Great song, cool vid. Am I the only one posting songs that aren't a decade old?!

Not complaining, but I wanna hear some new stuff!

Evening,

You're not going to believe this but after searching through a library of music somewhere in the neighborhood of 15K songs, I have apparently discovered (much to my suprise) that I don't do "new".
This is as close as I can come to hitting that target...

Veruca Salt is the newest you have?!?! Haha it's okay, I still dig it. I just have the feeling that posters on this thread don't think love songs can exist unless they are more than 15 years old. C'mon now!

I have been listening to most of the songs posted here, however. I'm not such a big snob as to think that I'm all knowing in the ways of love songs. I was just thinking I'd get some new music that I'd never heard and be like "Where has this song been all my life?!"

Maybe I'm setting my sights too high.

Anyways, here's a little ditty from Nebraska band The Good Life. The song is Album of The Year. I think it's a love song, you tell me.

I swear dude...I have been up and down my music library four times now for something more recent than Eight Arms To Hold You but the handful of songs on my drive that date to post 9-11 aren't love songs at all...most of which would be inappropriate for even a Death Metal thread.
(Anyone who has seen RockB***h knows exactly what I am refering to. Best live show I ever saw with mosh pitting at Gwar running a close second!)
Appologies for not only having no recent music for you but for mentioning those two other bands in the first place.

Now, to post some more musty dusty's from the 80's.
Anyone here ever heard of a band called ABC?

Hahaha it's alright. I enjoy the oldies. Hell I was raised on them. Thank god for the vinyl my parents had!

Here's another newer one. Love me some Portugal. The Man

And also, gwar is awesome. You like the residents?

Here's an 80's sounding band from within the last few years. I dig em a lot.

I like who they are trying to copy.
(That would be Frank Zappa.)
Joe's Garage always was one of my favorites but with Frank it's impossible to nail him down to one definitive song or sound.

One last post before the Sandman makes a visit.
If we're gonna go out with the cheesy 80's...I choose this one:

All I can think about poor Jermaine is:

"Who do you think you are kidding? We all know you're really singing about a guy!"

Hahahahaha. I will have to re familiarize myself with zappas music. The residents alway intrigued me though. So off the wall, I know frank zappas a weird one too. Cheers.

Here's another "love" song. Or is it an anti love song?

Man . . . that song was bad . . . and not like 80's "bad" but just awful . . . Hahaha, sweet beat though.

I think this thread is getting derailed hahaha

Evening,

Suzanne Vega.
I always liked the Go-Go's but my favorite Suzy tune isn't a love song.
At least I don't think it is...

-Peace-

I definitely think it is a love song in an abstract, psychological or higher dimensional kind of way...

When I stayed in Liverpool for weeks on end, I don't recall any quiet Sundays, lol. YNWA

I'm not understanding your Go-Go's reference? ( insert confused look )

Cheers!

Only clued in just now.
Don't ask me how but I confused Suzy for Jane Wiedlin.
Oops.

Morning,

I went out and found something that was released post 9-11.
(You'll probably hate it.)

I didn't completely hate it! The beat was pretty sweet.

Pulling out all the stops here.

Very nice selection.
Two thumbs up.

Doesn't matter what I post next...it'll be relatively old.

Lost Love still counts so I'll go with Madge:

I normally don't listen to a lot of female singers/bands. I liked that though! Thanks for posting it.

Here's one woman that I really like. Chan Marshall is freaking beautiful.

Just found this awesome version of this song, too!

One more before the Sandman cometh.
I think I'll go with Miss Myles...
