You're right. The doppleganger or Vardoger phenomenon is not necessarily evil, but does have historical reference to being a bad omen.

My theory stems from a year ago or so, and many I know were spotting what they thought was me around town.

It should be noted that it seems that in most instances where the Vardoger/or doppleganger appear is when the subject (which is doppleganged?) that the person is in deep thought or almost a trance like state.

I know last year my family had kept asking me if I was here or there (which I was not) because they said they could of swore they saw me. In both instances I asked what time they saw my double and upon reflecting, found that I was in a 'daydream mode' or almost hypnotic state whilst they saw me. Maybe I cancelled myself from this plane and my parallel reality self bled through, or I projected myself somewhere else? It is all quite confusing.

Even last weekend, I had planned to go out, and became too busy. However the next day, I received all sorts of texts/friend requests, and odd communications that would have suggested I went out for a night on the town the night before. It was kind of unnerving. Like did my subconcious go out? (haha joking)

While I don't wish to derail the thread, there may be something to this. Many who report dealing with dopplegangers or vardogers, tend to describe them as empty, stand-offish, or even mean.

The following link is a paper touching base on this anomaly.

I have written a novel, pure fantasy on my part. In it are psi ops agents that control peoples minds. They have the ability to make their eyes go entirely black...maybe I am closer to the truth

Randy Maugans at Off Planet Radio had a show about the black eyed kids (it also covered adults) last fall I think it was. Talked about the illness that happens if you let them in. It should be searchable on the Off Planet site. Pets don't like these things either and some people say the pets are never th same after encountering them.

odd, i just read a brad steiger book "real vampires, night stalkers and creatures from the darkside" and he had a small chapter specifically on black eyed children encounters. none of them described encounters with people saying they had actually let them into their houses or about their encounters with animals so that interests me a lot.

it seems as if the kids always travel in packs, more than 1. usually there is always a voice of intuition in the person experiencing the black eyed kids, not to let them in their car or house or what have you. but, i have read about people describing being put into a trance like state where they are watching there movements unaware of why they are doing them. for example one gentleman described black eyed kids coming up to his car asking for a ride, at which point he saw his arm moving to unlock the door, not by his own accord, and he was able to snap out of it and pull his hand away, start the car and leave.

anyway, these aren't the type of paranormal creatures that i would like to experience. there have been cases of them stalking intended victims for the entirety of their day and following them home. always asking for entry to a car or home or what have you. perhaps if they are causing physical illness they are more of an energy vampire than a typical blood seeking vamp. i don't think anything ive read about them lends to the possibility of them being alien.... demonic though... who knows...

Was this person attractive by any chance? Lol i find this topic terribly stupid. Imagine if every person you encountered were all freaked out, and making posts on somebody with "black eyes"

It is an interesting topic. I have not experienced this myself but have read/heard the experiences of others and I do not doubt them. It is an interesting angle since we as humans are hard wired to respond to and help children. Some people find it difficult to turn them down because our first instinct is "it's a child and I should help them". From what I have been told most of them appear as young teens or tweens. Young enough to need help.

why doesnt anyone ever muster up some courage and actually try and talk to these "beings" and see what comes of it.

especially if its in some public place like cafe, grocery store, etc.....

yeah i agree. that is definitely part of the ploy. "mister we need a ride", "mister we need to use your phone", "mister do you have any food". always that kind of stuff. appearing to need help and assistance, but, always in a sort of forceful, creepy way. and always very insistent and clever.

as for why no one talks to these things, there have been people that do talk to them. but, i think there is always an overwhelming sense of "evil" or fear that starts to well up in people when they are around these things.

I've been following this thread for a while but have not read all the responses. My apologizes if this has been asked but has this entity caused any difference in your son or in your home?

I go to Walmart almost every single week and I have never seen any black eyed kids. I did read some are doing tattoos on their eyes now. There are a number of weird people out in society now so maybe the local Walmart just reflects the kind of people in the area. I don't think I've even noticed anyone with all black eyes yet. If I see someone, maybe I'll ask if that's a tattoo or just contacts if they happen to be looking at me. They might kid me and say they don't know what I'm talking about.

To scare and intimidate others would be one reason some might want to do it. If they are expensive and no one was scared, less might do it. However tattoos tend to be permanent.

Now if you could have contact lenses that changed from white to black if you blinked twice real quick, I bet a bunch of people would go for that. That technology has not been invented yet as far as I know.

finally somebody with reasoning skills.

if the occurrence is often attributed to Walmart buyers and a poster above even saw the "black eyed" kids the second time being absolutely normal, even recognizing him as the one they spooked out before - what other proof do you need that this is just a way of entertainment for some people?

Not to be a fun buster here or "Doom Porn" killer but 2 days ago I picked up some prescription glasses and whilst waiting I noticed a chart showing coloured Contact Lenses and whoah and behold there was black.

Hi. I had not read anything about black eyed people but to me it sounded like the men in black who Dan Burish talks about. He says those beings are in fact dead human bodies animated by aliens through a bio-mechanical technology.
www.youtube.com...

His version fits with explanation #5 on this link which I quote below:
www.gods-and-monsters.com...

"5.Those who have spoken to them say that they often make reference to not having a home. They seem to be wandering around, looking for... something. I have an eerie feeling that their idea of "home" isn't a house - it's a body to live in."

I'm still laughing that the 'geniuses' are still flooding the 15th!! page with 'you know, dur, there's black contact lenses out there'.

Yes, 15 pages later, and at least 3 or 4 postings per page have already enlightened us unwashed peasants that sclera exists.

Maybe the all knowing enlighteners may want to read a page or two of this thread before posting sclera pics....Ugh.

ETA; Most of the people reading the paranormal forum, do so because they have experienced something...dare I say...PARANORMAL.

Most of the people who have never had a gut feeling, instinctual response, or sensed negative vibes emanate are maybe the same people from whence bad juju originates? Really...how can one be so immersed in their own bubbles that these perceptions are discounted?

I may come off as being a little harsh, but for those who know empathy, these narcissistic traits are difficult to deal with on a daily basis.

Some people never learn to listen to their gut instinct. Yeah the lenses explain the "black eyes" but that doesn't explain the feeling of shear terror that people feel during the encounter.
the fight or flight instinct won't kick in over any weird person in Walmart,or strange eyes, unless it's truly something to be afraid of. This is something no one has control over.
I personally haven't had a encounter, but when I feel the tingling sensation crawling up my spine to the back of my neck I will most definitely listen to it.

We got a lot of cases of faceless beings and eyeless beings in the Paranormal experience topic.

The eyes being different to the other parts of the body does make sense.
After all to see the light range which we can see, the light needs to influence a part of them, which again influences the light.

An increased heart beat, usually mistaken as the illusion "fear" makes you faster and slows things down to your perception. This also means you can see fast beings more easily, as your eyes can catch up with it a little.

This again causing "fear" or adrenaline keeping the function up until it's over.
