When I was attending a Jewish Kabbalah class a while back a visiting rabbi came in to address the group and, after making a short lecture, invited everyone to ask any questions they wanted. Something he had mentioned reminded me of Rabbi Kaduri's prophecy so I asked about it. I was truly surprised when the person who normally taught the class shut me down completely interjecting that the whole prophesy story was a mistake and didn't really exist or something to that effect. It was obvious that he didn't want to field that question so I let it go but I'd never seen Shmeul jump on a question like that in the previous couple of years I'd been attending his classes. It was obvious it was a sensitive issue which was surprising to me since Shmuel had never made a secret of being a Messianic Jew prior to that.

Anyway I am glad to see that Sharon is out of his bondage in a failed body and my condoleces go out to his family and friends. To his detractors I guess you really can't appreciate the line one treads if you hold a leadership position on a national level. If you live in the ME and have been on the receiving end of an Isralie attack or suffered due to the lack of one I can only begin to guess what that is like. I guess a few incursions by the Mexican Mafia and running gun battles on the Texas border don't even begin to compare but never a day goes by that we don't wonder if such will become a normal event in our lives!

If this, indeed, is the beginning of a prophetic event I look forward to Messiah and Co.'s return because I'm sick and tired of somewhere between 2 and 3,000 years of tradition clouding the true accouts of events of the past and look forward to the time when all things will be known. Maybe He'll put it all out in a DVD and Blue Ray collection! I'd love to see all those Bible scholars squirm!

Pave the way for more peace?? He was a monster that had no problem with targeting innocents. He should have been tried as a war criminal and executed like the Nazis. If there is a hell may he enjoy it for eternity.

well there's more than one possible "messiah", set to come upon the world stage, depending on who ya listen to. there's the muslim mahdi and the christian jesus. these are not the same individual, although some muslims think they are.

The Mahdi's tenure will coincide with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ (Isa), who is to assist the Mahdi against the Masih ad-Dajjal (literally, the "false Messiah" or Antichrist). Jesus, who is considered the Masih (Messiah) in Islam, will descend at the point of a white arcade, east of Damascus, dressed in yellow robes with his head anointed. He will then join the Mahdi in his war against the Dajjal, where Jesus will slay Dajjal and unite mankind. Sahih Muslim, 41:7023

What or who exactly is this Mahdi tripe.
Don't know if that's in the Bible.

I do have to commend him for trying to work with Yasser Arafat when he was still around, but other than that, he was still on the same vein as Netanyahu.

Yes, one of the oldest rabbis in Israel (guy was 108 when he passed) supposedly made a prophecy that the Messiah would come soon after Sharon's death. Now, as I said there, what is "soon" to a man who has lived for 108 and years? He also supposedly made a note in which he revealed the name of the Messiah and asked it not to be revealed for one year after his death. Short version is that when the note was opened, it revealed Jesus as Messiah.

So, I guess this prophecy is now put on countdown watch although I do not know how you decide when "soon" is up.

The number eight symbolizes new beginnings. According to Kaballah in the Zohar the number eight signifies this because the eight day was the first day after creation when God returned to work; the week began again.

So maybe we wait 8 days or 8 weeks max to see if there is any fulfilled prophecy. Well I suppose
