This other dimension stuff is just mumbo-jumbo. All things have to obey the local physical laws. The need to add this pseudo-mystical explanation is an extreme wrong turn in ufology. Complete waste of time.

Lol... hahaha

You DO know that the motto here is 'Deny ignorance'.

What if something is not 'local'. Does it then have to obey the physics laws? Even if this something is not physical?

Calling something mumbo-jumbo just because you cannot comprehend the idea is ignorant IMHO!

Indeed, all those pseudoscientists that know it all usually know crap about the real world, all they know is the result of someone else's experiments, which are always relative to the current level of knowledge as observed by the human mind, but still that doesn't stop them from thinking it is an absolute reality, in all their mighty ignorance, we have a few of these pseudo scientist beings on ATS, all of them feel very proud of having too many arguments and recognition from people who can't really see beyond 2+2, but anyway...

OK Kaifan....

Jacques Vallee is a pseudoscientist (rolls eyes in sarcasm
). The same guy who was the first to map out mars, the co-developer of ARPANET (which later became the internet). Like you said, he "knows crap about the real world". LOL

Do you realize that your statement cannot be taken seriously? How old are you to make such a statement anyway. Do you even know who Jacques Vallee is? or what multidimensional visitation hypothesis is?

It would seem to me that you obviously havent looked into it, judging from you 2+2 example! Advanced physics and quantum theory are not as simple as 2+2, hence if you would have actually taken time to look at this theory rather than just exclude it, as well as Jacques Vallee, as psuedoscience, you wouldnt have used such an example.

While Jacques is not a pseudo-scientist, he is not a co-developer of ARPANET either, that pre-dates him by a few years.

That not withstanding; his ideas on "extra dimensional" existence have little to no merit.

I was pondering over something I just read in relation to the apparent fact that many humans on this planet have either seen or believe in UFOs, or know someone who has encountered one... With this in mind, I ask the question: why don't we have a definitive answer yet??

If aliens are observing us at present, and up to this point have refused to make significant contact with the human race what are the explanations. These are the ones I just came up with as I wrote this thread.

1. There is no such thing as ET and what many have recorded and claimed to see are in fact natural
phenomenon that can be explained with science.

2. Aliens are observing us, yet are staying hidden because:
a) They know how the human race reacts in confrontation with anything foreign and how cross-cultural interactions have been played throughout history.
b) They want to see how humans evolve without a superior species messing with a natural progression
c) The human race is their creation/experiment and to involve themselves is to ruin the experiment
d) They are learning everything about us to either kill us, enslave us or know how to interact with us.

3. They have made contact with world leaders/Illuminati/TPTB etc. and they are:
a) in cahoots with them
b) They know disclosure would dismantle the establishment

4. ET is really the human race in the future who have developed time travel and they cannot interact with the present 'us' without influencing 'them'.

5. Aliens are trans-dimensional beings/ spiritual beings that have limited agency over this realm of existence either by their own limitations or the limitations enforced by a Creator.

Let me know what you think ATS. Do you agree with one or many of them? Or do you have others? I'd like to know

Don't know why I decided to make this my first post after lurking here for so long, but I felt a strange compulsion to, so hopefully it yields some nice results.

What about the fact the aliens are already there, with us, but they such a high level of technology available to them, they are telepathic and with this technology they are able to make them look like humans when in truth they are not. That would be mind-boggling if true.

Truth is: Some extraterrestrials are indistinguishable from Terrestrial Humans. They are virtually identical in nearly every respect; even DNA is same.

Does that make us Human?

In mainstream science, Vallée is notable for co-developing the first computerized mapping of Mars for NASA and for his work at SRI International on the network information center for the ARPANET, a precursor to the modern Internet.

I'm sorry man, but Vallee's work with ARPANET happened between 1972 and 1976, according to your link. ARPANET has been around since the late 60's

No, I don't speak for everyone on the extra dimensional stuff; just for those with sense and logic. Also, the existence, or non-existence of other dimension is not a matter of opinion, it is a matter of science. I personally subscribe to the notion that there may be as many as 11 dimension. These dimension, however, are not what the "dimension" that is described and defined by new age thought and philosophy.

Indeed, my dimensions are "directions" at right angles to all others. I'm not familiar with Vallee's work, nor do I wish to be, however, when I see his work bantied around by new age types, I automatically presume his ideas are false.

I have an opinion. So i make a prediciton that is testable, then i carry out the test. That is called Science.

