Do you have an article or something on this Kano? I only ask because that would be a totally idiotic thing for the Israelis to do. They want peace, and I don't think genocide is going to do the job.

Isreal wouldn't have to "defend herself" if "she" ended the occupation, settlements, and allowed for a palestinian state. there is really no other long term solution to their terrorism problem that doesn't involve genocide. an independant palestine would turn the palestinian population away from terrorism. right now, the palestinians have no future. give a people a future and they will stop supporting terrorism but as long as isreal's government is acting like Hamas or Hezballah (killing indiscrimately) the people will support terror because their innocent are dying too. that's justification, just as you justify isreal's violence by body count, the palestinian people justify Hamas' the same way.

you can only kill revolutionaries, you can't kill a revolution with reactionary violence. using these tactics for everyone isreal kills they grow the numbers that align themselves against them. there has to be a forseeable positive conclusion to get the people to turn away from revolting. in other words you have to appear better than the enemy not just like them.

but, that's if they want to stop the killing not use hate to be re-elected.

Isreal has offerd peace and Palestinin state and Arafat alway's refuse's.At htis point in time the bloodshed is on Palestines hands, not Isreal.

I saw it on 60 Minutes or a similar program the other week MM. It was about the Israeli soldiers refusing to serve in the occupied territories. (called themselves refuseniks, or something similarly lame). They interviewed a stack of current and former officers in the Israeli army, and had a little bit about an organisation (peace corp?) made up mainly of retired Israeli generals and Intelligence agents and the like. Who were advocating the only real way that Israel can find peace by its own means is to leave the territories. A few different guys said pretty much the same thing about the genocide issue, one of them was the Ex 2IC of the Mossad.

There was also something about these guys trying to get a million Israeli signatures calling for the army to leave the territories. The settlers are the Israeli extremists, the civilians of Israel in general no longer seem to care all that much about keeping them there. The 7000 or so settlers, require about the same number of soldiers to guard them, and cost the israeli's something like US$3Billion per year to protect.

The right way for it to end is for the palestinians to cease their attacks, but the only way Israel can end it militarily is to leave the territories, kill all the palestinians, or drive them all out of the territories. You just can't hold a civilian population under the thumb for any amount of time, the bombers will just keep on coming.

Where did you get a death toll of 6000?

Last I heard it was like 2883 or something like that.Even count all the passengers and the terrorists it doesn't come to 6000. Did I miss something.

I think the best most efficient way to handle the problem over in the Middle Easy would be to flush the Palestinian�s out of the Gaza Strip and West Bank. In my opinion, those Palestinians aren't any better then those terrorists, and they need to get out of there for there to be peace.

I think this thread needs to seperate the facts from opinions.

Fact: If the israelis pulled out tomorrow there would be no stopping of the palestinian attacks. Arafat et al have made many pronouncements that they will not end until they 'regain' Jerusalem and destroy Israel. Palestinians do not want peace, they want the death of Israel.

Fact: Israelis are not in the occupied areas because they want to oppress the palestinians. They are theree to prevent attacks upon themselves and to draw fire from the terrorists instead of the civilians.

Fact: Israel has offered many times peace settlements that would have given the palestinians their own country, and they have refused it wanting instead the whole cake, not a share.

Fact: The intafada is a political movement bourne of Arafats desire to destroy Israel, not one of oppressed Palestinians rising up against the terrible Israelis.

Fact: no one else likes the Palestinians either, they have been driven out of Jordan, they have been denied a place in all other arabic countries, they are seen as political scapegoats for arab sentiments.


Opinion: Who the hell in their right mind would rather have the palestinians in control of the world than the Israelis? When they have shown their fanatical anti western and anti american stands?

To people who support the Palastinians, ... don't let your sympathy and middle class guilt for the crying mothers etc portrayed on the media blind you to the horrors their children have inflicted on western middle class people like yourselves.

I'm of African decent....but makes no matter, i don't think my class or race has anything to do with it--i'm not suffering from some sort of liberal guilt...nor am i influenced by anything on the "idiot box". history shows that once folk are given opportunity they turn away from destruction/violence and toward building/peace. history makes my "opinons" fact.

deny it all you want the palestinians are an oppressed people. being the pawn of many only highlights that fact.

Thats an interesting statement, but flush them out to where? As it has been stated, no arab nation will allow the Palestinians to move in with them. The palestinians are pawns on the global chessboard. And how would you suggest we flush them out? With smoke? Fire?

I worked for an extermination company back in the last century. We had to go to this produce warehouse where the rats had gotten out of control. Poison works to an extent, however, rats are smart enough, if they see rats dieing, they will send "tasters" out to try the food first. If the taster doesnt get sick, the rest will feed.

So the solution to rid the warehouse was to poison gas the building. The rats that scrambled out into the open, we shot with our .22's. A few rats may have escaped, but basically, the rat problem was solved.

However, it is not right to do that to human beings, even ones who thirst for blood, are insane, and dance in the streets when they see Americans dying.

By flushing them out I mean by sending thousands of troops into the West Bank and Gaza Strip and letting them go house to house and through the streets searching for Palestinian�s. The Palestinian�s will know to run, unless they become stupid and try to fight back, which they will be killed. If no one will take them just put them on boats and blow them up in the middle of the Ocean....

You realise that there are millions of Palestinians living in the occupied territories and only a few thousand Israelis living in the settlements.

Who are we murdering by the millions?The 5 American students in Isreal were in a study hall when they were killed.The people at the WTC were just doing there jobs when they were killed. If your talking about Afghanastan the majoriety of people killed were terrorists.And it certainly has not been millions.

It is a real shame, too, as the children suffer right along with the stupid adults. These kids do not have a chance to be kids.
I was watching the news earlier; they were showing a training camp for Palestinian youth. Instead of learning to camp out and tie knots and use a compass, though, they were taught how to kill Jews. The end of camp assignment was to build up a mock Jewish settlement and then burn it down.
The kids don't have a chance to escape the hatred.
