I do not think the Rabbi said "shortly" but just after sharon's death. Which means that could be tomorrow or 1,000 years from now or longer.

"Psalm 83 war" and "Gog and Magog war" are two well defined prophecies about Israel. However I am not here to discuss prophecy, rather to express my respect to the great man of Israel - Ariel Sharon. The only reason I mentioned them was because someone wanted to see fire on Israel soon. Well, if so, God has predicted the outcome of that war as well. Call it whatever you like it.

But like someone said, they all ready have had someone just as bad if not worse to replace the war hawkish mass murderer. He reminded me a lot of Stalin. I will feel the same way about many of our own presidents when they meet their maker as well. Hades is getting full these days I bet. Maybe Satan will take one of Americas playbook and build debtors prisons when there is no more room.

Pave the way for more peace?? He was a monster that had no problem with targeting innocents. He should have been tried as a war criminal and executed like the Nazis. If there is a hell may he enjoy it for eternity.

Slightly off topic, but this is surely one of those cases where people might be excused for thinking they are in an alternate time-line ..... in which Sharon died years ago. I was totally unaware that he was techinically still alive until this week, when he officially died.

But anyway, I'll not mourn him.

As a believer in Jesus' words, I pray for his salvation and hope that he will repent. I forgive his short comings and hope he may rest in peace.

In July 2005, the Israeli media, without citing sources reported that opponents of the Gaza pullout plan recited the Pulsa diNura in the old cemetery of Rosh Pina, asking the "Angel of Death" to kill Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Six months later Sharon suffered two strokes and was in a coma, fighting for his life, until his death on January 11th 2014.

And you can say the exact same for the other side...monsters, no problem targeting innocents, should be tried for war crimes and executed. I'm no fan of his but...RIP. As for both sides in that war...grow the F up and follow your words, not your political aspirations.

The rabbi said *soon* and soon in human terms means literally, in the near future.
I am more inclined towards a couple of months at the most.
