since when did they have a need to have them train amongst civilians to keep them on their toes?
Please...

Because realworld operational targets have changed.
It's not longer the jungles of Vietnam or warefare that is contained in nice and remote out of the way locations.
A sad reality.

Woops, better send combat troops patrolling around residential areas just in case massive terrorist armies roll up and start their terrorism...

Once again, please...

This is a combat outfit. when have "terrorists" ever supposedly attack this country en masse, armed, organized and dug in, where a whole fighting battalion Is needed for regular patrol?

I guess all of Boston being locked down with combat platoons rummaging through random trash recycle bins and ordering families out of their homes at gunpoint was an appropriate response to the "bombing". Right...

True. They could be training to fight the citizens of the US.

Agreed ..it is totally absurd to think of a scenario in the US where gunboats or really any boats would be required on US streets..

If it was just this one time, I might see your point. However, this is a regular thing now. Military special operations running insertion and recovery AIR operations in downtowns of our major cities (Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami-Dade twice now), actual machine guns firing on some of that (with blanks, of course).

We see VIPR teams throwing up road blocks, train platform block/search operations and more ...much more...

These are things that flat out didn't happen when I was growing up and most of my adult life too, for that matter. A Little Bird gunship, with miniguns turning in MIAMI?! No.... This is so absurd and beyond anything we should be tolerating, I don't know where to even start some days.

It's either getting us used to being in the Police State we aren't YET in...but sure seem headed to .. OR it's reckless disregard for the mental well being of the overall population.

We can even start going back to 2011 on up for major dates like Elenin, Dec 21st and others where the population is keyed about something ANYWAY ..and these brainiacs choose THAT moment for a big test or drill as publicly as possible with as much disruption as possible.

It's like the morons who let the Atomic test go during the Cuban Missile Crisis. It's nothing you can point to so specifically as to say Ah-HA! They are out to get us somehow!.. No.. Nothing that clear. It's absolutely real though and happening too often to laugh off, IMHO.

Yeah, I'm aware; that is the enemy that we must all be very afraid of nowadays, there everywhere and whatnot.

But are we in danger of being invaded by terrorist armies? Is the U.S. government on notice for this, and preparing accordingly? From what the MSM Is telling us, no. There are terrorists who (they say) want to come here and blow stuff up with people in it because of all the freedom and what not, but does that necessitate combat units patrolling in your back yard? Rummaging though your garbage bins? Making you get out of your house with rifles in your face? Ordering you face down onto the dirty floor despite YOU AND YOUR FAMILY are clearly unarmed, and not a threat?

Does this really make sense, and am effective use of personnel and money?

Does this all make sense to you?

Nothing I say is going to make you see the value of real world training or training in real scenarios..It happens in the IT world, in the medical world, in the financial world, in the military, in the first responder world ..

I get it..I get both sides of it..I 100% understand why you train for the real world this way..
I also understand your fear or concern over seeing it.

Did anyone look into it any, calling a local military liaison office to confirm that it was training or transportation to training?

As of today we do not have terrorists in command of neighborhoods. If the US would stop policing the world and making new enemies on a daily basis we won't see terrorists controlling US cities. With the border situation their entry won't be that difficult.

I suspect the government thinks the next enemy is the US citizen.

More than likely its something to do with Anti-Drug operations, this is peak marijuana season when many of the outdoor grows are being harvested and shipped throughout the country. Waterways are not excluded, lots of ATF vehicles on the interstates as well.

What about gang controlled neighborhoods? I count these thugs as domestic terrorist by the very definition.

I take issue with that. We have a terrorist organization running this entire country.

What else can you call it when they claim the right to murder American citizens without charges or trial?

What else can you call it when they drone-target a man for death, and then kill him and non-combatant men, women and children nearby? What do you call it when they murder the first-responders? What do you call it when they murder the funeral gathering?

This is state-sponsored terrorism. Nothing less, nothing more.

Well, they won't be fighting those terrorists since it is the home team.

They have had years to address that problem and they haven't. i don't expect them to do much about it.

You said that there are no terrorist controlled neighborhoods, I am arguing that statement not complaining that nothing is being done about it.

By terrorist, i was referring to the war on terror enemies we are suppose to be in fear of. If gangs are terrorists then there are plenty more criminals to add under that term. You can also add some businesses also.

I'm sure that they are probably enroute to the training location and the are not endangering civilians. I quite agree with Wrabbits response. The weapons should not have been mounted.

And you could look at it from the units perspective (though a bit twisted).

Lookee here, your tax dollars at work.

The boats belong to the US Navy's Special Boat Team 22. When I was getting my Captain's License I went to school with some of the guys on the team. I saw this on infowars earlier today so I made a phone call...

It was SBT 22... They were sight seeing...

I don't buy that for one second knowing those guys.

Here is what those boats do:

The guys I know on the team are pro-constitution and I will leave it at that.

Thanks for the clarification and effort to make a phone call in getting more.

Given what you learned, I feel better and I too, shall leave it there.

I don't think anyone is going to get hot lead there way, but given today's environment, and what tptb have planned, and the type of people they fill into the ranks of the military, just give them a reason, even the slightest... your ass is grass.

Sorry to sound dramatic or inflammatory, nut prove that if anybody even looks they are carrying a gun, they won't have the whole platoon with all barrels pointed at him his family, and his barking dog.
