You are correct, I have only a rudimentary understanding of buddhism but since they arent discussing Buddhism in the vid its kinda irrelevant.

Substitute Schreck in the above sentence for priests or church and you have just described Christianity

The OP is using the sloth and cat meme (likely taken from /r/eddit ) so it is not unlikely that they are a stereotypical American atheist that does not understand religious concepts. They would rather bash Christianity because, they were raised by the TV, and reading takes too long.

Most modern atheists and Christianity bashers (similar to OP) can't/refuse to accept that the very core of Christianity preaches that this material world is not all of reality, so they try to attach all its teachings to material phenomena. The very idea believed by most ancient peoples of spirit descending into matter is too foreign a concept to be considered seriously, because "science."

They find the beginner level of satanic teachings appealing because instead of referring to spirit as some non material phenomena it is called the "will" which is sounds more readily acceptable than spirit.


I highly doubt the OP is serious when claiming they agree with satanism seeing as they have not mentioned exploring the literature to discover what the symbolism and actions mean.

At least OP acknowledges that Rhianna does in fact utilize "satanic" symbolism.

This should be especially clear when Mr. Werewolf talks about the symbolism of the wolf relating to the carnal nature being stimulated in the viewer.

Just look at much of pop culture stars now a days like Keisha, David Guetta, Macklemore, all basing entire videos relating themselves to wolves "taking over" and hunting.

Another example is Parks and Recreation where Leslie is flashing the horns in the picture taken in the episode when she wins office, and more recently the episode with April dressing up as a werewolf and egging Jerry's house, or Leslie's favorite festival being the "Lilith Fair."

There are plenty of examples of this in other shows like How I Met Your Mother were Lilly (lilith) is always depicted with owl clothes or jewelery and Ted always has a Metropolis poster in his room.

Satanism is popular in Hollywood and judging by how they act I can not understand why people think it is a good thing at all. Imagine if people close to you acted as selfish and irresponsible as these people do everyday . . . . I would be fighting the urge to slap a mofo upside the head 24/7.

Couple things

1) Im an Aussie not a Yank
2) I have as good a grasp of religious concepts as the next person, unfortunately when it comes to organised religion very little is black and white and even theologians from the same denominations argue over basic points.
3) I read extensively, as a child I read A to D of an encyclopeadia one weekend when there were no other books in a house we went for a holiday in and even now I always have 2 or 3 books on the go.
4) Im not an exclusive basher of Christianity, Ill have a crack at any organised ignorance (ie religion)
5) I dont believe we have a soul or spirit, I KNOW WE DO!!!
6) I believe in a creator just not the sadistic, petty, jealous, meglomaniacal source of evil you call the biblical god
7) everything I know about satanism has come from youtube videos made by paranoid religious nuts and the video from the OP. I was surprised it wasnt all about killing and chaos which is why I made the OP, to deny my own and others ignorance.
8) I agreed almost 100% with everything the Satanists in the video said.

Do you make any distinction between Satanism and Devil worship/Luciferianism?
With the examples of Satanism in the media you gave what do you think is their agenda?
Is it a brainwashing tactic? Is it just an inside joke for other satanists out there?
Is it some sort of ritual maybe?

To me it seems way to subtle to be of any use, Ive watched How I met your mother tons of times and never noticed anything dodgy about it. Same goes for your other examples. Excpet Keesha, that die young video was just weird

Did Buddha himself teach anything about Spirits/Angels/Demons?

I was under the impression he didnt say anything about these types of things, I know modern Buddhism has been corrupted and people now pray to Buddha but have never heard of his actual teachings saying anything about it.

Please correct me if Im wrong but if Im not then Buddhists who believe such things are not true Buddhists (ie following the teachings of Buddha) just like Pedo priests or mass murdering Satanists are not true to their beliefs

Buddha's teachings only exist in a manner similar to Yehoshua's in that his disciples traveled around preaching them to others and were eventually coalesced into manuscripts. Buddha taught to reject the material world to achieve enlightenment and reunite with the godhead. It was entirely spiritual in the sense that there was existence without material form.


