2014 new Smilies - what's your favorite one?

I only joined 3 mos ago but yea, the ugly, very basic 80's looking smilies were one of the first things I noticed on the site design.

To me, its refreshing to see staff changing it up!

Still don't like 'em and will continue to keep a eye out for the old school ones. Some things just should not change.

But now at least I have some new targets to shoot at.

I love ATS...but frankly, these things suck as well as far as I'm concerned. To generic...but I guess that's what people want these days.

Gotta agree with you, I was wondering if theres any from the past ATS years that looked 'better'?

Granted, even the current new ones are likely to change, as multiple updates are scheduled and the new year's still fresh.

Worst smilies ever. How can anyone use emotionless emoticons? They are just cold.I like that there are more of them but the design is really terrible.

I had to click reply just to see what the choices are. I agree with TDawg ( ) and I could say the same about most of the internet for the past 15 years. These green on black squares look like spooks version of smileys, but maybe someone is trying to tell us something Plus many of them are so similar I can't tell the difference.

LOL, 'emotionless' and 'cold' indeed describe the current ones we've been posting, they look..

I'm staying optimistic that they're just testing them, until they find the best expressive EMOTICONS for ATS.

I'm thinking these emoticons need independent testing....

I for one like them very much.

OMG. The smilies have changed!! I was just finally becoming, albeit begrudgingly, used to their predecessors. The new set, though, are bit better and not so...green.

I guess a for the extra efforts invested, and the improvement of the previous emoticon set.

A however, because all the effort, wasn't good enough to compete with the original abundance of emticons that have been available in the past.
