and facts ... they just wanted a win.
- The person who did the crime already apologized and it was proven he did it with hardcore evidence.
- Doing yoga to calm down in an interrogation room doesn't make someone guilty of murder.
- Having tabloids give a catchy nickname of 'foxy knoxy' doesn't make someone guilty of murder.
- The prosecutor has been proven to be a liar and to be in desperate need to 'win a big one' to keep his job.
- The prosecutor states the alleged motive of knox was .... (paraphrase) 'she's a satanic witch who murdered the victim because the victim told her to flush the toilet after knox pooped in it and left it there'. (*eyeroll*)

There simply isn't proof of murder.
And you don't send someone to jail for life when there is no proof.

Will the Italians ask for her to be extradited? should the US authorities hand her over If they ask?

The US constitution protects Amanda Knox from being extradited. Specifically, the 5th Amendment "...nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb". Knox was acquitted in her retrial; therefore, by US law, she cannot be retried again for the same crime; else it is double jeopardy and a violation of the US constitution.

I'm not sure double-jeopardy applies here because it is still the original trial and this latest verdict comes from an appeal to a verdict in the trial.

This one has got a few more years to run....

I guess Knox has some supporters just like Casey Anthony did. I remember there were some guys proposing to Anthony!!

How could one find out if Italy has a bounty for Knox? If the amount is good then there's a lot of people who will want to deliver her to justice. I don't know what US law is regarding foreign arrest warrants though. Enquiring minds wanna know! Now would be the time before she goes into hiding. Her lying and changing her story is peculiar. Isn't that what killers do?

It is an interesting case for sure.
But let's not paint her as completely innocent here. For one her story doesn't make any sense from the get-go.

She claims to have walked into the house to get a mop because her new boyfriend was apparently too stupid to figure out how to clean up a puddle of water, became alarmed when the door was ajar, walked into the bathroom and took a shower, then noticed blood in the sink. The rest is history.

But that doesn't make any sense considering there was a trail of bloody footprints leading to the front door.

She was reportedly dancing outside the house when the cops were there.

Another interesting tidbit is that Meredith had been complaining about Knox to her sister that she "never flushes the toilet." Its interesting that the killer didn't flush the toilet. I think there may have been a little beef between the two of them.

At the end of the day though, as it stands now, it is extremely unlikely that she will be extradited. It will be interesting to see what the Italians come up with as new evidence, or whatever they are claiming.

Who knows, maybe they have her dead to rights.

I feel pretty strongly that she had a hand in it.

Perhaps Rudy Guede, whose faeces was found in the toilet by investigators, was the one not flushing the whole time - and letting Knox take the blame?

Seriously, who doesn't flush the toilet these days (unless you're on tank water and it's only urine)?

Wouldn't it be interesting if the "new evidence" was that Guede and Knox had been having an affair?

No. She spent four years in jail for a crime she didn't commit. She was convicted on gossip and anti-American bias in the newspapers there. Nothing more. Looking at the facts of the case, it's really insane that she was charged at all.

I find it hard to get my head around that people on ATS are happy to defend a murderer and are happy she is walking free. I guess peeps might think a bit different if it was their family member that was killed...

Why on earth are any of you discussing whether she is innocent or guilty? That has nothing to do with extradition. You are not the jury and your verdict will have nothing to do with whether she is extradited. IMO the documentary she posed for was completely biased and to have middle America try her and find her innocent in their own minds. Stop watching Lifetime and do real research. Both her and her BF fled prosecution that is evidence under the law in the US of guilt.

CNN wants to stir the pot with its analysts to get people watching. Fact is every law professor agrees that she would be forcibly expedited back to Italy if they requested it. I hope she is. Anyone found guilty of murder needs to be sent to prison for life or executed. We cannot let people commit homicide, we just can't. If this person truly wanted to defend themselves they would be in Italy face to face with that jury. Knox only wants to get her face on as many stations as possible to plea for sympathy.

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz

The Italian legal system, though I don't love it, is a legitimate legal system and we have a treaty with Italy so I don't see how we would resist,

In other words, Knox should be treated an ordinary person, the Harvard law professor added. And if an extradition request is made, the United States would likely comply, according to Dershowitz.

I read an article on the reason why the Italian court found Knox guilty in this latest round of appeals is the handwritten statement after hours of torturous interrogation by police who clearly broke all the rules.

At some point in time, this was ruled inadmissible, so why is this being used as evidence?

Here is a link to Knox's written statement at that time.

themurderofmeredithkercher.com...'s_Confession

This statement has two parts. The first is what Knox states is what she remembers, which is that she spent the night at her boyfriends apartment.

The second part is what the police told her, and what she imagines based on what the police told her.

The second part doesn't not match the evidence of what happened at all. This is complete and total misconduct by the police.

We have found the guilty party, and it is the Italian legal system.

Avoid Italy.