Satanism does NOT have any rules or laws against mass murder. Its philosophy is to make your own rules and to abide by others in a fashion which benefits yourself. Satanists may preach against murder and condemn it, however the ideology does not. It is in the truest sense moral relativism condoning the survival of the fittest.

The ideology preaches about moderation, mass murder does not strike me as moderate.
Maybe Le Veys book doesnt directly forbid mas murder as it was written in the 70's and the audience it was intended for is well aware that killing people left right and center is not the way forward?

I think alot of his work was for show/shock value to get publicity, I think the other guy hit the nail on the head when he described these particular Satanists as rebelling Atheists.

To a certain degree I also believe in the survival of the fittest, very very few things people do in this life are truly altruistic. Most Christians code of conduct is based on a fear/reward system. Fear of hell, hoping for rewards in heaven.

Satanism and Luciferianism are indeed two different things, at least in "occcult" circles.

Lucifer is usually associated with enlightenment and the attainment of knowledge. It is often tied to the planet Venus as well as the Sun via mystery schools from back in the day. Satanism is more often than not manifested in the manner in which things are done, ie through deceit or violence (to oneself or others). Crowley tends to be more appealing to those who are attracted to luciferianism while individuals like Aquino and his temple of set are the focus of the stereotypical portrayal of satanists.

Spirit or will is presented as a psychic force, an idea, which may have mass in the form of electrical activity in the brain at some point can only be effectively represented as energy (Joules) during the process involved in its transference. The distinction here between "science" and various spiritual beliefs is that the very conception of the idea came from outside the material plane. Plato's allegory of the cave is a very accurate representation of how an initiate (those who have the out of body experience associated with initiation) views the notions of those in the cave (the material world ie: skull = cave).

Manly P Hall gives a great lecture on this subject, but it really takes time to mull over and distill what you will form it.

Im aware of what faith means and as far as Im concerned by its very definition its ignorance.

Faith isnt important, its a crutch for the weak minded and the gullible.
Faith is what drives suicide bombers, faith is what makes mothers take choking children to church instead of hospital.
Faith serves its purpose in keeping the stupid docile and quiet, 95% of the people who tell you to have faith ( the papacy being the easiest and most accessible example) have none and are laughing at you while they reaped the fruits of your labour.

Ill stick with the likelyhood that the Abrahamic god is a fairytale and possibly pay for it in hell when I die.
That said,I am a good person and if god requires my obedience, butt kissing and constant reassurance that hes awesome to get into heaven he can shove it.

Once again I do believe in a creator but I KNOW the biblical god is not him, if the bible is true and someone spoke to the Jews it wasnt god and Im fairly certain it was a demon

The buddhism I have read teaches on a personal internal level where you personify parts of yourself and become aware of the parts. The demonic is the ego selfishness where you see yourself separated from others and that you or your values are more right since they are from you. Many are stuck with the demonic as hate for sexual difference, race, nationality, religion. The counter is the angelic side that feels connection with others and want symbiosis with everything that is if possible.

From personal experience I know that the spiritual reality contain both symbiosis and being who want you not to achieve symbiosis or lose the symbiosis you already have achieved. What buddha said something or not do not matter in this case. "What is" matter.

Maybe I am all that is and nothing else or no one else exist. . You can never be sure if it is internal or external. I wish I could know it by the physical pressure on the forehead but I cannot make the distinction since the pressure is always there.

Since I can telepathically transmit to certain psychics in the right circumstances I am pretty sure I can be manipulated if I do not monitor the thoughts I have. You create a observer to make sure that the information that is there is something you want. If it is internal or not is not really important. You have to deal with the mess that appears in the conscious mind either way.

If it is all me then it is a higher me player who is giving my character special information. To the character the player can be seen as external person not the character.

And if you want to learn more about telepathy/synchronous manifestation of intent in others then ask someone who have more experience than me. I am not the teacher you are looking for.
