Hi Gordi. Thank you for that. You have allowed me to procrastinate further. RESULT! That flag looks like the bat symbol being beamed up into the sky calling on me to save the world! Love it, but oh, the pressure (my batmobile is in for a service and my suit is in the wash - got mustard on it).

I love Cody's flag, Rainbow's stars and now your landscape, so I feel like a whinging avatarzilla. Therefore I am going to go away for a little while and do some work. I'll come back later and choose. Thank you all for your efforts.

I am curious. How does the southern cross 'hang' in south african skies? In Australia it's kind of lop sided, like it's laying down for a nap, with the pointers sort of off to the left a bit.

That's my take anyway. Unfortunately due to the size restrictions something has to be covered by the user info, otherwise it just winds up being empty space with everything else crammed into the top third. Where the flag is it should still be enhanced by the user info lines with the savannah backdrop and the night sky above it.

Fractal experiment , someone may find a use for it ...

Yup, the southern cross is all lopsided in SA too, although it 'twists' through the night from laying on its side with the pointers underneath, to sort of pointing towards top left with the pointers to the left. (highly technical astronomical terminology there, well done Mura)

If you are in Australia then I guess you are also very familiar with the constellation.

The talent on this thread is truly awesome. I can just about draw boxes and circles with paint and colour them in.

Right, off to work now. Will sort out my avatar once the weekend starts.

In a perfect world where we create our own stars,and shape galaxies to our liking, it hangs the way I like it.

Actually it was because of the size restrictions. There's only so many constellations one can fit in 200x455.

Awesome job on your take on the avatar.
Let's hope Mura will like them.
