Thus far, Silverman says, only about 600 people in the United States have embedded VeriChip transponders.

Wow, that's pretty bad, eh? It's a purely voluntary program, was limited in scope, and only 600 people did it.

So, how is that proving that "all americans will be chipped by 2017", which is ridiculous on the face of it.

I expect facial and retinal recognition software will make any attempt to use chips in people passe.

This. The DOD has already done demos in large cities wherein they were able to get iris prints off of passersby using a matrix of cell phone camera parts and image fusion techniques to get higher pseudo-resolution. Reading iris prints off of moving people at 40' or better, with no obvious instrument. THAT ought to make you more wary than some bogus chip implant.

Well, I'm not much of a history buff, so I am unable to pull facts from previous presidencies and connect dots like some people can. All I can do is speak to what is currently going on. Whether or not Obama first started it, I have no idea, but he is the first President I have seen that has ACTIVELY made LARGE strides to overturn Amendments and boldly circumvent processes that the other presidents you mentioned actually followed. Two parties is how our fore fathers decided to start our government - that was decided back with Thomas Jefferson/Hancock/Washington, etc. It may not have been how the pilgrims envisioned their new found freedom, but those who fought for our freedom from England decided it was okay to have a two party system. I think it wasn't until late 1800's or early 1900's that decided to have a Federal Reserve - again, I am not a history person. However, it wasn't until Clinton that we had the NAFTA agreement and that greatly changed the way our country trades with other countries. Since then, our country has been on a downhill slope, from what I remember. I was in high school when Reagan was in the White House. So I am not able to speak to his Presidency.

You do not know anything about me personally, so I am taking your comment as if you are sterotyping me with those who don't keep up with politics. It is not that I don't care about politics. I just don't grasp politics and history like some people do. That does not mean that I don't care. And it does NOT mean I am part of the problem. It just means I am not ever going to be a great politician. I do make efforts to understand and I DO vote and I did NOT VOTE for Obama!

You guys are missing it, it will be in your bloodstream. You see it on TV, well they can do it but there working to actually put in your system. You won't know it, go in for flu shot, woops you got tagged.

Not at all. You can't do an extremely tiny radio interface. When you guys read the advertising slicks from Hitachi, you never go get the data sheet - those tiny little parts require an external antenna the size of a business card. And they're e-field parts and won't work in your body anyway. The "flu shot tag" thing is another CT meme with no technical accuracy.

crimvelvet... try a lead foil lined pouch instead for your drivers license.

Lead isn't a particularly good shield for radio signals. But people get radio and radiation confused, I suppose.

Do not be too sure of that.

Nope, be real sure of that. Neither EDL nor the store stock tags mentioned in the article have batteries. They do not transmit, ever. Neither do Verichip implants, for that matter.

One of the interesting bits in Obamacare was a one liner requiring any business using cash to fill out a 1099 (?) for every vendor/customer. If you used a credit card you would be exempt from the paperwork....

B usinesses will have to file 1099 forms with both the IRS and send them to the company that provided the services or sold the product for every expenditure that exceeds $600.

In practical terms, here is what the new law means. Joe’s Plumbing prints up 100 color presentations at FedEx Kinko’s for a trade show in New Orleans, where they are staying at a Holiday Inn for six days.

At a minimum, Joe’s Plumbing will have to contact FedEx Kinko’s, the airline, Holiday Inn, the rental car company, and the organization sponsoring the trade show and get taxpayer identification numbers from them so they can comply with this tax law. The company will then have to send out 1099 forms to each of these vendors and dozens, hundreds or thousands more vendors, depending upon the size of the company, thus adding significant compliance costs to every business in America. Everyone from a company’s accountant, to building supplier, to carpet cleaner to janitorial service will be trading 1099 forms.

Yes, that’s right, trading 1099 forms, because at the same time, Joe’s Plumbing will also be receiving 1099 forms from every one of their business customers who spent more than $600 with them over the course of the year, which they will be required to keep and reconcile against their books.

Do you have any wonder why Joe’s Plumbing might be more than a tad bit irritated? The new Obama health care takeover just took a guy with a pipe wrench, pvc pipe and a plunger and forced him into Dante’s eighth circle of hell – tracking and filing IRS paperwork...

Luckily That one liner got killed. No doubt Homedepot, Loews, Sam's club and Walmart SHRIEKED! (snicker)

most rfid chips are passive, there are some active chips that have battery power but are more expensive.

if they start implanting chip , they might do both and increase the strength of the readers,
and start placing the readers where there are security cameras and red light cameras.

