I post this in the UFO forum fully aware that this along with most things posted in the UFO be debunked. If so please do so politely..

In the small Mayan Town in Ichmul, Southern Yucatan. A boom was heard followed by a fireball blazing across the sky. The boom was strong enough to shake building and make window break and disrupt the power supply. Some people thought it was an earthquake.

The fireball missed the town and impacted just outside. It destroyed small buildings and melted phone lines.
Local people went out to investigate and here is where is gets intresting. Upon atttending the crash sight locals recovered peices of metal some of which looked mechanical in nature. They also recovered what looks like the charred remains of a figure about 12 inches tall.

Some of the debris does look intresting however..

Some of the local people think that sky people intercepted the fireball and saved there village.

We do not fear the sky people, they have come here for many centuries, watching over us and protecting us from such things, all our ancestors talked about them

I guess it is possible that what the people are seeing is debris from the impact sight. However the local people see it differenlty..

Looks like it used to be some sort of manifold.

Very interesting - I have heard a number of stories from South America regarding 'little people', notably 'El Duende', though that particular character is held to be nefarious, and not at all pleasant. If 'sky people' are said to have intervened, I imagine that the matter will be debunked shortly; however, stranger things have happened at sea.

South America has plenty of mythology related to aliens/ sky gods, I'm sure participants of the thread will add in some references (I'm on my phone so it's tricky).

FITO.

There was a Earth-Bound Asteroid for Sunday, September 29, 2013.
I wonder if this could be it? The article has no date, only "Sunday at 8:30 pm, 2013"

LOL....so the ship broke apart and exploded in the sky but the tiny, frail alien inside stayed intact? Interesting but I would have to say either a typical foreign country hoax or it was just space debris.

Space debris, but those two girls in the front look exactly like all the Aztec and Mayan (mostly Aztec) statues I've seen. Talk about pure bloodlines! Wow. How beautiful they are. (Unlike us mongrel Europeans...)

Could it be possible that the alien ship didn't intervene, but rather went down in flames?

Could explain the boom, subsequent fireball and charred alien body/ metallic remains. Some of the pieces look very much like a broken section of skull.

The fact that even some people believe this crap, is why UFOlogy is such a joke.

Bodies are recovered from plane crashes, so where is the logic fail?

The fact that people like you write off an unusual story as bunkum without giving more than a cursory glance at a couple of photographs, is the real reason that UFOlogy is in such a mess. Where are your sources to back up your unreasonable appeal to emotion and derogatory insults? Because that's all you did there - can you see that?

That so called figure looks more like some pieces of charred whatever are put together to resemble a figure.

The fireball impacted just outside the town, destroying a few small buildings and melting several power lines, no one was reported hurt in the incident.

Local police and some residents who attended the crash site, recovered pieces of burnt debris from the scene, including several melted objects which look mechanical in nature.

The most interesting find was a charred humanoid figure, roughly 12 inches in height, with a head, two legs and two arms.

I wonder if it is possible that one of the small buildings that was destroyed by the fireball contained a 12 inch tall statue and objects which look mechanical in nature?

That would present the possibility of no alien presence.

Some space junk fell to Earth. Putting a fantasy spin on it is just what over-imaginative people need to do. I do not put anymore thought into it, because I do not need to. It is not an interesting or believable story.

That and I love how they took a picture of it but did not get the whole "being" in the shot and only have one picture....

Well...just judging by the wreckage pics they posted and what they said they heard and saw, a body coming down and almost wholly intact like the one in the picture seems not probable though I guess it could happen.

If "aliens" care about us so much, WHY are they kidnapping, paralyzing, probing, mutilating, and raping us?

"The thousands of contacts with the entities indicate that they are liars and put-on artists." ~ John Keel

Many of them claim to be here to “save” us from looming disaster. And they speak “good” things to us. Others appear to be non-friendly. Don’t be fooled. Things are not always what they appear to be. There is evidence that these are simply two “fronts” to a clever game orchestrated by the same group. They are intelligent and able to communicate with us. But they are liars and con artists. You could never trust them.

But there is good reason to believe that it goes much deeper. The entities can be identified as the Legion of Lucifer, who are filled with insane hatred for the human race. Their aim is our eventual destruction. In fact, the current wars, crime and corruption in our communities point straight at this sinister and deadly organization exerting their control in the highest echelons of government, business, science, religion and medicine, worldwide. If you didn’t know, a master plan is in place to bring down America, China… the whole world, very soon. Don’t let your preconceptions blind you to this reality. Forbidden Secret

Well-known UFO researcher John Weldon said, “How creditable is it to think that literally thousands of genuine extraterrestrials would fly millions of light years simply to teach new age philosophy, deny Christianity, and support the occult? And why would the entities actually possess and inhabit people just like demons do if they were really advanced extraterrestrials?”Source

This is the REAL reason:

“a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth” ~ Revelation 9:1

“I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven” ~ Luke 10:18

Don't see how anything more could be expected considering the source material is just a couple of photographs and a cursory description of the alleged events. If you ask me, acceptance of such source material as evidence of such a sensational claim without even exploring the most obvious of conventional explanations is the real reason UFOlogy is in such a mess.

Yes, I know... wild speculation on my part.

Those look more like Fulgurites which are caused by Lightning. That would explain the big booms...

Fulgurites are natural hollow glass tubes formed in quartzose sand, silica, or soil by lightning strikes although they can be formed by a meteor impact, those are often not rope shaped or hollow.

They do not look like parts of a ship, or a burnt being, or the actual meteorite, they do however look like a Fulgurite!
