Thanks for pointing out this glaring omission from the original OP:
In the survey participants were also asked: “If there were no barriers to living in any country of the world, which country would you like to live in?” Despite being the perceived largest threat to world peace, the US still topped the tables by a narrow margin of 9 percent.
Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect the individual opinions of the ATS posters, but I find it hard to place too much validity in a poll that surmises that the US is both the most dangerous country while at the same time being the most preferred country in which to reside by the same poll participants.

I guess that the question of morality enters my mind and I choose to believe I'm not the only one for which this would hold significant weight.
"Oh how I wish to live in the most dangerous country in the world in order to cash in on the opportunities it's superiority, arrogance and aggression offers?" I personally can't buy that.

You should go to some of the US Political Forums then, with many here now having come from other countries
As an American, I am ashamed at what come of the members agree with if it enriches themselves at others expense around the world.
The things you can get away with in the US if you make it Big would get a bullet in your head in other places in the world.

Hey TTT..
Do you think that if American mums and dads brought their sons and daughters up with the opinion that it's wrong to join the military to kill women and children in far away lands?????....just so they can pay off their mortgage and large pick-up trucks......a lot of the dislike for americans would disappear??????
it would certainly starve the American war mongers[who don't send their brats overseas to fight]...of the man/women power to carry out the collateral damage that the rest of the world detests?????
look at the drone sh#t that's hitting wedding ceremonies in far away places from the usa....how are these operators hero's and protecting their homeland and their families???????.....from a bride and groom who want to raise children????
the president of the usa is damaged goods from a dysfunctional family....he's certainly not a statesman with style or decorum......how can any sensible person follow him?????
I'm so glad I don't live in the usa......to me it seems such a topsy tervey extreme country where if your not with us then you must be against us.....no middle ground....a nazi world.....
American opinions on ats give me this impression ......

What I find ironically humorous is that the same people polled who say that the US is the biggest threat are also the very same people who would like to immigrate here.
Screw them and their opinions...they can't even make up their own mind.

US the biggest threat to world peace in 2013 – poll
Is anyone surprised?
I sure am not.
Sometimes these polls do present accurate statistics...
Anyways, I don't need poll results to state the obvious.

If I was American, I would probably be sort of offended ... but then again, people cast their votes on America not because of Americans, but because of Congress. And really, who can blame them for that?
Remember, your congress may not be the worst, but of all the parliaments in the world, yours are the most prominent - and I have yet too see a parliament that doesn't make me question the sanity of it's country and government!
So, well, blame Congress! :-)

Ps i think the US goverment is a huge threat but you wouldnt catch me dead immigrating to the states.

It's odd that an American would have the same enemies list as Iran.
Shoot man...hahahahaha...
People are allowed opinions. How does anyone's personal list make them Iranian? I am Canadian of European descent and agree with that list for the most part...you going to call me Iranian?
Nice job of derailing this thread though...congrats.
As for USA being number 1 bad guy, on the political stage yes but in reality it is above all that, these so called elected officials in Washington DC are just slaves to Wall street and the Federal Reserve and much more than that if you look into it, it goes beyond national borders and and public admissions. It's all about money, always has been always will with a few other agendas thrown in.
Things do go on behind the scenes and the USA just so happens to be a convenient playing field.
When people play the USA blame game they forget to mention that their countries are puppets to the same masters too, including mine. I admit it all the time and try and make sure not to pretend I am better than anyone else as we are all the same in most cases where we are just regular people caught in the middle.
As an American you should speak out against these things instead of trying to justify them.
Can you refute or disagree with anything I typed? If so please elaborate.