Implanted parts like the Verichip (or the one in your cat) are h-field parts. You can't implant e-field parts like an EDL or a store tag, because these types of parts use radio waves and you are pretty much a bag of conductive saline. Between the impedance step coming into and out of your body and the Maxwell dissipation issues, they just don't work. You can't use anything much but an h-field part. And with battery powered implants, you've got batteries to worry about recharging, and your 'victim' probably isn't going to recharge them willingly.

You can't interrogate an h-field part from a distance. It's a physics thing. So, implants that work well in your body aren't the sort of thing you can distance read from a red light camera, or a satellite. Just doesn't work that way.

Actually all they have to do is place a reader in automobiles and have the signal relayed.

If they start stapling external tags the size of a hockey puck to your ear like cow tags in this article, I think you'll know it.

I especially appreciate knowing that because I thought we did have to send out 1099's for anything over 600. But that might just be the amount for businesses hiring new employees - if pay them under 600 in a year as a temp for example don't need to worry about it. To extend that to retailers would be chaotic as can be. Good for those who crushed it. I do see cash going bye bye though. It's only a matter of time.

I was in HS for Clinton, age is no excuse.

If I am stereotyping its that of the average american which is my template to start with.

Throw in a little ignorance of history (down to the education system, which is the point of it to begin with)

Throw in some pretty bad short term memory (so you forget the cyclical nature of political theater)

This is not a personal attack, it is a statement I feel applies to a large majority of americans, they all buy into the theater of politics.

If you want to know what is going on, look at the momentum of history of US Government, there are a few things that Remain the same, despite the President.

That is how you determine whats really going on, what gets done despite the play acting of Politics.

Even the most ardent Obama supporters are hard pressed to deny hes not BUSH 2.0, to focus on the current President as the Ills of the nation is extremely Myopic and very american in approach.

When I say your part of the Problem its an Indictment to every person who dares call them self a Citizen of this great nation, and is doing nothing to save it, those who still focus on the Two party divide are at fault.

OUR nation is on fire, and its time to Get a Hose or grab a torch, Id rather grab the hose, than inflame the two party divide further.

Well, you can't really track someone with implants.

Their phones work really well for that, though, as do any payment cards and affiliation cards. And even if you use cash, at least Walmarts and Tescos photograph you on each purchase, if you EVER use a card or cheque of some sort, bang, gotcha.

Considering that ever since I have been on this site from the close the beginning (with another user name) this is not NEW NEWS.

The interesting part is that instead of going for the Adults (that didn't work) they decide to go straight to the source, Our KIDS!!!

With the rapid increase with Social Media that most Adults and Older Kids use, the youngsters will jump on board because this will be the New Thing and the Parents will have no problem with it because they will consider it just like Facebook, Tagged Photos and all.

The really disturbing part is the Library Teacher refusing a kid to check out a book, even though this teacher knows this kid maybe 1, 2, 3, or 4 years and because her job is more important wont let that kid check out the book.

We live in a much crazier world than we did just 10 years ago and we all need to be prepared. I for one will not be RFID my kid in Home School.

Oh good grief, look at the rest of what I said. All that means is the technology is for real and can be done if and when the Elite decide they want it done.

Obamacare is the natural method for forcing it down peoples throats. No RFID no health care.

Americans are already submitting to Grope-n-Fly ( 85-year-old woman may sue TSA after being strip searched at JFK Airport ) without too much outrage, so why would you think this is not in the pipeline?

I respect your logic, but Sheople have been fooled over and over for thousand and thousands of years by flowery (liberalized) language. It should be a capital offense to cast a vote in favor of something you don't fully understand ... no statute of limitations. Get questioned ... fail to adequately answer ... summary execution ... problem solved.

Well, to clarify a little further then, once again, I TRY to understand, but HISTORY does not stick in my brain like numbers do. Everyone has some things they are just naturally better at than others. Mine is numbers as in Calculus, some Physics, some Chemistry, some CPT codes and diagnosis codes, not dates. Hard as I try I struggle to remember my own families important dates. It is not good for any cause to immediately criticize people who are trying to help, just because you don't agree with or understand their motives/angle/ability/etc.

I have voted in every presidential election since I graduated High School. I follow primaries. I read up on the top candidates and I pay attention to the ads on TV. I have even looked up their voting record last major election.

I NEVER said I was FOR the two party system. I just said it was how our country was founded. Currently, I do NOT agree with either party - I think they BOTH have hurt our country and their lack of ability to stand up for the American people is deafening.

If you really want to see change in this country, I would suggest you stop criticizing those who don't do everything the way you do and accept the help when offered.