Question: When you have a prediction, opinion or explanation that due to its very nature is untestable, not least because our 5 senses are not enough, then how does our science, or even we as humans, measure or go about pondering this conundrum?

an example of this would be god/heaven/afterlife!

That was a legit question not trying to make a statement as i admit, im not educated in this science! but still think that is limited to our 5 senses!

I deeply believe we are hybrids, but the real thing is that it should be researched and publicized if true to the general public. The same thing goes with the reality of the soul, where are the scientific studies on it?

One day that will happen and everything will change that is for sure.

Close enough! In science your "opinion" is more like an "explanation", an idea that begins to explain something we have observed. Our bit of speculation "makes predictions" about how the universe is, so we design tests to "prove" the predictions.

I do not think there any truly "untestable" hypotheses. Everything is measurable, though, the methods may not be readily apparent.

I do not believe we should allow ourselves to be so limited, we all have more than the 5 base senses, perhaps we should learn to use them more effectively.

Bad examples; god is nothing more than a personal personification of the ALL. Heaven is a pleasant myth. And, the "afterlife" can be remembered (previous life memories).

Also, in modern science our senses are augmented with technology. This technology allow us to sense better, with greater sensitivity, and precision. The technology can also allow us to analyze the data we sense better; by arranging the data properly new and sometimes unexpected knowledge can be gained via correct data representations, and data mining.

Indeed, I think it is highly probable that some are "hybrids".

My theory: 8000 years ago or so, a group of extraterrestrials came to the Earth and set up colonies. These colonies were initially set up in ancient Egypt, Sumer, and India. These colonies thrived for a while and then started to "degrade". It appears that some were attacked and driven "back" and eventually from the Earth by Terrestrial Humans.

Many of the colonists left, many died, some were absorbed into the Human population, this resulted in "contamination" of the Terrestrial gene pool, and of course "hybrids". Others went underground, and have attempted to control the increasing Human population.

You are right; research needs to be done, and the truth learned.

I am denying ignorance by asking people to flesh out what Jacques Vallee means by 'extra dimensions'.

As quoted from above-

No, I don't speak for everyone on the extra dimensional stuff; just for those with sense and logic. He may aswell be saying these things come from heaven, it's all made up stuff on the back of a crisp packet.

Now if he adjusted it and said they possibly come from a parallel universe, another universe, okay, that starts to make more sense.

But in the end anything operating here has to obey the rules of this universe's physical laws.

And no matter if the 'aliens' come from another universe or ours, they are real entities with some physical presence.
So trying to wrap if in some mystical blanket of new age hippyishness is absolutely pointless.

Yes... everything you have said is pretty much true IMO.

And it still doesnt clash with other theories.

Do you believe in aliens then?

Im not being funny with what im about to ask you......... but the reason i ask is, you seem to 'know' rather than 'guess' at certain things, so here goes... are you an alien?

Do I believe in aliens? Yes absolutely, I believe in extraterrestrials as well.

The answer to that is difficult, but, not for logical or scientific reasons, but rather social ones. So...I'm answering this way...

I do a great deal of research. I am a semi-retired Electrical Engineer / Computer Scientist that has discovered and attempted to develop some rather "different" senses with in myself. I discovered, long ago that I had telepathic abilities, remote viewing, precognitive, and predictive skills / abilities. I've tried to develop these and utilize them. I've had some success.

Much of what I "seem" to know is the result of, shall we say; "Extended sensory Research". In other words; I've attempted to "look" into space and "see" ET, and his machines. I've attempted to communicate telepathically. I've also spent a life time studying science; physics, computers, biology, mathematics. I've been required to use "parts" from all of these sciences in my career. In addition I have studied the "Occult", specifically Western Ceremonial Magick. So, I have a rather well rounded "education".

Well, how old are you, and why do you believe that age has anything to do with knowledge? by the way, he would be an example or a real scientist, it is obvious you didn't understand what i meant, you misunderstood and went all out defending your beliefs, most "pseudo scientists" i'm referring to, are those who don't know and are unable to figure out by themselves and just repeat what they are thought at school and that's it, by my own definition he would be a real scientist, given that he discovered and actually learned by himself, did you miss that reading comprehension class or what?

Do you realize that your statement cannot be taken seriously since you are unable to identify the true meaning of someone saying "2+2"? you're obviously a bit stuck on your way of thinking, need to work on that flexibility you know? i could be 15, or 20, or 40 or more, who knows, for all you know you could be talking to a NASA scientist here, it doesn't mater at all because you have clearly missed the meaning of everything i said.
