WASHINGTON -- The White House defended its ethics record on Wednesday after reports surfaced that one of its top health care policy officials was leaving the administration to take a job at a pharmaceutical giant.
Liz Fowler left her post as deputy director of the Office of Consumer Information and Oversight at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for a senior position in Johnson & Johnson's government affairs and policy group. According to Politico, which first reported the departure, Fowler would be leading the company's "global health policy," which has raised a few flags.
Following the passage of ObamaCare, several of the smartest people I know claimed that the bill was actually written by and for the drug and insurance companies rather than “the people” as Obama had claimed. My friend and orthopedic surgeon Dave Janda wrote an excellent piece that I published titled: Thoughts on Obamacare from a Surgeon and Friend .
In recent days it has emerged that Liz Fowler, who is said to have been one of the key architects of ObamaCare, is doing what any good revolving door crony capitalist would do. She is moving to the private sector to receive her payoff. Trudy Lieberman of the Columbia Journal Review explains that:
What was most amazing about all of that was that, before joining Baucus' office as the point person for the health care bill, Fowler was the Vice President for Public Policy and External Affairs (i.e. informal lobbying) at WellPoint, the nation's largest health insurance provider (before going to WellPoint, as well as after, Fowler had worked as Baucus' top health care aide). And when that health care bill was drafted, the person whom Fowler replaced as chief health counsel in Baucus' office, Michelle Easton, was lobbying for WellPoint as a principal at Tarplin, Downs, and Young.
Whatever one's views on Obamacare were and are: the bill's mandate that everyone purchase the products of the private health insurance industry, unaccompanied by any public alternative, was a huge gift to that industry; as Wheeler wrote at the time: "to the extent that Liz Fowler is the author of this document, we might as well consider WellPoint its author as well." Watch the five-minute Bill Moyers report from 2009, embedded below, on the key role played in all of this by Liz Fowler and the "revolving door" between the health insurance/lobbying industry and government officials at the time this bill was written and passed.

Oh what a great find. Why am I not surprised?
Following the money trail is always very enlightening.

Where was this Info when the bill was being written or debated?
Did the republicans go after Obama's camp with this?
No need to answer any of that, Its rhetorical.
“And the banks — hard to believe in a time when we’re facing a banking crisis that many of the banks created — are still the most powerful lobby on Capitol Hill. And they frankly own the place.”

While this looks like "news" back when the Obamacrap was been written and debated in the house, we here in ATS exposed who where the ones behind the bill, but guess what, nobody listened, most people had their heads up the socialist agenda propaganda, now I find very interesting and even comical that people are posting the surprise, guess what is old news for many of us, that actually dissected the Obamacrap and warned others

Where is everyone that was in that Obamacare thread?
This isn't important enough?

I wonder if any big investments have been made on the market in any of the companies soon to pull down major profits off this bill.

Sorry if my post comes out to strong, but I did not mean to bash the OP just the news that now seems to make it to the light and the public eyes, but when Obama was debated everybody in politics and news media played dumb, while pushing the socialist motto, this make people completely forget who were the people and corporations behind the bill.
