Going to email some friends in Greece and see what their take is.

Did the quake in Greece shake her back to life? Or possibly she just wasn’t as ‘through’ as we’d thought?
Who knows.
But she’s still at it.

Very quiet.
Very little ash (for now).

But the lava’s still flowing.

She’s still at that slow bleed stage and it just keeps flowing...

No noise, no tremors, no ash to speak of but that first eruption hasn’t left us yet.

Weak strombolian activity at the summit vent of the New SE crater and lava emission from the fissure vent at its eastern foot continue. Tremor is still elevated but has been showing a slowly declining trend, suggesting that the current eruptive episode might be approaching an end in a near future.

This is where Etna says 'Not'! (Report from yesterday) link

Not much of a pic - me sneaking it through the trees - but it's better than anything on live cams - at least at this moment.

Try them though!

Yep - she snuck in a little explosion and eruption last evening!

I’m still looking for (more) information.

It’s all behind clouds now - wish I could get a peak!

I'm not quite sure what your question is - but Etna is definitely doing 'something'!
Please explain your question - if you'd be so kind.

She’s getting loud - and putting out the ash. Starting to warm up to a ‘real’ eruption.

Maybe, lol.

I hope to get a smoke ring today - that’s how she’s acting...

She's been getting louder and louder all afternoon.

I can't see much (as you can't see either) - but I'm sure there's lava flow in there somewhere.

Unusual for this amount of noise and earth shakes to expel little if any or no ash - but there's been some fantastic 'sharp' explosions sounding off like trash can lids being bashed together on a grand scale.

Interesting continuation of this unusual eruption.

Increasing activity Update Fri 07 Feb 09:16 The lava flow and strombolian activity at the New SE crater have continued and activity has been increasing. The corresponding tremor signal is rising as well with a pronounced upwards trend over the past hours. It looks as if Etna is in for another paroxysm in the very near future. Stunning photo, Gracie!

She's still going stong; remarkable.

Tremor looks to still be creeping upward, too.

How does she sound at the moment?

Hi Hi Olivine!
Thanks for the pics.

The thing about this eruption? It just goes on and on and on - only yesterday was there a little 'noise' - but none today and none as of 10 minutes ago when I went out to see if I could get a shot - which I still can't.

It's a strange one!

Also - still very little ash.

I'll keep an eye open for a shot - but it doesn't look promising.

*Fingers Crossed*!

peace & thanks again

Here’s a little something for you - not much - but this eruption is a hard angle for me.
And then there’s that tripod thing *sigh*.

Will try later when moon gives me more lighting - or Etna does!
