Mama

This was written on the 7th of June 2013.

"Laying there with eyes closed forever.
Meant so much to me, you were my mama.

Life will not be the same without you here.
Tender little heart holds pain and fear.

Taken too soon; many questions of why.
Will never be answered, as I look to the sky.

I miss you terribly, from deep within.
I'm not the same as I have been.

Poison killed you slowly over the years.
Eyes can't stop raining these salty tears.

I've gotta keep living and I can still grieve.
I'll never forget you, but I will let it be."

I cry with you. Hope memories of love soon take over your pain. To be strong without a Mum is not too easy. It takes some time, I had a similar experience not too long ago. I share the tears with you and thanks for sharing your beautiful poem with us.

I know there are many without a mom. I'm very blessed to have had her for as long as I did.
My little sister was 10 when mom passed. My mom was an alcoholic.
Everything happens for a reason..imo of course.

I feel your heartache Nat, you bare your sorrow with your words. But rest assured sweetie that she watches over you and your little sister still. Feel the strength and love she surrounds you with and embrace it, then your load will lighten and the sadness can be replaced with smiles.

You and your mother look like sisters, she's very youthful looking. I'm sure she and I are the same age, 47 here.

Nice poem, sometimes we have to write the pain down. I used to do this. Wrote a lot.

Thanks Daphne. She was born in 1965 on November 21.
My family on both sides have a youthful look. It's pretty neat.

I noticed I don't write as much in my journal.
I want to start writing and painting again...my mind has been really jumbled lately.
