Gotland kicked the Navy's ass in pretty much every exercise. To the point we leased it for a year to play with. It's sort of a reprovisioning nightmare, you need tankers, but once it's in close it's tough to stop.

With such tiny tracking devices we should be able to flood russian bases with milliona of them and if any make it back to our shores we find. Or how about tracking devices that set like charge depths but attach themselves via magnets to passing subs set up around the coasts like nets. I am sure there are common depths for submarines.

I could think of plenty of ways to try to fight back.

Given FDR [that if ANYTHING happened in politics on the geopolitical stage--it was PLANNED that way.] and other globalists' assertions here:

twoday.net...

I'm confident that the seeming conflicts are . . . KABUKI DANCE STEPS . . . for public consumption.

Oh, there will be conflict . . . but engineered with all the parties playing their assigned genocidal roles and parts.

The fact remains that

Putin is some version of a globalist Marxist.

The O is some version of a globalist Marxist.

The Chinese Premier/Chairman is some version of a globalist Marxist . . .

and they all dance on the end of strings to their masters' choreographed farce of a charade.

. . . to the hurt of the masses . . . the very masses Marx pretended to champion . . . while he was funded in a very adequate lifestyle by . . . globalists.

Yep. Couldn't catch it. You could wreak havoc for a while. No great range or duration but for a bit you would be a grizzly from hell.

Sooooooooooo . . . how do you explain the literally hundreds of people all around the world who have been having very clear and repeated prophetic type dreams of just that happening . . . nukes from subs and other vehicles striking our cities on the Left and East coasts at the start of WW3.

They watch too many hollywood films?

And certainly there are also rumors from Russia as well as China of such goings on in the works.

While the USA keeps on terrorizing the third world and threatening to do the same to the developed world people will want to keep on building nukes...

Dimitru Duduman has the best track record on such dreams and visions. . . . now deceased . . .

Being the best at a non competitive exercise may not be the best way to gain standing in whichever community of people you are trying to impress; certainly not in groups who believe themselves to be educated&intelligent...

Well they better get on the ball. I'm hearing ten to fifteen years tops before we see some nice new tech that brings cheap, safe power.

off topic - but - you got a thread for that Zaph?

imho, you are merely showing your lack of experience and awareness in such fields.

I would guesstimate that there's upwards of several thousand websites, threads, postings--maybe upwards of 10 thousand . . . of such dreams and visions from people of all walks of life . . . all IQ's . . . all socio-economic status levels . . . ALL EDUCATION LEVELS

So your snipe about poorly educated is simply wholesale inaccurate, wrong, false, deceived, unaware.

Put it another way . . . If I'm wrong . . . the worst result might be some unnecessary prepping and anxiety.

If you are wrong . . . God have mercy.

Of course, I realize that your attitude tends to correlate with folks who have a track record of strutting about as though they are NEVER wrong and others routinely are wrong by comparison.

The fact of the matter is . . . these folks

twoday.net...

have been planning WW3 a LONG time.

They talk about such genocidal plans quite brazenly.

Talk to businessmen traveling to and doing business in Russia. This is NOT contingency planning. This is SPECIFIC DEDICATED PLANNING for a definite, scheduled WW3.

This is not about fantasy scenarios. This is about a REAL future with REAL deaths.

However, you have good company in terms of those who refuse to face the evidence and continue to try and live in willful ignorance or willful blindness.

Many cannot constitutionally face the evidence. Many WILL NOT.

Without the range of a nuclear sub? Makes sense regionally but for USN?

Range is not the issue as much as the limited staying power is.... If you run off diesel electric that diesel&what not must come from somewhere so provided that the USN is the premier world power and have bases all around the world it make sense that it can have a significant diesel electric fleet of subs that can be refueled on or near where they are stationed. In fact with modern tech i do not see why the old notion of large tanker subs could not be brought back each of which might enable at least 2-3 other subs to stay on station as long as nuclear one can.