Actually, that is not entirely true. The Us State and Justice depts could agree to extradition, but that only means that the case will be turned over to a Federal Judge in the district that she resides in. Then she would get a chance to present a case against her extradition. A judge could order her held without bail, have bail set, or release her on her own recognizance while awaiting those proceedings. Depending upon the judge, and the cases presented by both sides, extradition could be ordered , or it could be decided by that judge that the best interests of justice are not being served by extraditing Knox. So it is entirely possible that the US could agree to Italy's extradition request and still have Knox stay in America.

Since this is not a popularity contest it's not a question of supporters. The problem with the case against Casey Anthony is there was no evidence she committed the crime. In a murder case you need evidence that the person on trial committed the crime. The problem there was no evidence, it did not look good for her if you based judgement off of how you feel, but that is not good enough.

You dont know what you are talking about. She was convicted of sexual assault, murder, and simulating a robbery in un the first level of yhe trial but could only by found guilty by the higher courts secondary level. She was found INNOCENT of murder there.

She did no flee, she'd came home fate being found innocent.

They won't be extradition her.

Thats funny. If it was Knox that didnt flush the toilet how do uou explain that the feces DNA was that of the actual Ii let Guede?

They tortured this woman pretty much she probably said alot of stuff. The dancing thing sounds like total fabrication.

Like an exaggeration of the "she was kissing her boyfriend outside during the investigation thing" ehich is seriously the only evidence and why these people with brains made of tabloids thought it was a sex thing.

You misunderstood what I was saying.

What I SAID was that Meredith Kercher had been speaking to her sister about Knox and was complaining that she was trying to "conserve water" or some such and in such never flushed the toilet.

It is ironic that Guede didn't flush.
Perhaps just an odd coincidence. I know the crap was Guede's. Just noting what I found as an odd coincidence.

Interesting that you didn't notice the obvious flaw in her story though.

She walked in the front door and presumably walked right over a trail of bloody footprints, but only became "concerned" when she found a couple drops of blood in the sink. To which she wrote off as one of the girls being on the rag.

Her story doesn't add up to me.

ESPECIALLY her reasoning for going to the house to begin with.

She was only there because her boyfriend "didn't know how to get rid of water on the floor", so she went for a mop.

This is laughable.
Is dude a retard? Not got a mop? How about a towel?

ETA: it would be interesting to know how it all really went down.

I think this woman is a snake of the highest order.

She will get into more trouble. I'd almost wager on it. I think she had a hand in it and I think she got off on it.

You can't "deliver" anyone to Italian "justice." These are the same idiots who tried and convicted geologists for failing to prevent / predict earthquakes; -- a thing geologists don't even claim to be able to do.

Their legal system isn't ready for primetime.

If the Italian Supreme Court upholds this conviction, they will once again be the laughing stock of Europe.

I wonder if Knox could sue the detective for an illegal interrogation, the prosecutor for misconduct.

But you are missing that she was freed because (found innocent) because they didnt admit her written statement because it was coerced. She was interrogated for over 8 hours straight, and physically abused while held.

Now they are admitting a once omitted written statement that was given by her under duress. It's b.s.

You dont have to find the flaw in her story because the story is a jumbled coerced mess forces out by the police.

You think she is a snake because of the media. Honestly. She is just a girl. She will probably never get in trouble again and no one would have thought anything negative about her if she hadnt been blamed for a crime she didnt commit.

I find it hard to get my head around the fact that there are people here on ATS that:
Believe she's guilty
Believe the Italian justice system works
Believe regardless of guilt, due to the way the case was handled she deserved to be convicted anyway
Believe the bull# they spew when they use appeals to emotion such as the quoted poster did.

But then it's ATS, "deny ignorance" is the most hollow misunderstood rallying cry on the internet.

Lets face it NOBODY on here actually knows anything for sure (unless they

were actually in the Italian court house) It is all opinions formed from 'news' outlets

and 'newspapers' which although many have castigated as culpable of sensationalism

and half truths, is where every one has got the information which has formed their

views?

Which makes every ones view subjective .... Half a dozen people or more will

often likely take something different from the reading of the same article, even a

jury hearing the same evidence will often be split.

While none of us is in the court room all we can have is supposition, opinions or

second hand reports formed from other peoples opinions.

When I bought my newspaper today two of them had full front pages and

headlines>>>

# "Shameless in Seattle" and " The ice Maiden"

And NO I didn't buy either of those!

And just to throw in a little "tit bit" which I have picked up in life and happens

from the cradle to the grave is ... How often the 'cute' little boy or the

'pretty' little girl (unlike the 'plain janes') get away with murder...

One thing that is clear to anyone familiar with your ATS postings:
If the nations were reversed and Italy was refusing to extradite to America, you would be leading the angry mob demanding that Italy not harbor a convicted murderer and be the loudest voice calling for Americans to boycott Italy.
