What better way to drum up support for a unjust war, then demonizing an entire population, and then generalizing it, thus making every war "acceptable."

Once you get the suckers to go along with it, you can go make $$$ smashing and building anywhere you want.

Maxi, I SOOOOO wanted to post what you said, but I didnt have the nuggets for it. Its not exactly "politically" correct these days, but man I still needed to fight the temptation away...

You need to fight the temptation to call for murder and genocide? The extermination of 150 million people is something you wouldn't publically say merely because its not 'politicall correct'? How about not saying it because its morally repugnant? How about not saying it because its lo, loathsome, disgusting and inhuman?

I estimated the radical islamic world at 150 million, is that too high?

I want my enemy eliminated before he eliminates me, that's all.

Political Correctness has caused more harm to this country than you know.

I say good riddance to PC.

I fully agree, but you didn't clarify as to whom the number referred, therefore by default, it applied to "Arabs" as titled in the thread...
Nor is it determined that this man is a "radical" but instead it may have been a peace protest, as was suggested. (though setting yourself on fire is pretty "radical", I suppose...
)

I too am pretty anti-PC, but the clarification would have been nice...that's all. Thanks

cstyle, you make it very hard for non muslims to undertsand properly when you make jokes about people who were killed against thier will. Again I will not justify the "1 down" refference, but that man did this to himself, making a joke about some people who are willing to kill themselves is far different then making jokes about people who were mudered. You need a serious mental adjustment my friend. It scares me that people like you walk the Earth....

He could have shot himself, yes...but maybe the Fire was a sign of things to come. And maybe being in front of the White House was marking the place.

And as for my comment about the 1 down things...I didn't mean it. I was just saying it to make you feel how I felt when I read the other one.

American lives are not worth more than anyone elses, and I am an American.

a racist response would have been 1 down, 1 billion to go.

Sure, that might almost make sense, except that the guy the set himself on fire obviously wasn't trying to attack the White house. All that was known was that an 'arab' (tho now its found out he might not have been) killed himself in front of the white house, and obvious protest at the administration. A stupid protest, but one none the less. Then you come along with you 'millions to go' call for murder, just casually calling for the destruction of over a million people, because thats your 'estimate' of terrorists in the muslim world?

Political Correctness has caused more harm to this country than you know.

PC just makes people watch what they say. Calling for the murder of over a million people is what damages a country, not being careful in ones phrasing.

Nygdan

First up I didnt say it, it was a thought I had. At least I can admit that. But you are in a position to take a moraly high stance here because you can read and respond at your choosing. Im sure you have never had any thoughts that werent politically incorrect. Im sure Nygdan that must be the case. It would be real easy for me to sit here and take the high ground with you, but again im not afraid to say those were my thoughts.

Another thing you guys are all forgetting here: This guy did this to himself. I dont take much pitty on people who are capable of doing this, NO MATTER WHAT THE MOTIVE. And to have thoughts about more people who are willing to do this do it, doesnt make me a racist. Im not a religious man, but I do know its a sin in the eyes of God to take ones own life, if he isnt taking pitty on them, im not going to feel so bad that I dont.

I think it's realy sad that people "Coin" all people of a certian faith just because a group of Reglious wacks want to kill people who are not there faith in the name of god. Lets cut of all this raceisum crap and get back to the point at hand.

If you want to Shoot off about ceritan races, go find a KKK or NAZI form and post in there, they like that kind of stuff.

The other inportant fact is that most people of arab and Muslem decent are here in this country because of the $hit that was going on over there and didn't want any thing to do with it.

I think some people are missing the point. The 150 million figure does not refer to "all arabs", or "all followers of islam"...it refers to radical islamicists who are pent on destroying the US.

Would I like to see all terrorists in the world commit suicide without harming innocents?

you bet i would.

Everyday people come to the end of their rope and do all sorts of things. Kill themseleves, whole families, jump off bridges, step into traffic, run the hose from the car inside thehouse, etc, etc...

This man could have casued much more devastation than he did.

1. Was he saying anything before he lit it up
2. Did his son die in Iraq?
3. Did his wife just die from cancer and he was fed up with it all.
4. Was he a big Kerry supporter
5. He thought the CIA had bugged his head and this was the opnly way out....

anyone getting the point? A death occurs and suddenly it was done to "stop the atrocites occuring in Iraq". Then the 1 down, 150 mill to go comment was a little non-pc, but it is with sarcasm I would hope.

And a side note.....

And also to anyone who talks about 9/11 in the context that was referred to here, and you know who you are, how about a big go hold yourself tight it will be OK. That was unwarranted, and if you live in America, please move. You cannot sympathize with the combatant, and attempt to tell people you are an American. Empathy is one thing, sympathy is another, Look them up if you don't know the difference. If I met you in a bar and said such things I would buy you a beer because you must have not friends. I do not care about warnings on this one either. Trivializing 9/11 and comparing it to the death of a psycho in fromt of the white house is beyond good taste.

And here I was thinking that America was free country.

On another note, let's get on the internet and tell everyone whose views we do not agree with that they would get their arse kicked by you in a bar. Tough guy!

How is speaking my mind is a cowardly action? Tough guy, yes, but I am not hiding behind a computer, trust me. I am trying to make a point that it is one thing to empathize, and understand the plight of someone in trouble. It is another thing to sympathize and HELP the ones you feel for. I am just trying to show i feel that sympathy for the insurgents in Iraq is the same as support for AQ or OBL or any other radical Muslim terror group.

I truly feel sorry for the Iraqis that are caught in the middle of the conflict in their country, but I am glad that it is not Arizona they are fighting in. I would never try to push the point of view of an Iraqi insurgent or freedom fighter, and i was attempting to express this through 'obscene means' to make a point that I disagreed with the entire line of reasoning.

As for this garbage....

As for the person saying "1 down, 150 mil to go"...

How about this one:

"3,000 down, 250 million to go."

or how about:

"1100 down, 120,000 to go."

How do you like those?

I still cannot beleive that NO ONE else had the balls to say anything against this. If I have to get warned for defending my country, so be it. I eidted my posts to be more pc....

Did we forget that young American who shot himself in the head at ground zero people ? He was not an Islamic man, nor Arab...

Once again, how many times has this occured in U.S. history? Is the man who America re-elected too 'cool' to speak with his own country men? Why is there such a disconnect between the American public and the Goverment?

Deep

Yep, the government is disconnected from at least HALF of us because they're doing things that we disapprove of. Bush really has'nt made much of an attempt to communicate with ALL of us. Remember he said, "If you're not with us, you're against us"? I think he included his own countrymen in that.
He's just such an ultimate authority that it's almost like you're a heretic if you question him or his policies.
The guy that set himself on fire must've thought that way would get the most attention or something.
