Chill out folks

We perhaps should be tolerant of folks’ beliefs and disbeliefs on this topic
Sermon over

Not some ugly truth:

What may be more important than who they are is what they are here for.
One thing leads to another of course

My take is simply that the visitors are primarily interested in the nuclear bombs that if set off could destroy the solar system

Since we have had these foul monstrosities since 1945, favor of the great postmodern wonderful scientific technological age many are so proud of, we have become use to them.

Like becoming use to serial killers and presidents and politicians

Sometimes the truth is obvious and doesn’t have any deep undercover meaning other than what is apparent

Are they devils, gods, angels, spirits, time travelers?

They may be some and such an aspect of all of these things and more. But what they may be above all of that, indeed far and above anything, is interested in preventing a mad serial killing, war mongering, violent, child murderer and rapist, environment destroying, watcher of unnecessary starvation, disease and final solutions---that is the MODERN HUMAN

FROM BLOWING UP A GOOD PART OF THE UNIVERSE!

I think that is an important reason for showing up
Don’t you?

Ummmm....with all due respect, we humans have not developed anything that can blow up a planet, let alone the entire solar system or a "good part of the universe". If these alleged visitors are so advanced, and eons ahead of us intellectually and scientifically, they should know that fact already.

Can you enlighten me to this part of your post!......

"Sometimes the truth is obvious and doesn't have any deep undercover meaning other
than what is apparent"

I fail to see what is obvious or apparent. I have seen no proof ... only hearsay
Please tell ....

It’s not apparent to you that humankind is in mortal danger of destroying himself.

If that be the case I doubt these Aliyins would visit us to play tennis and see how the flowers grow.

Oh you’re right it won’t be that bad if only the earth is destroyed, and all the people are dead.
Russia and US have 26, 000 nukes alone.
edit on 11-11-2013 by Willtell because: (no reason given)

I always thought a debate was for people of differing opinions. So that they

could air a different point of view ,exchanging views, producing facts and reasons ...

and maybe if they had a strong enough argument change the mind of the other

person?

Nice visuals by the way!

Now that response was a Red Herring. Can we stay on-topic please. It is this unwavering refusal to provide real evidence for an non-Earth visitation that keeps this from being resolved, IMO. At this point, there is just too much $$ and personal egos involved in the alien connection for it to ever go away......unfortunately.

Sad really.

As for money…well that the life blood of our capitalist system

It drives it

Men like Good and Vallee write books and make money--that’s the system. Hopefully that material will have its degree of truth and information to enlighten some.

The Government has no dedication to the truth or population, I’m sure you see that; therefore have no inclination to be truthful with the people. They are a self-perpetuating system of privilege and power. If Roswell or any of these events were legit the gov won’t say cause it would admit it is powerless. And governments are all about power.

But as for proof from the Visitors
Well…I’m sure you understand that humans are a dangerous lot.
They give as much proof as they feel is safe for them and I don’t blame them.

The GUT

Roswell was--once-upon-a-time--of great interest to me, but a close look sheds much doubt on the story and seems to suggest, imo, more myth than E.T.

What about Two weeks before the Roswell ?. Your "imo" suddenly is becoming very weak.

Welcome to reality!

Roswell, like Rendlesham is fictitious. It's all about recognition.

As he says "It is obvious to me"

That is one mans opinion not a statement of facts

Chill out bro. It's just too many incidents to deny the reality of UFOs.
The question now before us is why.
I wouldn’t care to or am not interested in proselytizing you or anyone else about this.

I learned a long time ago these truths:

What one man consumes another regurgitates

Also

The blind and the seeing are not alike

Peace

Does that mean if I said to you I was living with an 'alien' or that I had had a child

with an ET. swore it was true enlarged on the experience but would not provide any

proof you would believe me?

LOL ... I wouldn't want you in the jury if I was innocent and on trial!

Of course not. The overall evidence: mass sightings, personal stories, pilots etc…
As well personal insight also carries a lot of weight
But this is not my intent to do, I‘m not into persuading people of anything other than to love your neighbor
Alien or not

Well if you think bankers are good and that there is no cover up involved, its easy to see why there is also no evidence to be found. Its only "evidence" for you and krakatoa when the government provides it. The same government that is corrupt in everything.

Its called circular dellusional logic. It would have been easier to just say "I dont want to believe and will use all kinds of mental gymnastics to make everyone else not believe either".

People who want knowledge about something will indeed examine everything. But in the end it doesnt matter because I will always be a believer and you will always be a skeptic. I dont demand evidence from others, I find it myself. Yes I am very biased, just like you are, but in the opposite direction. Don't you love freedom?

The GUT:

I fully believe in an anomalous non-human intelligence behind a small percentage of UFO accounts. I'm not a hardcore skeptic.

With this thread and your other one on MI-LABs you have created two interesting threads of viable questioning. As you know, the UFO subject and its attendant tangential off-shoots are full of disinformation, Roswell was no different, and of course, your own two threads just help to stir the waters into murky cloud.

Those of us whom bother to pursue the subject in passive form, by watching the documentaries and reading the books, have to discern for ourselves the validity of the information we come across. Part of that discerning process will be influenced by our own bias for what we want the subject to be...either extraterrestrial, terrestrial, or a combination of both.

A number of credible UFO investigators believe that Roswell was indeed extraterrestrial, but that it was not the first. Roswell became the more famous due to initial innocent errors made by the military themselves stating that they had retrieved parts of a downed flying saucer, but quickly retracted this statement on orders from high with a cover story which decades later would be proven to be the first step in the establishment of policy to cover up, not just Roswell, but for all things UFO that were to follow.

The cover up policy has been exceptionally successful. The use of menace and threat, the use of ridicule, the use of disinformation incorporating both truth and lie in the same sentence, have served to ensure that the subject of extraterrestrial visitation and their observation and examination of all life forms on Earth (but primarily human examination) remained clouded and fogged and on the cusp of fantasy. In this way, you can hide your subject in plain sight, and one can act with almost impunity against your own citizens for whatever purpose deemed necessary.

Whatever your own thoughts on the subject, it is a fascinating and often disturbing subject. We also know that all the three letter agencies of civil and military defences need for us to feel constantly under threat as it validates their existence and funding, but at the same time, they have become quite rogue and unaccountable at times, acting sometimes outside of moral and ethical restrictions and frameworks.

I choose to accept an extraterrestrial presence here on earth, how wide spread and how deep it goes I cannot say. I make the choice as an informed passive one, based on one particular personal episode, and on all the media information I have sought out over the many decades I have held interest in the subject. It is not a fixed conclusion I hold, but one of flux. Like everyone else interested in the subject, I await incontrovertible evidence to verify or fully rebut the subject.
