Lets stir things up a bit here. I am darn sick and tired of the well being of Americans being set aside by politics . Today, I Elouina propose a new party. A party that is half Democratic and half Republican. A middle line if this pleases you. A party of the people that wants to express their own feelings vs. the hard left or hard right. We can do this you know. It takes only one person with the right idea to set this in stone. It has now been done, are you game?

Think about it, all the bickering and childish games could end. This new party can be one of individual thoughts and expression. No having to suck up to the rigid thinking of harsh political programming. People that want to run for office, that don't want to pretend to lean in a particular direction. We can make progress vs. stonewalling.

Admit this. No one single person thinks like the doctrine of a particular party 100%. They just pretend, to win their way to the golden office of their choice.

So you say independent is what I am looking at? Well my friends, Independents have failed, as much as I hate to admit this. And we need a new modern way of getting to the means.

Today marks a monumental day for this is the day that Democrians have been formed. A party truly for the people.

And to the moderators, this is not a rant and this is not some stupid conspiracy. Any one with half a brain can see that our political parties are failing us. We need a middle ground that will appeal to everyone. I certainly don't think hard left or right, do you? Everyone else that feels the same as me, voice yourself now! We need to make this happen if this is what we want, and together.

Isn't that what you would have anyway if they never lied to you ? I don't see how it would be any different.

Edit, meaning if the republicans and the democrats joined forces. I propose a better plan, America meet the Burnthemalltothegroundians

We hang our pirate flag in defiance to the doctrine of evil perpetuated by parties that stand for unity in numbers vs. unity in thought and action.

LOL... the only ones that follow the Republican or Democratic doctrine to the book are those that are running for office and aim to please. Er um wake up, this is not what Americans wants. Think about it, who here has been ashamed by their parties actions recently? Admit it now... If not to us, then to yourself.

Lets be the UNITED states of America.

And while we are at it, lets place Bohner and Reed in a cockfight ring and let them fight it to the death. I personally want to have none of this.

We can create any party you want. The only requirement I have is that it strictly adhere to the Constitution. As this seems to be a huge stumbling block to both parties and even the centrists of each party I wouldn't support them. Libertarians seem to be the only ones who get this.

Number one, make it so. LOL... All kidding aside, I am totally serious here. I am tired of the bickering and I am tired of our constitutional rights being trampled.

Come on lets make this an ATS project. Totally serious here, no joke!

I'm willing. And I second Bassago's motion. It doesn't matter what you call it, just so that the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Amendments up the original 13th are the centerpiece....

I assure you the there would be no other way. Big hugs for the support. We all know this is what we need. And just so you all know, this is not all hot air. So what do I need to do to form this new party? I am new at this.
And since this is for the people, we need to work on this together. Well off to read up.
But we do need to join minds here.

PS. I am not running, but we do need some good candidates. Party does not matter.

You would have to make sure that Corporate Lobbying is banned, make extremely strict rules to uphold that law that would put fear into anyone who would even think of violating it. Corporate political contributions could make even this theoretical party fail. Otherwise, it sounds pretty good, but I'm sure there are a lot of other points that would have to be addressed before you could end the corruption once and for all.

How about calling it the constitutional party and dropping the whole demo-rep thing we need to remove they words from the lexicon, to me they represent horrible stuff that may stick to your shoe after walking through the park in the dark.

I read your first sentence and didn't need to read any further. Yes and yes!!!! Remember, we are creating this party as we type. This is a party of the people. Not one solely created by me.

Next sentence? Done!

Keep it coming folks!

Agreed, but... The thing is that we need to appeal to both democrats and the republicans, We can actually ride on the popularity and appeal of both. This is our only true chance of winning, Think about it, the support of both parties.

BUT, we must also be a part of both parties to succeed. A joining of hand of sorts.

Keep the ideas coming folks.

Buster2010 and Alienscience you are both my true arch nemesis. If we join together now, you will prove that this party truly could succeed! Will you join me as friends vs. foe? No clear cut party affiliations? Will you be our dove bearing an olive branch? i have extended mine, since I have no true enemies. Just those that I need to meet eye to eye with some day in the future? We both want the same thing, I am certain. A better America, with no wars between ourselves.

Ok this party needs a logo. Any suggestions? The olive branch seems to have significance. Any way to incorporate this with a hand or something else? I can almost see this already. Or has it been done? Deja vue!

One of the main running points of this party could be that it would be their goal to change the structure and implementation of the FDA.

If a company has a product that's been proven to safely and effectively cure a disease without significant side-effects, then it could be fast-track approved to get out to the millions of people who are sick and need it (reduce the cost of medical trials). It would get millions of people who are too sick to work into a position where they could. If they could allow cures for autoimmune diseases, and chronic illnesses that can end you up in the hospital easily it would be enough of a boon to the economy to get this country out of debt.

The biggest problem that I see with the FDA today is that there ARE companies out ther who have come up with ways of curing diseases in humans. The only reason that their products are not approved for the general public is because they usually have not raised enough money to complete the FDA's extreme reqirements, and once the company is about to fail their patented cures usually get bought out by a larger company and SHELVED.

That could be a strong voting point for the party.

As a side note: Go back to hand-written voting, and have 1 person to count and 2 people to watch!

Well, if this is what the people want then why should there be a problem? I say release all liabilities and let the people have their treatment. If they are dying anyways, what could it hurt? Common sense prevails here!

This brings up another idea. How about voting on every major issue for all Americans? Be it a black box in the home or via internet. The internet has taken over every other way of communication, why not this?

Why couldn't every American have an internet ID. One used for voting on crucial issues? If it comes down to voting for our every day rights then yes, maybe internet access should be a right. How much does it cost to run the polls? Get the votes out to where they should be. Don't own a computer? Then use your ID at the local library or until technology gets everyone connected, at the polls. But the point is, that every one has an internet ID to be entered when it is time to vote. This doesn't have to be knowingly connected to the voter. How about some encrypted code? This can be all figured out, I am certain.

Ok this is creepy. I have seen a logo of a hand holding an olive branch in the past. This is a good omen. Sorry folks, but this is our new logo. Wowza!

I will get this worked on ASAP!

You know what? That's a great idea! The only problem I see is the EnEssEhh could be the "man in the middle." You would have to ensure that the voting system was entirely encripted with the best encription available and point to point with no "man in the middle!"
