I think it could be perfectly possible...on another planet with different gravity for contact by an insect or whatever.

On Earth though, that's several times bigger than anything the legs could muster for sticky to support it. Even a hollow and very light bird like structure, on that scale, would go...how did they use to put it? Oh yes....

Boom-Splat.

I'm open to challenges to the laws of nature, since we've explored so little of it as a total, but the laws of physics are a bit tougher to find a new exception to, I think.

Why are you assuming that the "laws of physics" we know to be true here on earth are the same everywhere?
Also who knows what it could be made of? an element we never seen before that could make it's body stronger than titanium but lighter than plastic?

It could even be wearing a suit for all you can tell that renders it weightless for all we know.

When talking about something from another planet all things we think we know are irrelevant I believe.

just a thought....

No good. Plastanium melts in the dark.

It would have slid off the wall.

Very weird indeed, if its fake, lol, but if not, WTF? too much detail in the original(?) video* to be a fake building, and just because noone else seen it does'nt mean it did'nt happen.

We're saying it was filmed here, right? So the laws of physics we know here, apply here. The movement seems to indicate mass and weight to some degree and sure has nothing of a weightless or floating appearance.

I'd guess After Effects, personally..and well done, too.

2 years old thread from ATS about stick-like white creature climbing a wall

That is super creepy too. It makes you wonder if it is real or if these are the same folks fooling around. Eek... Those things are creepier than most of the stuff I have ever seen in any horror movie.

Just doesn't look real to me. Looks almost like something on the outside of the window, though probably CGI.

And why was this just randomly filmed? Something special about that building?

Epic thread title.

That thing looks totally fake to me.

And how do you have 2 zillion stars with 400 posts? Thats like a billion starts per post?

I never saw that thread. Bumped it. Y'know, something like that could be real but thanks to all the professional hoaxers out there, we'll never know. Too bad. How ironic too seeing we have the technology to put myths to an end yet we end up creating more. Good find.

That was also my thought, why is the building being recorded in the first place?

Obviously it's not be real but it sure is a good concept for a movie or game.

Seeing this brought something back to memory...

Close Encounters Of The Third Kind.

Apparantly Speilberg did a screening in the Whitehouse for Reagan -

"It was in the White House screening room and Reagan got up to thank me for bringing the film to show the President, the First Lady and all of their guests, which included Sandra Day O’Connor in her first week of as a Justice of the Supreme Court, and it included some astronauts… I think Neil Armstrong was there, I’m not 100% certain, but it was an amazing, amazing evening.

He just stood up and he looked around the room, almost like he was doing a headcount, and he said, 'I wanted to thank you for bringing E.T. to the White House. We really enjoyed your movie,' and then he looked around the room and said, 'And there are a number of people in this room who know that everything on that screen is absolutely true.'

And he said it without smiling! But he said that and everybody laughed, by the way. The whole room laughed because he presented it like a joke, but he wasn’t smiling as he said it."

Are you sure its not real? (insert spooky music here)

Like are you really really sure? lol.

Maybe the person saw it and ran to get their camera and waited for it to come back.

----

One thing that is interesting when I do a SMOOTH luminance level
(i.e. brightening) of the video so that I don't accentuate the
JPEG-image like macro-block compression artifacts that are
present in the video.....is that the creature CRAWLS OVER
THE ROOF'S EDGE !!!!!

It's NOT noticeable in the original video or any subsequent video
permutations, but you can clearly see arms/legs reaching OVER
the roof-ledges and grabbing onto the walls of the building
and ONLY THEN coming into view!!!!!!!

Most hoaxsters are pretty blase about putting too much effort
into a fake video and would NOT USUALLY BOTHER with doing
that much added realism into the dark/unseen areas of the video.

In my opinion the motion of the arms is MOSTLY non-linear
(i.e. accelerated motion of arm movement) that does NOT show
the characteristic X-number of pixels between each arm/leg
movement that is part of the smooth and linear in-between
frame renders when using lower-level animation software
such as Blender.

i also SEE a consistent MACROBLOCKING and consistent pixel
brightness and pixel-speckling that is part of the VIDEO NOISE
that is present in the walls and on the LEGS/ARMS of the creature.

This is NOT TO SAY the video is of a REAL creature but I DO SAY that
the animation itself (if it is one!) is MASTERFULLY MADE...with realistic
non-linear motion, full emulation of pixel and video noise and basically
PERFECT LIGHTING EMULATION where the creature's lighted portions
MATCHES the lighting of the building.

So it's either REAL...or done with a real High end piece of software such as
Autodesk Inferno/Flame Premium and at almost $100,000.00+ (with hardware), they're NOT CHEAP!!!!!

See Link to Flame/Inferno
en.wikipedia.org...

The animation itself was probably done on Maya/SoftImage

See Links:

Softimage:
en.wikipedia.org...

Maya:
en.wikipedia.org...

I'm NOT DISMISSING that this could have been done using the
open-source Blender 3D program, but the operator would have
to be REAL SKILLED with a great sense of direction, timing and
composition! This means they're PRO and EXPENSIVE to hire
which means this MIGHT be a viral video attempt at
a movie promotion!

See Blender link:
en.wikipedia.org...

It's darn good no matter what!

You noticed the same thing I did. When he/it/whatever is coming down the side of the building and getting ready to climb onto the other side of the building he/she/blob/eh's last step lines up perfectly with that ledge that is there. That is the part that spiked the spooky factor most for me. It bends it's leg/antenna/arm/tentacle at the "knee" and at the "foot" perfectly.

But I don't know as much about any of the CGI stuff like it seems you do. I just have to keep looking at that same part though. My logical mind says it's fake.... because holy hand grenades that is eerie!!!
