I just got a news update, according to the mayor the shooter is no longer at the mall.

FBI is there.

Anybody else find it odd that the feds swarm the scene on all these cases nowadays?

People are saying the news was making a story out of nothing? Hell did you even see the police presence at that mall? If you want to complain complain about DHS having Active Shooter response like that for a single security camera being shoot. Reminds me of the Boston Bombing. He used a bomb at a Marathon and nothing keep it a secret don't say anything or show pictures of the guy. He shoots one security guard and they call in over 9000 police to shut down Boston.

Maybe you should complain about DHS instead of the media.

Over 300 stores and 1.8 million square feet just inside.

Lots of nooks and crannies to search, that is for sure.

You figure at least minimum 3 people in each store, that is 900 civilians to check and release. Crazy logistics.

i've been waiting to hear if there was any robberies, you know jewelry stores or any thing of that kind of nature.
that was one of the first things that crossed my mind.

Seriously, what's going on with our generation? What happened to people that make them want to die like this, and bring others along the way?

This is becoming so recurrent that it is almost getting people to get bored about it and just doesn't care anymore.
This is wrong in so many ways, we cannot let these tragedies go on forever and pretend everything is fine with people.

People will NEED to WAKE UP one day or another.

Seems dumb since you're surrounded by police, even if they are preoccupied, or were.

"We've got 30 witnesses waiting for you in here". "Contact so and so on his cell". "So and so, what's your location?" "Second level headed towards door 7!"

This is ridiculous, do we even still have a shooter on scene? I heard them saying the cell is at the center of the mall, hasn't moved, start there and spread out?!

This is just not adding up, smells like mackerel!

Huge sigh indeed! So far the only med call I've heard on the scanners was for someone having problems with breathing, probably due to the anxiety of this situation. The people in that mall probably don't know much, but then again thank god for smart phones.

well i'm talking a little more substantial than shop lifting. something you wouldn't want seen, like a crew entering working on display case, and exiting.

Anyone who has done any homework at all is gonna know that they are gonna trace your cellphone.

The fact he took a cellphone in in the first place is odd.

Just another case of creating confusion.
Walk right into the mall with a cell. Go to the middle of the place (food court generally), start shooting cameras out, drop phone, drop jacket and back pack, slip out with the crowd in the chaos.

Now you've got an enormous police force sitting like ducks...OR you've got a diversion.

This isn't over IMO.

They will probably find the phone in a trash can in the middle of an active call to another phone in another trash can. Haha

Sounds like a planned and organized heist. Could be a possibility but you'd have to wonder what's worth stealing right now that's in NJ & worthy of this kind of distraction from authorities? Imo, if this is a distraction then the prize is not at the mall itself.

Ding, ding, ding!!!! Don't forget there is an "Anonymous" event tomorrow/today and the mall is writhe with teenagers/young adults who are all about Anarchy, it's so very envogue at the moment don't ya know? My 18 yr old son just told me tonight that he thinks the Million Mask March is a diversion for something MAJOR and he has his finger on the pulse of his generation.

As I keep saying, unfortunately, something wicked this way comes!

Vehicle being secured at this time...is it the only one left in the parking lot? Or maybe his roommate dropped him off...
