Looks like he was a disgruntle employee.

Michael Thacker, a spokesman for Hewlett-Packard, confirmed that Alexis worked for a company called "The Experts," a subcontractor working on an HP Enterprise Services job to refresh networking equipment for the Navy Marine Corps intranet. Thacker could not say whether Alexis was still employed by that company at the time of his death. But investigators were looking into claims that he recently lost that position, which they say may have set him off.

This is how he gained access, He has a Contractor CAC, it is the universal ID for military base access. It would be accepted to gain access to any part of the base short of Cypher areas. It has a Green stripe to differentiate between DOD/Military and Contractor. He also would have had a DOD Auto sticker since his job was on-board navy bases.

It would be up to "The Experts" to have retrieve his CAC ID if he was let go, But I know personally that many times the person fired would just leave and not turn in the ID.

By the time he made his way to the building, he was free and clear of initial base security.

And his code or ID should have been disabled in the system and if he arrived, security should have immediately been there to greet him. The CAC should have contained a chip. I would think any ID used there would have a chip or bar code or something that could set off a computer warning that this person was no longer allowed on site... and working for dod contractors myself, I know the FIRST thing they would do is change the code on the door lock and have to go tell everyone there was a new code because they didn't issue personal cards... but they always did that right after they fired someone. Not within a day or two... immediately after the person was escorted out.

Yes, both military and contractor CACs now have embedded chips in them. But one misconception is that these chips are "scanned" in order for you to get on base, but this is not the case. In most cases, when you arrive to the gate at the base, they simply take your CAC, look to make sure it is you, ask you what business you have on base, and let you pass on through. There are times of heightened security when they do random deep dives and car searches, but this is not the norm.

As for not being allowed on site, there wouldnt have been much of a reason for them to look out for him. Unless he was fired for some sort of serious breach of security or gross misconduct, word would not have been put out to all base locations to have them watch for him and stop him at the gate. If they did that every time a contractor gets canned across the country, they would have to increase the number of gateguards tenfold, because most of them would be spending their whole shift just checking lists.

If all they do is glance at the card, then they are a complete waste. They don't add security in that case, they take security away by giving the card holder a pass... and they have chips in them for nothing if they don't use them.

As for serious breach... in any place I've ever, ever, EVER worked in... if somebody gets fired, it is understood they are going to be pissed off...and security always looks out for them to come back. They escort them all the way out... they don't just let them leave. They may not always look for that person to come back angry, but especially right after it happens the person didn't have to do anything wrong. They just know they are going to be pissed.

As for the articles... the 2nd one in midnight tdes post said it was created on the 15th, but modified on the 16th. They could have made the page ready for a breaking news article, but they are not supposed to have the wrong date on them. So it could be explainable...although the excuse is a shoddy one unless they are just trying to make the gun toters paranoid...and I am still totally leaning on this possibility because of the other elements of this ordeal.

However, I think it is very strange that even if they had the page ready for an article on the 15th and neglected to change the date that the source code says it was last modified on the 16th at 8:49. This would have given them 29 minutes to find out all the info in that article and report it to the press and have them write the article and publish it... 29 minutes from the first shot fired. I find that kind of remarkable.

This report was made by a defence official who wanted to remain anonymous.

Why is this persons very first thought "hurry up and call the press"...???

Anyway... I'm certainly no expert. I just looked at the code and saw that it had a last modified time on it but I have no idea why their system would not automatically update the date to show the date the publish it on their servers. No idea what so ever. I would think they would have some kind of automatic check on that but perhaps not.

I tend to think someone is jerking our chain and they want us to think it is a conspiracy... and it I think it IS a conspiracy, just not the kind of conspiracy they want us to think it is.

That's the ONLY motive I can come up with.

The guy may have been pissed about something, but I think he was set up like a domino if this did in fact occur.

As far as that website BS goes, I'm not even going to mess with that. Its so easy for one to falsify that information, and there are so many ways that this can come about, its just not worth wasting time on.

