Jesus was apparently fine with the extreme poor, prostitutes, thieves
Charlatans murderers etc and never said a single word about
homosexuality in the New Testament...However, many of his followers
like to put words in his mouth and take actions I'm pretty sure he wouldn't .

Those people might self-identify as "christian" but their actions speak entirely to the contrary.

An embarassment to those who actually do their best to live by the actual teachings of Christ.

What has always ground my gears with persons who apply this conveinent double-standard within religious circles is that they always seem to use scripture to back up their own personal prejudices, rather than use those teachings to help grow and evolve as compassionate human beings....which was the whole point of Christs coming, teachings, death and ressurection.

The way I see it, it's just as bad as using the Lords name in vain.

One simply cannot can't call up Jesus as a magical talisman to justify behavior that goes contrary to his teachings....behavior of this nature makes me want to start smacking certain "christians" upside the head with the New Testament and start flipping tables.

Westboro is a VERY and I mean VERY rare breed of people, who if I saw burning I wouldn't even spit on them to put it out... I'm sure I'm not alone with that stance...

You should make a thread about Kaku and provide evidence for your allegations, Ill come read it.

Also I disagree about ideas, if it can be thought and shared its free game. Claiming false credit is dishonorable though I agree. I dont think Kaku took credit for the discovery, but rather just popularizing the idea with the public.

I may be mistaken though, make the thread.

Hm, very tempting. But I have other threads I'm working on for now...

But if you want I can tell you this: if you just study exactly what happens in Heisenberg's Principle, and then you check out Kaku's wild claims that matter cease to exist when you don't look at it (it should be all over youtube, probably with the keywords of Morgan Freeman's Through the Wormhole), you see a very big contrast.

Plus, multiverse theory kind of replaces the Copenhagen Interpretation, rendering Kaku's claim even less credible, since probability wave function never collapse in the first place, and thus resolves the Shrodinger paradox (which only exists on theoretical equation, and MUST NOT be assumed to be part of reality).

Had a nice meal in a nice place and had a great server.

Paid the food bill and the servers basic wage, but wouldn't tip for basically a completely unrelated thing?
Do they tip 40% for christian servers who are terrible?!
Disgusting behavior for a christian, wheres the human compassion and forgiveness?

Tell you what guys, religion does make for some crazy crazy perspectives in social interactions huh that should have no impact because if that guy either wasnt gay, or was gay but they didnt know - they would have tipped him like a "normal" guy.

You are a perfect example of a hypocrite using a fallacious argument called Special Pleading. Description of Special Pleading is a fallacy in which a person applies standards, principles, rules, etc. to others while taking herself (or those she has a special interest in) to be exempt, without providing adequate justification for the exemption. Westboro goes out of their way to make peoples lives miserable. When a soldier is killed and a family is grieving I'm not going to funeral to protest it with signs like "he's burning in hell" "god hates f*gs" etc... I hate on these people for the pain they cause others and for the venom they spew out. THESE people are a very rare breed and I don't believe hating them in any way shape or form reflects the kinds of things they do or stand for.

If I'm a bigot for hating westboro baptist church, then fine, and I'm sure 99% of the rest of the world shares my same sentiment...
