If you read through the first 4 pages of the thread you'll find out that this is not related to NASA at all, some guy just linked to NASA's twitter and facebook accounts and somehow that makes this marketing site an "official" NASA site...

Also, it has been found out already that this is a marketing site for a game, around page 4 or 5, but who cares! thread will go on...

And this is how myths and urban legends are made lol.

That site is a marketing site for a game, it turns out the guy linked to NASA's twitter and facebook accounts just to create the illusion of being related somehow, and of course everyone felt for it, and now everyone is just assuming its true, the site is an official government site

It doesn't matter that it doesn't take too long to figure out that anyone can link to twitter or facebook or any other public site, but somehow everyone is just ignoring the fact and continue to believe something is going on.

48 hours have passed since discovering this is a hoax. Moderation in this forum is pretty atrocious!

If we want to find out if this is real, all we have to do is listen to Alex tomorrow. He will not let anybody say that he has been informed of a huge event without confirming it himself.

My pet peeve is someone being a jerk because they think they are smarter than someone else. I am guessing you are a 30 something living in a basement. I could be wrong but since we are making baseless judgments about people, meh.

Alex Jones is a nut but maybe it comes from the fact that he has been right about more things than not. It would drive anyone a little nutso to get marginalized when you know the truth.

I'm a web designer, so am currently in the process of reverse engineering the website to create a duplicate and see if there's any extra info I can possibly syphon behind the scenes (try and find out where this theme originated.)

So far I've gathered...

# The code is squeaky clean (HTML5)
# The META name author is set to 'NASA.GOV' (this doesn't constitute any proof however...)
# They appears to be a 'sepia' version of the website, with a different background/image of the earth.

Here's what I have so far (you see not hard to copy! )

Having a hard time buying into the idea NASA has anything to do with this website though.

It's defiantly not NASA. The site www.rememberthe13th.com is on the same IP as www.opblackout.com and a few other sites. Considering www.opblackout.com was also a countdown site to OCT 1st. Now on OCT 1 the site www.rememberthe13th.com was bought and created . There has been many Threads here on ATS about the countdown on www.opblackout.com.

Just for shiz and giggles, here is a little theory. I am unsure if opblackout.com is from Hacker group or not. But maybe the countdown to OCT 1st was for the Gov. shutdown. Close to 1 million Gov workers are furloughed, so maybe there is alot of GOV. servers being unattended to which would make it much easier to hack. Hence the date Nov 13th will be the date of an actual blackout? Again that theory is for shiz and giggles only

Oh by the way here is the other 2 sites on the IP, but that does not mean its owned by the same person. However

rockstarannouncement.com and www.opblackout.com are all through ENOM and protected by WhoisGuard. So more than likely all 3 domains are owned by the same person.