As best i can tell the best reason for the all nuclear fleet is to make sure that there will be sufficient fast sub escorts for the fast carrier groups ( which has it's own limitations in that noisy environment) and their general staying power&speed. That being said diesels are vastly cheaper ( depending on who you speak to and capabilities required 20-40% of the cost of a nuclear) and i think you could probably get 3 pretty damn modern one's as well as a huge&capable tanker/resupply sub for the price of a LA\Akula\Virginia SSN's.

Either way the contractors love building SSN's and since the diesels are very competitive in coastal waters and plenty potent when running on battery anywhere else i fear the US contractors wont allow them built as the Navy might figure out that they are getting much more bang for their buck that way. When one adds the fact that these diesels could operate in groups of 3-4 ( same operating cost as single SSN) and network their sonar&other data ( as modern fighter do) i think the danger to convoy's and lone patrolling SSN's is pretty obvious.

The real advantage of the USN is that they can afford to operate many more SSN's than most nations can afford even in Diesel's but that also explains why superpowers can inflict such vastly disproportionate casualties.

For starters, "hearing" a submarine, whether it be with sonar or listening devices placed on the ocean floor, is only one way of detecting them so your assertion that they are un-trackable black holes is somewhat flawed to say the least.

For instance, when submarines move east or west, they can be tracked with satellites that can detect disturbances in the earth's magnetic field.

With respect to President Obama being in favor of reducing the world's nuclear arsenals, I have to ask you; "How many nuclear weapons are enough to quell your fear of being attacked?" "Is being able to destroy the planet 2 or 3 times over enough, or do we need more?"

In the past I have seen many stories about Russian tech and how great it is. The funny part is as time passes it always ends up being a lie.

Don't get me wrong maybe just maybe they finally got something right. But if I was a betting man my money would not be on them.

when hearing reports of other countries about military capabilities, i usually ask, how does this propaganda help the military/industrial complex?

to justify nato's insane budget, one needs to beef up possible treaths.

i can't see anyone attacking the usa when they are in freefall economically.

patience is all that is required, soon nato will not be abel to afford their expensive military toys.

So, the Russians are still building u boats.
Like some one said it's good for coastal defence, against a second or third world opponent.
and if anyone thinks that the highly publicized events during highly publicized maneuvers represent a lack of capabilities within the USN, good for you for believing the disinformation.
Also as a boat(sub) moves through the water, it displaces the water, leaving a miniscule hump on the surface. This hump of water can be tracked by the gravitational disturbance it leaves. We have had the tech to track such things for more than twenty years.
Also Russian subs are notoriously poor quality, as evidenced by several well know accidents.
This will throw a little perspective into soviet era mfging, I used to work with a Russian immigrant, who was a machinist at a soviet aerospace plant through the 80's.
Work productivity was gaged by the amount of chips produced by each machinist.
So instead of counting the number of parts made, they weighed the amount of material waste(chips) generated by each machinist. If a part generated one kilo of chips, and at the end of the shift you made 100kilo of chips, then you made 100 parts, sounds reasonably ,yes?.
No not at all, so Yuri told me that at this plant, since workers were paid by the piece, many just machined blanks of Ti into chips and only produced a few actual parts per shift.
And since there was no way to keep up quotas and QC at the same time an nobody really counted parts to gage output, you just made a couple of good parts each shift and that kept QC off your back, and your chip production kept up with your quota.

So other countries aren't actually building and improving their military, it's just propaganda for the MIC.

Since when is the US the only country in the world that might be attacked? China is threatening their neighbors and grabbing at everything that has resources under it. Russia recently fought a conflict that taught them some of their equipment has huge flaws.

The Navy sponsored Polywell Fusion project has been notably very quiet lately. Thats pretty much the ideal warship power plant, if it can be made to work. I believe they call it the Advanced Gaeous Electrostatic Energy (AGEE) device these days and they were funded through 2013-14.

I've been following this for years as closely as public domain information allows. I think its going to make the ITER project redundant. I wonder if Greenpeace will thank the US DoD :-)

So other countries aren't actually building and improving their military, it's just propaganda for the MIC.

