On Dec. 2, 2013, we learned from the Federal Register that the rules are now being written. Starting in 2015, insurance companies will be barred from doing business with doctors who fail to comply. The rules will be offered in the name of ensuring “health-care quality,” which of course could mean anything.
Not just patients in government programs like Medicare and Medicaid, but patients with private plans they pay for themselves.
The rules have not been announced, but we have some hints from the president’s key health advisor when the Affordable Care Act was written, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel. Early on, he suggested that doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously “as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others.”

You are partially right. But this is soo much more. This is a country for the people by the people. So how many people will happily want the plug pulled on grandma because she is taking up space? Though so...

So basically doctors are being blackmailed into complying with the government or else....
Sounds like a threat to me [if I were a doctor]
ETA: My husband is quite a bit older than I, and I worry about future problems that he may run into due to what you just posted. Scary

I have one doctor that takes no insurance at all. More might go that route in 2015. So you will still have fabulous private care for the super wealthy but everyone else is going to stand in line behind the Medicaid patients. You have no idea whats about to happen to you. 3 to 4 hour waits. Oh yeah, it's comin. You're paying for trash. You will get the same care as someone living on Welfare.

A lot of folks have no idea what proper medical care is. Their experience is limited to medical services. Obamarama Care is not going to make it better ... it will make it worse ... just equally worse for more. Then again, there aren't a lot of medical miracles you can find in a doctor's office anyway.
This is all about enriching the insurance industry.
P.S. I missed your posts while you were on hiatus. Glad to see you back!!

I wonder how may doctors will decide it's time for a career change?
360 million people flooding into the hospitals, doctors offices, and clinics while the doctors are fleeing their profession.
