What about a UK weather thread, we could post warnings and predictions and stuff. God knows we like our weather chat.

We could use it for all weather speak that does not need it's own thread and we could put pics up too.

I'm in South Wales, proving without doubt that I was an evil dictator in a previous life. I live on top of a freakin mountain and the clouds come in through the w indow.

It's not too bad here, 4 degrees C, one layer of PJ's and the w indow ajar lol, roll on the blizzards.

Thank you for all the avi and sig help, I feel more like ATS family now with my new look. Theres no rush on any of it. I like coming back to the thread and seeing all the new work, you guys put a lot in I have to say.

It's their loss if they don't visit I think. Saying that It took me a while to get mine. I was thinking of having a different avi for every writing comp from google images, then I wanted the one from a friend on another site. There is a lot to think about lol.

Sorry Jane but i just dont think a British topic board is really worth it, while we have our issues we cant expect our own board unless something changes/happens in our lands that takes a global focus.

I have to disagree, the board has USA/Other centric forums (not that we are wanting a forums) such as

2012 US Elections
World War Three (Ok that is tongue in cheek as they will cause it)
US Political Madness
Area 51
Japan
Middle East

According to your POV these should not be there either. You seem to be under the impression that ATS is only about events that affect the world and in my opinion that is NOT the case.

Whilst I do actually agree that perhaps we do not need a British forum the whole point of 'The British Library" is to collate threads on ATS that are of relevance and interest to those of these lands - and anyone else of course. It is not intended as a forum but as a reference.

As such it should be a useful tool it it takes off.

Lived in Aberdeen for 10 years in the 90's....bloody cold then too, although I do believe the temperature dropped a couple of degrees when I left....
