Clap your hands, go to have a poop, scr.w your missis, get hit by a bus, drown!

And we are not physical beings! Just HP's. The theory is just that and without merit in my Im not an HP view!

We might not matter in the whole scheme of things (whatever we are or wherever we originated from but we are MATTER!

Matter .. energy.. more semantics than anything.. especially now
that the Higg's Boson has been found.. pull out that one particle
and the field responsible for it.. and the great majority of 'matter'
vanishes instantly.

I'd say that science is heading in directions that are far more 'crazy'
than anything I can write about.

Well it has been found. Matter is a fact and the magnetism of the aether holds it together. Tesla knew this. Free energy will be here soon. Everything has energy, mass, magnetism.

I have read some wonderful post of yours but to hear this and you did go through childbirth lol. She definitely had mass or was that pain imaginary. I have a very open mind but some things are just silly and thinking we don't have mass is one of them I choose to believe I just don't think I am understanding what you are saying.

Please dumb it down for me. Lol

Of course we have friggin' mass. I'm with ya' bot! Ever give a "shaman" noogies? He says, "Ouch!" Simple really.

But let's forget that for a second and play along.

Since we are being held to the flame of, ahem, empirical science, I suggest we stick to the those basic caveman understandings and principles for just a moment.

Science, with a big "S" is all about some materialism is it not? Evolution, matter, yada, yada...

On the other hand, Science, with a big "S," often relies on "models."

Here's where we might lose a few of the "high I.Q." ignorants. No offense.

Okay "S"cientists: BOO! Consciousness! That immaterial, weightless, massless, "I think therefore I am" phenomenon responsible for the history of society and ALL achievement, the Pyramids etcetera, etcetera, and thusly ALL of the piecemeal and poorly understood physics and laughable science books as well. Ahem. Does consciousness have a model, too?

How does the material produce the greatest and most least-explained-by-science massless phenomenon humankind has ever known?

Just shut up and sit down and refrain from embarrassing yourself, Mr/Mrs Science.

No! Actually science (or Science) is a set of procedures, protocols, methods for deriving truth.

It is only through these proven protocols that truth can be confirmed.

I understand your point...and your confusion...however, physics is in disarray and no one has a model of the mind yet let alone "consciousness." Excuse me if I don't wait for moribund science to tell me what it doesn't know.

If you understood my point, then you should also know I have no "confusion" in this regard.

I am very aware of what science doesn't know; are you aware of how much it does?

Many things that most people "think" science doesn't know, science actually does. Most of what people "think" science is hiding; science isn't.

By the way; science will not likely ever "map" consciousness. In what way/manner is physics in disarray? I understand how it might seem that way, especially to a non-physicist.

Sounds like you're the close-minded one. Funny how that is. But hardly surprising. You like so many people stop listening at the "how we know what we know" part of science and jump at the "well we don't know everything yet but that is no reason to invoke, magick, demons, or spirit beings from the Pleiades."

And I assure you physics is not in disarray and I can point you to plenty of theories on consciousness. Peer-reviewed ones to boot.

Very well said.

And the idea of consciousness is a bit like the idea of the "missing link". We've moved on from both.

Consciousness is not a force, it is an act.

The subject belongs in philosophy rather than hard science anyway.

Yes, it stumps the heck out of science. Glad to see you coming around.

Science often seems to forget that it sprang from philosophy and, in the opinion of many, will always be "one-legged" until metaphysics and science once again meet.

Luckily, some scientists get that.

Here...your "bridge" between Physics (science) and Metaphysics

Paper 1
Paper 2

The biggest reason there is a split between physics and metaphysics is the people involved; neither side desires to recognize and give credit to the other. This makes both wrong.

You should understand that the whole of everything resides squarely in BOTH worlds, and may be viewed "correctly" from either side.

Now You have "earned" Your 'star' (I'm going to click above Your name, this will be the first 'star' I'm "awarding" whilst My time spent of ATS™)

I'm 'awarding' this star for You admitting You were "incorrect" and instead of arguing or typing in CAPS, You apologized. If more folks did what You just did, more folks would have the 'wind at their back'...

Yeah, I know BFD, some guy sitting around in His 'funda-wear' awarded His 'first star' after 2.5 months... AnyBody can do a quick * ...

Kudos!