The main use for CACs at this point (for contractors, anyway) is for network logon, not personal identification. I am not going to into any details about how they are used, what on them allows for network logon, etc ... but in my personal case, mine only comes out of my badge holder when I need to get into my computer at work. Otherwise, its in my badge holder so my baby boy can waddle around the house playing with it and chewing on it. This guy worked for a subcontractor of the company that I work for and he worked on the same contract that I work on, so I would imagine that his use of the CAC was similar to mine.

I mean it is sounding more and more like there was virtually NO security or that somebody really dropped the ball no matter how you look at it. I don't see how this place in DC could have such lax security when we supposedly have terror threats all around us. I mean wasn't the guy packing 3 pieces?

I mean if he was not taking in equipment and did not still have a job, how did this get overlooked? What's the point even wondering if he stole an ID or used his own?

We are talking virtually no security at all OR... he had a presumed job to do there, which makes this whole thing even more suspicious.

He brought a shotgun and STOLE the other guns from the men he shot! From what I understand!

How does one sneak a shotgun into an area with any security at all? Not exactly easily concealable.....

LOL No idea, just saying he didn't go in there with three guns.

I don't see how he even got a shotgun in and I also don't understand how people are walking around with loaded assault rifles but allow some guy who supposedly no longer works there walk in and start shooting up the place.

... but then again, there are a lot of things about this that don't make sense to me.

Strange facts... He was close to ground zero on 9/11??

He shot out some people's tires deliberately and the charges were dropped.
He shot through his ceiling and charges were dropped... and he had a weapon permit.

His brother in law said he had not been home in years? He traveled abroad. Traveling out of the country is not cheap. How can you be angry at a past employer and throw money at traveling over seas?

This guy is sounding more and more like an operative. I wonder if his body will ever actually be seen by anyone... anyone at all.

The guy was a buddhist.
They call him a conspiracy theorist.
They say he was the type who thinks he knows more than other people which is to suggest he would argue... and perhaps debate with people on facts such as the thing people on ATS talk about maybe?

Now we have this article thing which is really going to get to some of us... and I think they are doing this on purpose.

They know that this is going to be fuel for the tightening on gun ownership, yet they have laid the breadcrumb trail for us to think it is conspiracy and will demonize conspiracy theorists in the process with the character of their assassin.

Somebody should demand to see this guys body and somebody needs to step up and tell us about where this guy has been and not leave it all to speculation.

Why I am continuing to post and why this is upsetting me is because I know this will be mishandled.

We need a completely impartial group to be handling this and not the regular players.
I think this was an obvious set up and if it could be handled right, it could expose a lot imo, but it's not going to happen and dammit... why do we have to sit back and watch this # happen on such a regular basis?

That is pretty weird, but i don't understand how it is possible. I don't have the ability to go ask people east of here this question but if you say this is true, then I have to say one way or another, you've had some kind of strange experience.

I don't want to derail the thread but is there any way you can prove this and bring up your thread with any proof or eye witness reports? Are you pulling my leg? You're right... this is totally messing with my head.

Interesting... but more interesting if you can provide sources. maybe it's googlable, but right now, my mind is all googled out.

Does anyone anywhere have the ability to spy on government facilities that could possibly come up with some answers? I just don't think we are getting the real version of the story. I mean they have satellites that can spy everywhere, but does anyone have the ability to spy on something like this? What if that was the reason this place was chosen? Maybe the fact that this guy might have been going a little screwball because of witnessing 9/11 and might have taken some bait to be apart of something against the US, he was usable... but it looks like they just LET him in to do this... and I wanna know who funded his travels.

There is more to this story and somebody knows what it is and I'm waiting for them to spit it out and I know I'm going to be waiting a long time. COME ON!

The guy was also kicked out of the Navy for behavior issues, he also has a police report of shooting some guys tires out ....he also has a record of shooting a gun into the roof of his apartment....

When a person in a country of 300 million wants to kill, they can kill...gun, knife, hammer, chainsaw...it doesn't matter.
