Calling all Brits!

Hell, I'm British and always posting, based in London, been part of the ATS family for a good few years now. nice to meet you all.

Y'alreet Marras! (Basically Hello friends in Cumbrian)

Tony here from Workington in Cumbria.

Been a lurker on ATS posting as guest since early in the century, finally signed up in 2008.

Not much of a conspiracy theorist, I just look at things logically and with a bit of common sense.

I'm more into astronomy and technology/sciences (and British banter threads), although I do keep an open mind.

Living in Cumbria has its perks, not to far from fells and lakes, beautiful scenery and lovely people, the only drawback is living about 20 miles from the worlds largest nuclear dump.

I come back as and when the funds permit unfortunately. I'll be over next year though, big 40 and my mum's throwing a party .. guess I can't miss that one !!

Not seeing many Irish in this thread because the majority would probably want their own meetup in Ireland because then they wouldn't have to fly

I'm Canadian born, but my mum was from Rotherham (near Sheffield) and my dad was from Leeds...a Yorkshire accent still brings a tear to my eye!
My ex-husband (and father of my kids) was from Liverpool.

My parents decided to move back to England when I was small, in the 70's. We travelled the entire country, but my father couldn't find work or a place to live, so we came back to Canada. I've been to Bournemouth (sp?), Scarborough, Blackpool....did you know that all roads lead to Worksop? It seemed that no matter where we were driving, there was always a sign pointing which way to Worksop. (It became a family meme, 'All roads lead to Worksop' lol).

If you do have a get together, someone bring a laptop....maybe I could Skype myself there?
