Morning,

Religious people can't be reasoned out of their position with facts because religion wasn't inflicted upon them with reason & facts in the first place.
You are wasting your time...but it is your time to waste.

-Peace-

I'm not religious so reason with me.
What facts ?

Mm, according to Paulides (again), the Oklahoma-Arkansas border area has a noted cluster of strange disappearances. Between 1999 and 2009, six people have disappeared in this area (counting the Jamison family). Other names to look at are Ernest Matthew Cook, Gloria McDonald, and Christopher L. Jones.

You don't understand.
The burden of proof here doesn't lie on the person who says something isn't true.
The burden of proof lies upon the person who claims it IS true.
You say demons are real...fine.
Proof please that doesn't originate from the Vatican or biblical text and is credible...preferably from an accredited scientist.
Have any?
You're claiming Evil Dead is a documentary...you gotta have at least ONE irrefutable fact on this to hold such a radical view on reality.

-Peace-

I did ? Show me where ? You spouted about facts. I'm sure you had them in mind
when you said that. So why are you evading a simple task ?

I understand perfectly.

I see!
Those kinds of demons are very real and well documented.
I'm leaning more toward the farming kind of demon though.

Good find. As mentioned earlier there are a couple of cults in those parts. At work now but later tonight I will post some info on them.

I'm very doubtful that this is cult-related. For one thing, the hysteria over cult murders is hugely overblown, as a rule they're more dangerous to themselves than others. And again, if it was something like that, why not take the truck to hide it, or the money?

I don't need facts to know demons aren't real the same way I don't need facts to know Bugs Bunny is a cartoon. I'd say come back to reality but I fear the next thing you'll tell me is David Icke's reptillians exist.

Oh sure. That's why Duke University had during the 70s and may still have a department that did actual research on demon possession with real live demon possessed people to study. I happen to know of a specific case. Let me tell you they understood it wasn't a joke.

Then why hasn't it been substanciated, recognized and formally announced by at least ONE accredited atheist scientist?
JUST ONE...I made it SO easy for you.
Could it be because anyone making such an unsubstanciated claim would be considered a laughing stock in the scientific community?
It's okay...I'll wait.

Hoax? So this family didn't die? Ive stated several times I believe it was murder/ suicide or some nutter cult. The only reason I mentioned demons was due to the fathers inquiries to the pastor about what type of bullets kill demons. If this thread upsets you so much then please by all means dont post anymore and please accept my sincere apology for upsetting you.

I believe that Negative Energies exist, and that can cause very awful things to happen. What I really mean is demons in a classical sense (that of fallen angels condemned to Hell) I don't believe. These negative energies I believe come from another dimension next to ours or are simply very bad people who are stuck on this plane after death. Even some land divas are misconstrued as demons. But I don't believe that God condemns any of his creations, especially angels who weren't given freewill, so in essence, they could NOT have fallen, why? Cause they have no choice, because they weren't granted freewill if you believe the Bible's premise of the fight to begin with. Aside from that, do I think these negative energies could be responsible for the deaths, there's a possibility because they can take advantage of the medical issues to use to their advantage, especially untreated mental illness, but that's only because he already had issues. Normally they aren't able to do such. But, in this case we'll never know for sure, because nobody was there.

But they cannot possess him. Possession is a complete fallacy. All they can do is drive the person crazier, and cause hallucinations. So it probably went something like this : They made him think that his family were monsters, or plotting against him, or even trying to kill him. He defended against the threat and as soon as he killed them, he saw everything normal again (cause the negative energy has succeeded in what it wanted to do) And seeing the truth he was overwhelmed with grief and killed himself. That may have happened but we have no evidence to support it, so given that information, I have to say he probably just went crazy and told his family to stay out of the car and sit there in the cold dying of the elements for whatever reason. Maybe he was afraid the dog was a monster or hallucinated there were things unholy in the truck, whatever. Which could be caused by the negative energies or by his mental condition, nobody knows nobody is inside his head.

Well I screwed that up. What I meant to say was in my opinion it was a religious cult or a drug deal gone bad. Speaking of witches, this message was found written by victim's house. "3 cats killed to date buy people in this area. Witches don't like there black cat killed."

Yes I would kill someone if they killed my black cats. But not by supernatural ways, but more mundane ways (besides I can't do it supernaturally) and I've been studying 21 + years but also I don't try to harm people that way because of the creed "Do what ye will but harm none lest it return threefold".

It may be hard to understand, but its not to those who do, that a place like Duke isn't going to publically announce "hay demons and poltergeists are real". But to the private world that deals with such things their private opinion is not what you will get for the public consumption. Duke isn't going to subject itself to the sort of public ridicule that one finds on ATS. More specifically the PHDs that worked on cases are not going to subject themselves to ad hoc media and public opinion massacre.