As compared to how the balance of power now stands? Yes, it's mostly propaganda and the US fighting machine is not in fact designed to fight a world war but to best police the third world and keep it in line for corporate globalization. As we have discussed in the past a US war machine built for national self defense could either be much higher tech or much lower tech and perhaps 10-20% of the current Pentagon budget having lost nothing of the nuclear deterrent capabilities as well as maintaining a navy at least as good as keeping the Atlantic and Pacific safe for vital US commercial activities.

Since when is the US the only country in the world that might be attacked?

It certainly behaves that way and seeing as how it's corporations are growing horrendously fat on extorting resources and cash from the third and developing world perhaps the fear is in fact justified. Perhaps you should go look at some Reagan era literature on why they thought a strong military will always be required to prevent the vast number of 'have not's from trying to become part of the haves". That is what the massive arms buildup has always been about and the reason empires keeps building up till they bankrupt themselves trying to keep their global system of ever more expensive oppression&suppression in place.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news.

China is threatening their neighbors and grabbing at everything that has resources under it.

And they are at the moment ( perhaps only because the US is so strong that they have to play mostly fairly by comparison) pretty much paying a good going price for what they are taking from the third and developing world; certainly so as in comparison to the western world has done and is still doing on a grand scale. Much of that wealth is then used to buy US dollars thus serving to keep the very system you suggest they are undermining in place. The Chinese may not like their current masters but their actions indicates to me at least that they know what can and would happen to their economy&country is they stopped serving the general western interest of providing cheap factory workers for western corporations.

Russia recently fought a conflict that taught them some of their equipment has huge flaws.

It pointed out that fighting civil type wars against men who have similar training and ways of thinking than you do with generally similar weapons is as big a bloody mess as civil wars/uprisings general are. It also showed that the Russian armed forces and it's men ( from the top down) do not really want to fight anyone in general and certainly not nominally other "Russians". Perhaps Russians will fight well on the defense or do well at a counter attack after hostile actions against them but generally speaking Russians mostly seem interested in gaining economic prosperity and living to enjoy it.

As comparison what do you think would happen if a given American state ( or part of it) decided to cede from the union from this that or whatever reason? Oh wait? That already happened and it was an epic bloodletting, right? Do you send strategic bombers to bomb american towns and cities when the locals ( with veterans providing a core) want to fight in every third street&house?

Either way it's not news and the super power of the time hardly ever gains respect for it's future enemies until it is too late.

Purportedly they want to FIRST--before releasing such tech--genocidally kill off all but 200-500 million globally because they are convinced that with virtually free unlimited and uncentralized power, the global population would mushroom to 25 BILLION overnight.

'They' do NOT want free and unlimited non centralized power and they will kill many more than 500 million to keep power centralized and firmly in their grip. They will pursue technologies that reinforces or secures more power and control over the worlds resources&people and will do their best to undermine and obscure technologies that would in the main empowers us. As for a rapidly growing population it's widely and well understood that economic prosperity massively reduces population growth especially in areas where there is simply no space for the excess population to go to. Religious and other convictions that slightly affect this but the major factor is the economic prosperity/education and liberty of women. If the world economy keeps going the way it currently is the worlds population will slowly keep increasing till perhaps 8 -10 billion but i doubt it will ever exceed 10 until the global economy is radically altered in ways that will actually free us from this current group of oppressors.

Also, they evidently want to have the other--stuff--the trackable ID chip implant (perhaps with remotely triggerable termination poison included when injected) and massive surveillance technologies firmly in place so that they have other total means of controlling individuals beyond centralized power distributions.

Off course they do? How else will you try to prevent the people you are extorting, raping&killing from ultimately figuring out what is going on or how to fight back? You MUST keep the local adminstrators in check and their education levels low and for those that you expect to enforce this system with violence you best have them id chipped and tracked for when they turn against you.

Ain't technology wonderful! . . . except when it isn't.

It depends entirely on who is controlling the direction of technological innovation as well as how it is applied in the commercial sphere. Technology is currently serving to further our submission to our current masters because they are so firmly in control of how we think and act trough these global propaganda networks we call advertising and religion.

I will get to your other, and much angrier, post later on. Sorry for upsetting you and i hope this attempt will not have quite the same effect. Suffice to say i have my doubts and hope i am wrong.

Cheers
Stellar
