Unless one can show that woman was complaining BECAUSE she was an "African American", "African American" shouldn't even be included in that statement.

Some people are never satisfied.

While true, that has nothing to do with one's ethnicity. That is ONLY caused by one's own selfishness.

I'm betting pretty tired of rich and famous people using their race to paint themselves and their political allies as victims in all this.

I can tell you with a lot of certainty that 95% of Americans don't give a damn what the color of your skin is.

Then again, Oprah's job is to support the President. That's the job of every major celebrity he's made friends with since taking office. More so, had he never gained the title of POTUS, these people would never have given him the time of day.

They're all a bunch of hypocrites to interject in to political and social conversations where they should really just stay out of it.

Oprah has made a career out of exploiting people for her own monetary gain through her TV show and subsequent network. She's more to blame for the on going problem of racism in American than any white person is.

I personally don't believe this, at least not completely. I know, racism certainly still abounds in our country; but I have to give a great big UP YOURS to Oprah for this comment, for playing the race card in this case. The country is not racist because it doesn't believe in this bungling president, that I made the mistake of voting for in 2008. I could NOT in good conscience vote for him in 2012. He has bungled SO many things, had so many wonderful opportunities, to do AMAZING GOOD, but chose instead to become an illuminati puppet. I don't believe he's a stupid man. A controlled one, yes indeed! But Washington in general are all so corrupted and greedy, and just lining their pockets as fast as they can while in office. Washington is broken. Lobbyists BRIBE and PAY our sitting Congressmen and Senators to cast their votes in BIG BUSINESS's favor. Like they don't have enough already! I mean big business. Apparently, making a couple hundred thousand a year isn't good enough anymore. But I digress.

America, Ms. Winfrey, is PISSED OFF AS HELL, by Obama's lax approach to the presidency, and Freaking FURIOUS over the lies that were told regarding this fiasco called Obamacare, which has caused untold MILLIONS of Americans to lose their health policies for a POS plan that costs double and even triple in some cases.

So I must say how stupid it was for you to come forward now, Ms. Winfrey, and proclaim that we are all racist, because we are not buying the book, OR the B.S. that this lying liar and the fraud he perpetrated against this country so he can get rich off the kickbacks he stands to receive from all of these wicked insurance companies. But being a billionaire, as you are, Ms. Winfrey, you would no longer be able to have empathy for the pain and suffering Barack Obama has inflicted on the American people. I'm sure there is a dark pit in hell awaiting those who purposely mislead and harm the people that they have been elected to govern and not harm. So yes, I find this completely ludicrous on your part to have stepped in and put your foot in it.

If Barry Soetero, or whoever he is, can't stand the heat, he should not have run for public office.

Her short statement reveals a lot about her. I'll reproduce it here so I can better explain.

"There’s a level of disrespect for the office that occurs. And that occurs in some cases and maybe even many cases because he’s African American. There’s no question about that and it’s the kind of thing nobody ever says but everybody’s thinking it."

First things first Oprah. Her outlook on the Office of the President is backwards. The people have no obligation to respect the office. The president is not a monarch. The office is an elected position. The person elected to that office is not "special". As such, the actions of the person in office are what should determine the level of respect for the Office of the President and the president himself. In fact, that office is supposed to have a certain level of respect for the people of the nation. From what I have seen in the past 20 years there is little to no respect, even disrespect, from the Office of the President towards the people.

I never knew you were a closet racist Oprah. The second and third sentences she uttered certainly suggest it. She assumes that some or many cases of criticism toward the Office of the President are because of his skin color. She assumes that some or many cases of questioning the judgment or actions of the Office of the President are due to his skin color. Hell, Mr. Obama is a biracial individual for Pete's sake! I guess what she is saying is that some or many people have disrespect for half of the Office of the President.

At one point in the interview she mentions people who are terrorized due to the color of their skin. That is a fact even today. It does happen and it should not but, her closet racism shows when she says:

"are there still places where people are terrorized because of the color of their skin..[slight pause]..because of the color of their black skin..yes."

I was with her and agreeing with what she was saying until she made that distinction. She then goes on to mention some scenes from the movie "The Butler", apartheid in South Africa and her own experiences in the South. Then she says this:

"There are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die!" -Oprah

Well well well Oprah. It seems you have the final solution all worked out. Racism will never die due to a myriad of reasons. One reason being the tribal outlook by Oprah; looking out for her own kind of people and the rest be damned.

If he wasnt half black his approval rating would have been under 20 percent given all his mistakes and poor leadership. The 39 percent seems to be real racist crowd.

Oprah wasnt this bad before. I remember her bashing bush for good reason. But I guess selective enforcement of morals and ethics is common with some people.

That's SERIOUSLY true. Middle class white America is who buys her crappy magazine and is who watched that self-tribute TV show of hers. They made her rich. I'd bet a box of donuts she wouldnt' have the lady balls to expose her own racism here in the USA like that ....tell the audience that the older white people HAVE TO DIE and then racism will magically end (all the while ignoring racist black people).

Racism is also supporting someone with 39% ONLY BECAUSE THEY ARE BLACK even though they have done a horrible job. And as far as Oprah goes...she can go to hell. She is nothing but an ugly, fat racist.

The more I watch, read and learn about what is really going on, the more 2012 and an Anti-Christ seem believable. When did Obama's second term begin? And what was the belief about an Anti-Christ? I am starting to see the USA falling, an end to the world being possible, a change in the world and an evil that has gained power only through lies and deceit. I can more easily believe in the "number of the beast" or at least a device or branding that fits that passage.

But forget all that. This ass-hat and his minions have to go.

I've been avoiding coming to this thread because for the area i live in, there's a lot of truth to what she said. I can only speak for the area I live in, and not for the rest of the country.

As for the reasons I don't like Obama? He's a sell out piece of sh*t just like the last president we had.

Why do you feel it's important for us to know "that the woman who complained about having to pay taxes and registration fees was Afro-American"?

Unless one wants to make that an issue about race, the term "Afro-American" has no importance and, therefore, shouldn't have been included in your statement.

You seem to feel that not being White is a "fault". That's a bit racist, don't you think?
